Forced Marriage: Thirteenth Wife

Forced Marriage: Thirteenth Wife
74

Roxanne fell asleep a while later. Aided by a number of life support tools on his body, Roxanne is not too much of a problem without food.

Roxanne lets her body rest completely, and throughout doing that Roxanne knows that Elios is next to her.

He sat there waiting for Roxanne to rest.

It took about four days until Roxanne actually opened her eyes to face the person by the bedside.

"Sleep longer, my wife."

Eliot. He really wanted to play the drama of his dear wife.

But Roxanne won't be around anymore. After experiencing everything, Roxanne only wants to do what she wants without forcing herself to anything other than her will.

"Elios."

From behind his blindfold, Elios opened his eyes to the call.

The only time Roxanne dared to mention Elios by name was when he went crazy in the park. Is he going to say that again?

That Elios did something wrong and he's just a loser?

I don't have a problem. That's why I'm tormenting him more and more.

"I'm lazy."

Elios raised his thick eyebrows, somewhat surprised. "What?"

"I'm lazy." Roxanne repeats it so well that she hears. "I don't want to pretend to like you anymore so you can stop pretending to like me too. I've been so lazy."

Why is he just silent? Shouldn't she have said something because Roxanne just spewed out honesty that hurt her pride?

Or what? He wants to stop Roxanne's life support to get her dead?

"I—" I don't care about threats anymore, is what Roxanne wants to say.

But before that happened Elios suddenly removed his blindfold, looking down until his face was in front of Roxanne's face.

Elios's eyes are not foggy. His eyes were not disturbed by hallucinations. He was really staring at Roxanne and it wasn't the eyes of hatred.

"My wife" he whispered weakly. "It's not just you who's considering everything."

Roxanne riveted.

"I am indeed the man who strangled you a while ago, I also played you. But, things can be different when reason arises."

"I really want to pay attention to all of you. I realize my responsibility, Roxanne. I'm not pretending at all."

When Elios came out of the room, the first thing the man did was take his hand out of the sleeve of the garment.

Fortunately Elios's clothing sleeves were large in addition to thick, so Roxanne was unlikely to be conscious when Elios scratched his own arm with a dagger.

"Sucks." Elios flicked his hand as a simple way of throwing blood on the floor.

The pain there is not important. Elios was just upset about having to lie.

"Why tarnished me, Eri." Elios muttered with a wry smile. "I had to say such a silly sentence. Hah, my wife is of no use. That's why I have to work hard."

"You are also never useful to your wife, which is why they are useless."

Elios snorts. Not surprised even though his hand was suddenly grabbed by Daniel, swiftly wrapped around the cloth to cover while bleeding.

"What's really going on until you hurt yourself? And where's your blindfold?"

"I had to open it because someone became very troublesome." Elios took a breath. "I don't want anyone else claiming to be Eri in front of me."

In order to prevent the hallucinations, Elios created the pain in his body as it is now. If he had followed Narendra's law, Roxanne would have died from making Elios hurt himself.

"Isn't it because of the drugs?"

"Before I can be sure it's a cure, I'll continue to assume I'm a natural hallucinator."

Elios pulled out his hand which had now been wrapped in a temporary bandage. Removed another long cloth from his pocket, put it up to block his own vision.

The drug Roxanne used was not found even if Elios had asked Daniel to look, so Elios did not want to take the risk.

It could be hallucinating. Elios could never count how many times he missed his Eri.

"I'm being very sensitive about lying." Elios walked back. "Call Mary. I need a friend in my bed right now."

"Mariana's? Not Graean?"

"Only Graeans are reliable in this place, so I should at least use other livestock for the things they can do, right?"

Graean was busy taking care of the important things, so the unimportant people were moving for the small business.
