episode 134 The Statue of Penguin
This morning, Sakura prepared to leave for Hong Kong to prepare for their reception party which will be held in another week at the Sauran family residence. Likewise with me, I must prepare to go to Germany to meet the great family of Refald with my father. For 2 weeks, I will travel around here and there to fill the vacation routine that I have to run while I am abroad.
This is the first time I've ever felt like a real daughter-in-law. Maybe my friends would laugh if they knew I was married. My husband is still sleeping in my room. I feel old when I'm almost 19.
I walked down the stairs and went straight to the dining room where Sakura, Sauran and Dad were there.
“Ohayou (good morning).” I greet them all. It's nice to be able to use Japanese in my own home country.
“Ohayou,” says Sakura and Sauran together.
“Ohayou, Shiyuri, you're awake. How is Refald. Is he okay?” ask me while I'm busy cooking.
Making breakfast is the custom of the father since the late mother is still alive. However, since my mother died, we would take turns cooking every day. Unfortunately, I ran away from this routine. Somehow it hurts to remember memories that should be beautiful, turned into irony that I no longer want to remember.
The image that Refald showed me last night makes me sad again if the time I will spend with my father is just counting the days.2 years from now, is the rest of the time for me to be with my father.
“Why is your face beaming like that?” a stark insinuation from Sakura, she sits next to her husband, Sauran.
“Who is beaming? Are you talking about yourself?” I attacked my brother. In the past, every time we had breakfast together, we always fought for things that were not important. As it is now. My childhood memories made me smile when I remembered them.
“Of course his face is radiant, Sakura. Her husband is in her room. Today they will meet family, surely my sister-in-law is happy. I wondered, was your face as red as she was when she was about to meet my extended family back then?” Sauran followed me.
Sakura recalls the incident where she was going to meet her husband's extended family. “Not really, because from childhood I've met them all. Unlike my sister who has never met the great family of Refald at all. Surely at this time my sister is nervous once.” Sakura smiled as she drank her milk.
“Keep taunting me as you like, the important thing is you two are satisfied!” I also drink my milk. “How was your first night? Success?” my question was to make my father and Sauran choke at the same time. The father who was preparing breakfast for us coughed at my question. I admit that my question is blunt without further ado.
Wrong yourself, who told you to taunt me! My heart is deep and I'm sure Refald is hearing our conversation right now, he must be laughing upstairs.
“Where is Refald? Is he better?” tanya Dad tried to divert the conversation while melting the awkwardness that occurred due to my question.
Sakura and Sauran were silent while focusing on the food. I just smiled at the silly behavior of the two who were still shy.
“The two of them have not changed at all,” muttered me while massaging my head.
“You said what?” ask Dad.
“Ah, no Otousan.” I got up from my chair and stood next to my father. “Otousan,” call me to Dad.
“Iya, what's up Darling.” I was busy with his cooking.
“You asked about Refald earlier, Otousan.” I blinked one of my eyes at my father and walked around the newlyweds. I stood between the two of them and bowed my body so that it could align with the heads of the two while saying. “Seeing from the faces of the two of you it seems that last night my sister-in-law had already broken through my brother's goal. That is, you are no longer virgin, Sakura!” I looked at my brother who immediately covered his face with his hands. “And you are no longer a virgin, Sauran! Congratulations to you both!” I straightened my back and walked out while picking up my dad's sushi.
I hummed with satisfaction to make the two newlyweds embarrassed to run out in front of dad. “Feel!” muttered.
“A-what's wrong with Shiyuri? Since when did he talk like that?” ask dad while shaking.
I just laughed at how shocked my father was right now. Who taught me? Of course that pervert Refald.

There was only one place that had not changed and remained awake until now. That is the playground in the middle of the complex where I often use to play and practice everything with Sakura. This place is our favorite place to get tired. And what I like most about this playground is the large penguin statue that I used to skate on.
“This penguin statue, still in its place.” I walked over to the big statue and tried to ride it to skate like I did when I was a kid.
When I got to the top, I looked around the place. The view is just as amazing as it used to be. The buildings of towering buildings were in plain sight, the difference in number was more and more than I had seen before. Even my school building is visible.
“Sugoiii, I'm much taller now.”
Closing my eyes, I began to sit down and prepare to slide. Again, I want to feel my childhood here, in my favorite place.
My body seemed to fall from the clouds as I began to launch myself from above, until somehow I felt that someone had suddenly caught my body without warning. I opened my eyes and found that my body was already in someone's arms.
When my eyes opened, the first thing I saw was the chest field of someone I knew so well. Who else if not Refald.
“Hai,” greet Refald while smiling sweetly at me. I just realized that Refald was jumping from one tree to another while carrying me.
“You're up?” ask me while wrapping my hands around her neck so I don't fall.
“Already!” Refald was still jumping and only stopped on a tree if someone passed by, he just continued to jump again if there was no one.
“Where are we going?”
“Street-path,” Reply Refald briefly.
“I mean, where are we going for a walk?”
“Ke forbidden forest.” Again, Refald smiled at his sweet smile.
“Ha?” I was stunned to look at Refald as he mentioned the name of the forest.
“You scared?” ask Refald.
“Not as long as you're with me.”
“We'll see later.” For the umpteenth time, Refald's smile seemed very suspicious.
