Forced Marriage: Thirteenth Wife

Forced Marriage: Thirteenth Wife
Promise Done

"Mother." Eris came to the room where she had locked up Medea before. "Comeout. Mother's confinement is over."

Although not looking, Eris could smell the aroma of alcohol downing by Medea. As Eris approached the sofa where her mother was sitting, a faint glass slammed onto the table sounded.

"Don't say anything if it's your sister's death" the woman muttered.

Because Eris' orders locked her up, Medea had no idea what the situation was out there. He only guessed which of his children who managed to survive in the action of attacking each other.

I don't know how many bodies are lying at Eris's feet right now.

"Mother." Eris could feel the emptiness within her as she called out to the woman who gave birth to her. "Does Mom also think that my decision was wrong?"

Eris's question created an unstoppable pool of water in Medea's eyes. The woman covered her face, trying hard to resist the roaring cry. Eris's words were like hinting that Elios is dead and Eris is winning the game.

"Mom, I'm just gonna ask you that one thing. Please be willing to answer," asked Eris weakly.

".... No." Medea replied with a suffocating voice. But for Eris' sake, she tried hard to answer him. "You might do the right thing."

"...."

"But it hurts, Eris. Hugely. The path you choose is always painful for everyone, including yourself."

Eris smiled bitterly. After so many long years, three decades more, for the first time he really questioned whether his decision was right?

"Mother, this family is too big to be led by a momentary feeling." Eris felt a seat for him before he sat there. "I decided that my decision was right."

Medea was just crying.

"Nernia's death was correct, losing my eyes was also true, including Eirene's death was true. That's the thing that deserves to happen."

Medea's sobbing voice leaked out just like that. "At least don't say something like that in front of your mom. Do you understand that Mother gave birth to both of them? You understand, Young Master?"

"Does Mom understand the burden I'm bearing on that title?" Eris replied to miris. "I know you're now harboring hatred for me so the last time we talk, I'll tell you something."

"...."

"Elios is alive."

Medea jerks. "But you—"

"I'll kill him next time, without a shred of hesitation, if he does any more trouble. But at least once, I want to stop Mom's crying."

Eris grabbed a glass of alcohol in Medea's hand.

The loneliness in Eris' heart widened uncontrollably when she heard her mother running away, heading to where the child she truly cared about was.

No. gabe. That's fair and doesn't matter at all. Eris knew that she would not be loved like Elios because she threw Elios away on the day that Medea was still crying over Eirene's death.

"I've never been a good boy" Eris murmured before she toasted to herself, having lost everything.

"Bring my cats here" he commanded whoever was on standby at the door.

The cat is Eris's only friend. He would never kill them because they would never break Narendra's rule.

"What are you doing here?"

Eris turned her head even though she could not see Arkas. "That's my question," he answered Arkas's question just now.

"I asked about Roxanne." Arkas hands Simon to Eris's lap while the other cats meow at her feet. "Why are you here and not with him?"

"Stop asking the obvious."

Roxanne will be leaving Narendra soon, so why would Eris see her? It's much easier to part ways if there's no goodbye, at least for Eris.

"It's not you," Arkas murmured, "letting things go. If you want, you can get it. Their divorce was formalized."

"That signifies he has to leave in a moment." Eris pretends not to understand.

"Eris."

"The decision to release Roxanne from Narendra was good enough, Arkas. There's nothing better than that."

"You love Roxanne."

"What's important?" reply Eris. "I can force the death of a person but not by liking. Roxanne doesn't see me the way I see her."

It was evident from how he freed himself from everything. Roxanne wants to be free and free. He wanted that freedom so Eris would give it away.

Didn't he promise? Eris will give what Roxanne nau if she wakes up.

Now that promise has been fulfilled.
