LOVER MONSTER!

LOVER MONSTER!
121

Another day passed again, like a never ending torment. Demian gnashed his forehead, calming the dizziness that had arisen from lack of sleep. Demian felt that his head could explode at any time because the fatigue that had accumulated in it was already overloaded.

However, back again in reality, a new day came again along with the sun that had just risen. Demian's head was still in a safe condition, not bursting into disarray.

Demian hoped his head could explode. That's better than overloading and fatigue.

"I've got a report from Vegas today and Jessica hasn't returned yet." Rio-si assistant who previously devoted her services to Christian-provides a report. Demian heard Rio's report and only nodded in reply.

Demian was not at all surprised or upset over the information. Demian had already guessed that this situation would not be easy for him. It's never gonna be easy if that asshole Oscar Brown intervenes. Damn it, how could Jessica give her trust to Oscar, that man is a snake man!

He's a fucking asshole who finds pleasure in people's misery, Oscar...,

'After all, he's better than me, huh?' Demian sat in with a wry smile.

Jessica must have thought so if in the end she chose to dump Demian and ask Oscar for help. Jessica must be in trouble until she asks someone else for help.

When the person who was supposed to help Jessica was her, Demian messed things up. Demian is a problem in Jessica's life. The person that the woman hates and wants to avoid.

"Mr Demian, what are we going to do now?" Rio's waiting for orders.

"I don't know" riled Demian. He rubbed his face tired. "Maybe. Jessica's going back to Vegas, anyway. That's his house. For now, let him calm himself."

"You sure?"

Rio's hesitating, actually. Remembering Demian's first reaction when Jessica left. His superior was almost insane, he even nearly killed Erthian with a furious rage.

Thanks to its crumbling combined with the wrath, the entire atmosphere in the mansion became gloomy, like it was covered by a black cloud. No one dared to speak or comment on it. No one dared after Demian beat his own brother all out.

No one wants to take the sequence number two to hit the next.

"I don't know anymore..." Demian closed his eyes. He anchored his head on the table, cheeks met with mahogany wood that still smelled like a new table.

Demian's eyes panned lethargicly towards the bookcase.

On the other hand, Demian is actually not willing to let her Jessica spend time with Oscar. That bastard's a fucking asshole. He may look friendly, but who knows what his head is. He's a snake, a snake!

Demian knows nothing about Jessica and Oscar's friendship, not knowing if the friendship will remain a friendship if Oscar makes himself a backup for Jessica. What if Jessica turns away from him? Forgetting it? Smiling at someone other than yourself?

Demian didn't want that. However, Demian knew being around her all this time had made Jessica suffer. Jessica needed some time to rest from the pressure she was under.

If only the one who went with her was Dania, a two hundred percent Demian would let Jessica take a space from her. But...

'Why an Oscar from everyone!'

Demian recalled back when Jessica called Oscar her hero. The angel-hearted man who has contributed to his cafe.

MOTHERFUCKER! MOTHERFUCKER!

"Rho..." Demian pulled his face back straight as before. He looked at his assistant who was sitting at the table in the corner of the room. Away from his desk.

"Yes, Sir?"

"What makes it possible for men and women to be friends normally?"

Rio was somewhat astonished. "I don't think Mr. Demian has a friend in Vegas named Angela Lancaster? I heard you guys have been friends for a long time. So..."

So that should be possible, was Rio's intention. However, Demian frowned ambiguously.

The problem is, in the eyes of ordinary people, the relationship and Angela does look normal and normal. But, that's not true. Demian ends up liking Angela and when Demian's feelings fade, Angela becomes obsessed with her. Their friendship was never normal and ordinary.

"By the way, where did you get that information?" Demian changed the topic.

"Mr Christian never let you really get out of his control" Rio said.

Also true. If it was Christian, Demian wouldn't be surprised. That bastard's not gonna let go. Wasn't it because of the man's scrutiny that Demian chose to do nothing in Vegas that could make him showy? Because of that man, Demian's life was now a mess.

Now, as soon as he got what he wanted, he was as happy as he was to take a vacation to Venezuela and leave this mansion under Demian's responsibility!

Taking a deep breath, Demian moved from his desk. He left the stuffy room and headed for the balcony on the fifth floor. He stood there again, staring at the blue sea that stretched far away. Houses with pastel colors are seen in the distance, clinging and surrounded by a grove of trees that turn grim.

While staring at the ocean, Demian thought back to Jessica. Demian thought about the thing that aggravated her relationship and Jessica was because she couldn't believe Jessica's words. Jessica was so hurt when she found out Demian didn't believe her, didn't believe her words.

But the real problem is not that.

It's not that Demian doesn't trust Jessica. It's just, all the clues lead there. Demian knows his brother's personality, he's so rotten to his bones. Not a single Demian lover has ever escaped his intrigue, by force or pleasure.

They all ended up in his bed.

Demian knew that and Demian did not blame Jessica, Demian blamed himself who always failed to prevent Erthian.

Demian did not blame Jessica. If the girl is embarrassed to admit the reality, Demian is willing to close his eyes and pretend that everything is fine.

Yet...

Jessica considers Demian's understanding as treason. Disdain.

"Enjoy the morning breeze, Demian?" like never a deterrent, Erthian appeared behind Demian. He sat in a wheelchair after Demian nearly killed him with a terrible stampede and blow. Carlos-si bodyguard-standing behind Demian. He was also battered here and there after trying hard to protect Erthian.

"Well, it looks like it's going to rain. The weather is very bleak." Erthian spoke while looking up at the blue sky which was indeed gray.

Demian glanced at Erthian at a glance, and did not say anything. That bastard did not deserve his attention, Demian already had too many things that were in his mind.

"I see you still can't find Jessica," but Erthian is Erthian. He knows how to lure sounds out of his sister's esophagus. He knew the right topic to draw Demian's reaction. Just as Erthian had expected as well, Demian immediately threw a sharp glare at him.

"Want me help you find him? I'm pretty good at finding those-"

"It's better if you keep your mouth shut!"

"Pfft, Demian..." Erthian chuckles. "Why are you so rude? I'm talking well?"

"..."

"Do you think you'll find Jessica when she gets back to Vegas? I mean..., do you think you'll gain her forgiveness and understanding?" Erthian continued speaking. "Tell me one thing about women, let's just say it's a dating trick from me. Bonus!"

"I don't need anything from you!"

"You need," said Erthian. "Because he won't forgive you again, never will. I seriously. When he finds his composure and makes a solid decision to leave you, he will completely abandon you."

"..."

"Women like that Demian. If you want to get them back, you can't let them think straight for a second. If they think clearly, you will only be faced with a brick wall later. Sanity is excellence. To win, you need to make your opponent nervous."

"Is that how you play tricks and manipulate people?" Demian threw a cynical look full of excitement.

He didn't want to hear Erthian's nonsense. Even if the trick was the truth, Demian would not use the dirty trick to manipulate Jessica. He is better off doing things in some way and failing, than conquering Jessica with a dirty psychological game.

"My tricks are very effective, aren't they? I mean, I did it to you and it worked. How about trying it on Jessica?"

"What's..."

"That night,." Erthian dragged his words, eyes staring at Demian full of twinkling jokes. "I didn't touch her at all."

"..." - ".Demian's eyes widened. Hands clenched firmly for a moment.

"Why..., what? Why would you do that?" Demian's heart raced, breathing hunted by emotions that began to peak into the crown.

"Otherwise?" Erthian - without hesitation - moved his wheelchair closer towards Demian. He looked at his brother with a piquancy.

"So you want to be the head at Bellamy, of course. When a person is helpless, they often seek instant strength and power. You've got it now, it's just.pffftttt.., it looks like you've lost something you wanted to protect."

"Fuck, what have you-"

"My gift.." continued Erthian, he looked carefree even though now Demian's hand was clutching the collar of his shirt. "You became very ambitious after receiving my parcel. I purposely gave it to you because I see you're still hesitating about your choice to become the leader at Bellamy."

"Why are you doing this? Isn't this all your dream?!"

Erthian looked at Demian right in the eyes, a thin grin playing there. "Since many people doubt my position and choose you, I want them to see you in the position they think is more appropriate for you, Demian. Now, they must have seen how great the Bellamy leader was mad about a woman

Hahaahaha. Did you know Hestia was possessed by many of her followers? Aaah, that's so funny."

"You did all this, you ruined my life just for that? To avenge those people?" Demian was completely in no way out of thought.

He thought that Erthian would never let him down because the man had let him down over and over again. However, just as he wanted to break his own record, Erthian came up with a new thing that succeeded in keeping Demian fixated.

"Those people, the people you don't care about, Demian, are the branches and branches that helped Bellamy thrive. They're not just anyone. They need to be taught a lesson to choose the right fertilizer for their tree, or they'll die."

"..."

"Now they all know you don't consider them important at all. They lamented their choice and wanted me to take your position. Hahaahaha. Aaah, adorable, isn't it?"

"Erthians!"

"Don't blame me. I'm just doing something really important to me." The smile on Erthian's face faded, replaced with calmness. "You too, filled that position solely to fulfill your own interests, right?"

"..."

"Now everything is no longer important. Not if Jessica doesn't exist. So, what are you gonna do?"

...*...

Jessica propped her chin up on the table. A pair of emeralds panned toward Oscar Brown who was sitting relaxing behind a yacht - who was somehow his, but they were wearing it - while holding a fishing line.

Just serious.

They've been floating in the middle of the sea for three hours and Oscar hasn't gotten a single fish to fill his bucket. Jessica thinks she can jump into the water and swim to the beach so bored.

When is he gonna be here?

Jessica is desperate to return to Vegas, but Oscar has no intention of going home yet. He said he still wanted to enjoy the atmosphere in Bologna longer. Without being able to protest against the will of the man who had helped her too, Jessica was unwilling to let herself be dragged into the 'holiday' Oscar moment now. Even though that means being stuck in a yacht with Oscar with a myriad of snacks and a box of beers.

"Are you sure you have bait there?" Tired of chewing a snack, Jessica finally approached Oscar who was sitting alone. The man was wearing sunglasses, and when he looked up, Jessica could see the reflection of herself in the man's glasses.

Jessica's expression was bad.

"Fishing takes patience" Oscar said.

"Waiting for you to fish takes patience" said Jessica.

If Oscar had gone fishing and got a basin of fish, then Jessica wouldn't mind letting the man have fun. Unfortunately, he had nothing in his basin. He sat for hours without success.

"Waiting is also the fun part."

"I just feel bored."

Oscar laughed faintly. "You're not a fun fishing buddy. Sitting for hours without doing anything is a good time to reflect on yourself and your situation. You can be pensive for hours and find peace. Isn't that more fun than getting fish?"

"Is that your real purpose?" Jessica didn't know that Oscar had a moment she wanted to reflect on as well. Jessica thought the man did not have any unrest seeing from his relaxed and apathetic attitude.

Jessica regretted interrupting the man's silence.

"I don't have such a purpose. I just want to go fishing. I've been perfect in my every act, I don't need introspection." Oscar broke Jessica's sympathy in the blink of an eye. "What you need to introspect yourself is you, right? You need to fix the contents of your tangled head."

"I'm sorry to talk to you."

"I'm giving you a chance to meditate, Jessica. Why are you even pouting?"

Jessica dropped her ass on the fence. The sea breeze blew her black mane, and she looked beautiful there. Oscar believes Demian will drip saliva if she sees Jessica there. Hahaahaha.

"I don't like the way you force me to rethink my decision" Jessica said.

"Am I impressed by forcing?"

"so. You keep saying shit that implies the same thing. It was as if I had made the wrong decision. Do you think I'm wrong?"

"I'm sorry I left such an impression, but Oscar doesn't look like a sorry person. "I just want you to rethink your decision, and it's true."

"Why?"

"Hasty is not good, right? After you are in a lot of pressure.., it is only natural when the stress you want to escape. But.., now you're not under any pressure. You can think clearly and rethink your situation."

"I don't have to think about anything" Jessica said. "Demian doesn't trust me, and that reason is enough."

"What about Demian?"

"What about her?"

Oscar lowered his glasses to his nose. "Throughout Demian's life, when he was having puberty, when he started liking women, he always ended up in bad luck. He was hated and betrayed by the woman he loved, all because of the tricks Erthian did to you."

"..."

"When the situation happens over and over again, leaving a deep trauma, don't you think when the same situation happens to you, he'll think you're going to have the same situation."

"But Erthian is not..."

"And Demian doesn't know that. He was used to understanding that Erthian had always messed up his life. To think that Erthian didn't touch you is harder than to think that Erthian touched you. Because Erthian was never half-and-half."

"My feelings or are you trying to make me understand Demian?"

"I just want you to think mature. You and Demian are new to this love affair. Building trust is not easy either. Misunderstandings can occur. The important thing is, how do you respond to that misunderstanding."

"You're too wise. I thought you wanted Demian to suffer?"

"It's just between you and me" Oscar said. "I just want to see him upset. Suffer? That's not my style at all."

"Why do you want to upset him?"

"Because he's beaten me so many times, I'm frustrated." Oscar rotated his eyes, caught off guard when recalling his defeat at the gambling table.

Hearing Oscar's response, Jessica laughed. "You look a lot like your grandfather."

"I hear that compliment a lot."

That's not a compliment, but, thank you.
