episode 39 Premonition

Refald laughed to see my face flushed with anger. I forcefully pushed his body and drove Refald out of the tent. It was hard to finally get Refald out of the tent and everyone greeted us with a gaze I could not understand.

“This you guys! If you want to show off intimacy not here?”

“This is not a place for honeymoon!”

“Fey, were you on purpose? Invited your husband here to show us off?”

I was surprised to hear the comments of the average female seniors who were still single, and I did not know what to answer. Refald laughed and took them away from me because he saw my face red as a tomato.

Unlike my seniors who were here first. Mia and Nura were astonished to see Refald being with them, even Refald looked very familiar. These two friends of mine walked over to me with questionable faces.

“Did I not see wrong? Is it true that person... is Refald?” Mia asked who was still staring at Refald along with the other seniors.

“No! They all said it was her husband, Fey! What the hell does that mean? When did you get married, Fey?” Nura started to digress everywhere.

“Is that Really Fey? You're married? When?”

“What are you talking about? If I get married I can't be here! Who wants to get married anyway! I still want to enjoy my youth!”

“But... they all say...”.

“They were all just teasing me!”e

“But how can Refald also be here? Hasn't he gone?”

“He's back! I just saw him yesterday too, and I'm also surprised he came here last night?”

“What? Last night? In that tent? You two sleep in one tent?” Nura was surprised and still thought nothing.

While Mia covered her mouth with both hands, "Good dragon...."

“It's not like that!” I explained to Mia and Nura the actual chronology of events. “Have not been discussed again! You better get ready quickly because soon we will hold the opening ceremony as soon as the juniors and builders come!”

Nura and Mia agreed.

“Wait!” I grabbed Mia's arm before she left. “Didn't you see Yua and the other PMR members?”

“They are in the back along with the others.”

“Alright then!”

Not long after, the person I was waiting for finally arrived. Our juniors and coaches have also arrived, they were immediately greeted by some seniors and some directed the juniors to march on the field immediately. They are allowed to sit and rest for a while to unwind after the trip before carrying out the opening ceremony.

Yua and the PMR members have also arrived. But I was very surprised to see who was among the PMR members. Via, Epank's lover, apparently also participated in this activity. But he was not invited.

I walked over to Yua and whispered in her ear. “What is this, Yua? Why is Via coming too?”

Yua invites me to stay away from their crowd. “I don't know either, he already came with Epank when I got there earlier!”

I intend to go to Epank to ask him directly why Epank invited Via. But Yua held me back as if she understood what I was going to do. “Don't, Fey! Leave it!”

“But, Yua...”

“It's okay, Fey! You take it easy, okay!”

I feel bad for Yua. I remember the moment when Yua was excited to hear that only she and Epank would participate in this activity without having to be bothered by the existence of Via. But now, all that is gone. Via came along and I could immediately imagine how he would mess things up.

Yua left me and went back to her group to improve and prepare for the opening ceremony which was about to start.

Unbeknownst to Yua, I pulled Epank some distance away from where we were camping and talked to him.

"What are you doing? Why are you taking Via too?"

Epank was a bit confused by my words. It might sound strange, I shouldn't ask that considering Via is Epank's lover and it's only natural that he takes his girlfriend with him wherever he goes.

"What's up, Fey? You mind if Via comes with me?"

I felt nervous and regretful for offending Epank. "It's not so, sorry if you're offended. I was just surprised that Via came along. This activity is not the same as other activities, I'm just worried...."

"You don't worry!" Epank cut my words. "I guarantee Via won't be troublemaking here. He was just worried about me." said Epank as if he understood what I was thinking.

"Alright then, forgive me if you're offended by my words."

"No! I should have apologized for being disrespectful to you back then. I hope you understand how she feels."

I stared silently at Epank. He's too good for Via. I can't imagine what would happen if Epank knew what her lover was like.

"What's going on here?" ask someone I have already memorized his voice. Who else if not Refald the troublemaker. He walked towards us. "What are you two doing here?" Refald looked at me with a jealous flame. Epank and I did nothing. I don't like his nature like that.

"You also brought your girlfriend here apparently?" fashion Epank. But he was instantly silent as soon as he saw the flash of anger in Refald's eyes.

"I didn't take her! He came here himself." I looked at Refald who was still looking at me. I don't know why I'm happy to see Refald burn with jealous fire.

Epank felt awkward himself. So, he decided to leave first. "Well, then .. I'll leave you both here." no one answered Epank, and the guy left confused leaving us still staring at each other without a sound.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I tried to melt away the jealousy that Refald felt.

Refald brought his face closer to mine as if he wanted to kiss me. I took a step back but Refald kept coming towards me. Until finally my back hit a tree behind me. I really don't like it when Refald behaves like this.

"What are you gonna do? A lot of people are gonna see us?"

"Stop! If you don't want me to scream!"

"Just yell!"

"There's a builder here too!"

"Bodo very! We'll just go home to KUA after this!"

"You're really not sane! What are you doing?" I tried to forcefully push Refald's body, but he grabbed my hand and held back my movements.

"You haven't answered my question. What are you talking about with Epank in a place like this? Why stay away from the location? What's up?"

Refald looked at me and was about to kiss me because I didn't answer his question either.

"I'll say!" my yelling. "But get away a little, give me some breathing room."

Refald took a little bit of his face away from me. Now our distance is only 10 cm. He locked me with both arms on the back of a tree so I couldn't escape.

"I don't like Via being here." I ended up telling the truth. All because of Refald who intimidated me.

"Why?"

"You know the reason for that. We've fought this problem before. The last time you went straight away left me without saying goodbye." I insinuated, because in fact he went straight away after we argued in the hospital that time. Although the reason he left me is still unclear to this day. Either because he had a fight with me or because there was something else that made him have to leave just like that.

Refald. He let go of his grip and turned to gently hold my hand and kissed it. He looked at me again. This time his gaze turned heartily and was filled with love. The anger from the fire had suddenly disappeared instantly.

"I left, not because we were fighting at the time. But, I feel like it's time you knew who I am and what our relationship really was like. That's why I went and saw your father!"

"Therefore you came with me and Eric?"

Refald nodded slowly. "I don't want to keep this secret for long. I was so eager to meet you that I couldn't resist my desire to embrace you with all my heart when I found out that you were my fiancee whom I had been looking for all along. I even felt guilty for hating you for the wounds on my hands caused by you. I have so much to leave because of this wound. But after thinking about it again, thanks to this wound I was also able to find the person I had been looking for all this time. Even I was made to fall in love twice by the same person."

"I don't understand what you're saying!"

"Photo that. I doubt my feelings. As long as we're apart I don't know what you're like right now. I even wanted to break off our engagement just as I received the ring you gave your sister. But, before I decide on it, I would love to meet you to reassure my feelings for you. I can't believe I met the girl in the photo I gave you. I fell in love with the girl in the photo."

I remembered the photo that Refald gave me, it was a photo of myself.

"That's my picture, right?"

"Really! but I didn't know that the photo of the girl that made me fall in love again turned out to be a photo of my own fiance!"

In my heart I smiled to myself. I didn't know that the person I hated and made me feel what love was also turned out to be my own fiance. What an irony our story is. We have to go around in circles so we can get back together again.

"Why are you smiling?" ask Refald.

As fast as lightning I hid my smile and innocent expression. "I'm not smiling. You may have seen it wrong!"

I was about to leave Refald but he swiftly held my hand. I looked at Refald.

"Take me off! I have to get back to my team! They might be looking for me!" of course Refald didn't listen to me. He held my hand tightly without taking it off.

"Regarding your friends' love triangle story. What makes you insist that Yua is so much better than Via?"

Refald's question stunned me for a moment. I thought of a secret Via which I kept in meetings and only I knew. But now, I'm forced to tell Refald everything if he doesn't want him to make a mess of my activities later.

As the two of us preoccupied with chatting, there was a siren sound that signaled the ceremony was about to begin. I rushed to where the organizing teams gathered to follow the ceremony. Refald himself decided to go home.

"I'll come back later" he said before leaving.

I'm nodding. "I'm sorry I can't keep you company!" Refald kissed my forehead gently.

"It's okay. I'm going first. " Refald let go of his grasp and passed away.

All the participants lined up in the field that was in the middle of the tent. This ceremony activity is my own who guides as the chief executive of this activity. This opening ceremony was opened first by the builder who gave his remarks about what activities will be done while at the campsite in the middle of this forest.

Then followed by greetings from some alumni and seniors who provide guidance and advice so that all participants can obey all existing regulations from the event starts to finish.

When I asked one of the vigilante officers on standby to help guide our event to give a speech at this opening ceremony, they all refused. They said that what the coach and some alumni have delivered has represented what they will convey as well.

I feel weird actually. But there's a point, too. For some reason since Mia and Nura saw strange things, I always felt that there was something strange in this activity as well. Hopefully what I think will never come true, and I hope it's just my anxiety.

Once the ceremony was over, the participants were asked to return to their respective tents to eat their provisions before the next activity began at three in the afternoon. During the grace period of rest of approximately one and a half hours, all can get ready to rest and clean up.

The first day, the activities held were not too heavy. Only the delivery of material about survival and some other material related to nature-loving organizations such as repling and prusiking. That is the basic rock climbing technique that is most popular with members of nature lovers.

While the second day is a live practice in the field which will be held tomorrow morning after breakfast.

I intend to hold a meeting together with my team led directly by our coach. But my steps towards the tent came to a halt when I saw Refald still standing upright staring at something alert.

I'm surprised he's still here. It's been 30 minutes since he left. I wonder why he looked at the periwutani officers with such a watchful look.

"Fey! Come here!" Lisa called. Looks like Refald doesn't know that I'm looking at him. His eyes seemed to see something I didn't know. I would love to go to him, but my other friends are waiting.

What was Refald doing there? What's the matter?
