episode 41 Promise of Refald 2
"I know you'll never believe what I'm saying, Fey!" Refald looked at me with all his heart and soul. "Over the last seven years, I've never slept well. That's because I can't stop thinking about you. Thinking of the little girl who became my fiancee.
"We cannot both resist the wishes of our parents for this matchmaking. When I first saw you, I fell in love with you. Your grim face when I see me makes me want to tease you even more. I realized that at our childhood, the love I felt was just monkey love. But, ever since my family was deported from your country, I've been unable to control my feelings. The love I feel for you grows as we age.
"My one deepest regret is that I left you alone to face all sorts of trials that God has destined for us. A year after my departure, I set aside my allowance to go see you. That was the activity earlier this morning. The next activities are Repling and Prusiking. The basic rock climbing technique. This technique requires strong hand and leg muscle strength and physical strength in order to perform this technique. For beginners, this technique is indeed frightening and very draining. But if you are used to it, this technique will be a favorite of members of nature lovers not even afdol if you do not do it.
The seniors have already prepared the equipment needed for the basic activities of rock climbing. Because this is only a practice, the rope is not installed directly in the cliff area, but is tied to a large tree that is considered strong to do prusic repling. This is done to anticipate beginners who are afraid of heights so as not to be traumatized or parno.
After all the equipment, equipment and safety are installed properly, the participants are collected under the tree to immediately carry out this rock climbing exercise. Some PMR members are also on standby in case anyone gets hurt.
When everyone watched the Repling process, the atmosphere became very tense, because we have to use maximum physical strength to climb with all the existing security equipment. However, different when doing prusik, which is the process of plunging down using a rope that has been used when doing the repling earlier. This one technique does not spend much energy and just stay gliding. The only obstacle is one, the guts. People who are afraid of heights, surely the guts will be small if they have to jump directly from a height even though they have used safety.
There are many techniques that can be used when doing prusik according to their respective expertise. Everyone at the bottom asked me to come down immediately, but I was stunned to see how high I climbed. The cold sweat started pouring out and I didn't know how or what I was going to do now.
Until someone suddenly grabbed my waist from behind and hugged me and pulled me down by holding on to the rope. We both came down with our eyes looking at each other. My hand reflexively hugged him while the man's hand held the rope that brought us down. The other hand, still tightly hugging my waist.
