25. The Unjust World

It's been two days that Roxanne served Elios at his stake. On the first day Roxanne served, to be honest she had no pity at all.

Why would he care about someone who strangles him? In fact, Roxanne was probably quite content to see him punished this way.

But after two days, Roxanne becomes uncomfortable because Elios is still there.

Still in a standing position, still in a position like a crucified person, even when he was sleeping though. The only time it was released was when Elios had to go to the restroom, and only three times a day accompanied by the Graeans.

"First Young Master is not a forgetful." Graean. "He remembers clearly. But it's not time yet. If you understand, keep your mouth shut and just look at the results of your actions. That way you'll learn."

Roxanne can only bite her tongue. There was a corner of his heart that hurt thinking that this was also because Elios was strangling him. If he hadn't strangled Roxanne, he wouldn't have been punished.

But ....

But maybe that's just an excuse. I mean, Arkas' reason for punishing Elios.

Not because Arkas cared for Roxanne or appreciated her as a woman, but because she needed a reason to strangle Elios back.

The world is unfair, so Roxanne doesn't want to be sad about it.

The priority now is to take care of Elios while he waits for his sentence to end.

Roxanne could only stare blankly at the food in front of her. He was not pensive because of Diane's words but because ... because ....

"It's been two weeks. Young Master is still being punished for you." Diane said it very calmly. "Even it seems that First Madam has also been very upset?"
