“What are you talking about in your uncle's room, dear.” I started a conversation when Refald drove me home after dinner with Randra's uncle and Halimah's aunt.
Refald didn't answer right away, I can guess for sure he was thinking about whether he would tell me or not.
“There's something, Honey. But I can't tell you now because I still can't be sure. I have to find out first the truth and then I'll tell you everything.” Refald was still focused on driving. I trust Refald completely.
“You're like a detective.” I smiled at Refald who looks even cooler with a serious face.
When viewed from his current attitude, it seemed that there was indeed a very serious thing. It was not usual for Refald to behave this way even if he knew he was in danger. Is there any more of this? Hopefully it's not a bad thing.
“Finely, before I find the bright spot of this matter, you should always be with me. I will take you wherever you go, even if you go together with your friends, I will accompany you.” Refald's seriousness in speaking makes me even more curious about what's really going on. I was confused because Refald suddenly turned protective.
“What the hell is it? Is there something that harms me again?” I was wondering, because I've never seen a Refald this serious.
“Don't worry Honey, there's nothing. As long as I'm beside you, you're safe.” Refald did not want to tell me what the problem was, but why did he have to involve Uncle Refald all?
Maybe that's what made Refald come here to see his uncle. Or their meeting was intentional and planned to discuss a matter I do not know about at this time.
There must be something going on. Refald just doesn't want me to worry so he won't tell me now.
On the way home, we were quieter than usual. Refald was too focused on driving and I struggled with my own thoughts. But I'm sure there are a lot of things that Refald is thinking about right now.
“I'll pick you up in the morning, I'll go home first and say hello to your Grandma and Dad!” exclaimed Refald, who was still in the car when we got to my house.
“You don't want to go inside?” manya curious.
“It's late Honey, what does the world say if I've been here a long time. We are not officially married.” Refald kissed my forehead gently.
“Since when do you care about what the world says?” I sat down while opening the car door.
Refald just laughed, “Come in, I'll go after you get in,” the door and I'll go straight to it.
Before I opened the front door of the house, I turned towards Refald who was still looking at me. He smiled at me and waved his hand. I returned his wish and went into the house.
“You're home, honey?” ask the father who is sitting in the living room while reading the newspaper. I was surprised to see my father here alone. It was already 21:00 p.m.
“I'm home, Otousan. Why are you still here? Is dad waiting for me?” I sat next to Dad.
“Of course I'm waiting for you, where's Refald? Why didn't he come in?” dad is still flipping back the newspaper he read, it seems like dad is looking for interesting news.
“Tomorrow we must go to school, tomorrow morning Refald will come to pick me up and we leave together, which is why Refald went straight home and did not come in so that tomorrow we are not late. Refald sends his regards to Grandma and Dad. Is Grandma asleep?”
I'm surprised you wanted to take Refald to play igo. Is that how close the two of them are?
“Dad, did Dad bring the igo board here too?” I just found out that Refald used to play igo with dad. I wonder who won among them, because my father was very good at playing igo. That's why my late mother loved my father so much when they were young.
“No Darling, dad can play igo online.”
“Oh yes? Since when did you play igo with Refald? He must have always lost to Dad, that's why he never told me that he had played igo with Dad, right? How many times has Dad beaten him?”
“Every time Refald visits dad, he always plays igo with dad. Back then, he still couldn't find you.” Dad put his newspaper on the table and stood up. “After night, go to bed.”
I stood following my father. “No one can beat Dad igo game. I wonder what Refald looked like when he was defeated by Father.” I smile smilingly at the face of Refald who was upset because he lost playing igo with his future father-in-law.
"There's only one person who can beat Dad" my father said as he walked up the stairs.
"Oh yeah?" ask me to be curious and follow my father behind him. "Do I know him?"
"You know him well." Dad made me wonder more and more about who is the one who managed to defeat the igo master title that father has.
"Can Sakura beat Dad?" i'm second-guessing.
"You know for yourself that your brother doesn't like playing igo."
I don't know who the man that Dad meant. In Japan, the closest people to me besides my father were Sakura and my late mother, nothing else.
"Mommy, right?" I still haven't given up guessing.
"Your mother is a big fan of my father. He can't play igo. Just play chess, he can't either. How could your mother beat me?"
"Then who?" I finally gave up guessing.
Dad arrived in front of his room. He looked at me seriously.
"That man made me decide to betroth you to Refald."
I was stunned to the point of not realizing that my hand was moving by itself shutting my mouth.
What man did you mean by father was Refald's father?
