Forced Marriage: Thirteenth Wife

Forced Marriage: Thirteenth Wife
Monsters Like Me Don't Fit In With You

Even though the trial was over, the real problem was not yet resolved. But maybe the real problem isn't something that big.

The real problem is the ego and revenge of each.

Arkas pulls Eris with him for a ride, going to see Roxanne. As Arkas stood before him, looking into Roxanne's eyes, he realized that he was completely useless even though Arkas had tried hard.

"I know Eirene wishes I was wiser" I told her. "I knew he didn't want me to throw Elios out of this family. I did it because I was angry and my anger dragged you all along."

Arkas recalled his first conversation with Sanya. He came and told Arkas that Arkas and Elios were the same. Although Arkas did not kill anyone like an insect, he did not really protect anyone, especially the wives of Elios.

"I did something wrong, Little Brother. I made a lot of mistakes. Please, forgive your brother and give me a chance to prove my worth to the future."

Sanya smile. "Just not wanting to be your sister."

"Sanya—"

"Just don't want to talk to anyone other than Brother Roxanne." The girl passed by, leaving just like that towards the Main Leader.

He seemed to say something and Arkas saw Dad nodding at him. After that, Sanya disappeared with Askala.

"Am I that useless?" ask Arkas not to.

But Roxanne shook her head. "Just hate Narendra and you should know."

That's true too. Arkas nodded in accepting it. Feeling that now it is better to take advantage of this time to rest because other problems can be saved for later.

Arkas pats Eris on the back and leaves her with Roxanne.

As only the two of them remained, Eris smiled weakly.

"I got slapped today" whispered the man as if he had not expected. "My mind was filled with three choices. Throw you away to Elios, pick you up and fight Arkas, or kill you."

Roxanne knows. He knows because Eris muttered so long last night. He was scared and kept on being scared. Although it takes time to understand, Roxanne at least already knows what she needs to know.

"You planned this?" Eris would not want to think so.

But unfortunately Roxanne shook her head. "Do I look like I can plan something extraordinary?"

He said he was following Sanya. He spoke while thinking about Sanya and those words just came out of his mouth.

"You set yourself free" murmured Eris. "And now I feel unworthy to ask for anything."

"...."

"I'm sure in a while Arkas will issue your divorce agreement. All of Elios' wives, except for Diane, will be released. You can go back to your place or go wherever you want. You don't have to see hell anymore."

Roxanne looked at Eris' face fixedly. Maybe the limp made Roxanne suddenly want to sit down, or because of something else, but the woman pulled Eris to come sit with her.

There's something that since yesterday Roxanne's been trying to hold back.

"You're sorry you killed Nernia?"

Eris shook her head. "It has to."

"I didn't ask about the rules, Eris. I asked about your heart. You regret killing Nernia?"

Once again, Eris shook her head. But he answered differently.

"I miss Nernia" she replied. "When I pluck out my eyes for Arkas, to put down the rebellion, I endure the pain not because of Arkas."

"...."

"I held him down because of Nernia. Maybe deep in my heart, Roxanne, I consider all this punishment because I hurt Nernia. But I don't want him back alive. I refused even though I missed him."

Eris reached out to hold Roxanne's hand.

"I won't ask you to be my wife now. If you're a human and not a cattle, a monster like me doesn't suit you."

"...."

"But guess what's good about that?" Eris. "This proves that Narendra's wife is not supposed to be from among ordinary women. You're too human to accept our hellish lives."
