LOVER MONSTER!

LOVER MONSTER!
35. Speak four eyes.

"I wonder what's your reason for approaching Jake this whole time, boss?"

When Jessica thinks her life will be as normal as ever, when Demian isn't in her life, when Jake doesn't bother her through chatty messages that invite her to meet, Jessica is faced with one of her troublemaking trio - Angela Lancaster!

How could she forget Angela Lancaster?

Jessica felt as if she had just swallowed a round ball when Angela brought up their delayed four-eye talk. No, rather than being delayed, Jessica forgot about the meeting.

Jessica was too busy arguing with her own mind about Demian until she forgot the lover of the heart of the man who had stuck his head two days ago.

Because Angela had charged him, Jessica felt disrespectful if she continued to buy time. So, this is where Jessica and Angela are now. At a table in the corner of the room, near the smoking area, facing the exit and away from the attention and crowds.

Jessica sat face to face with Angela, waiting for the girl to open her mouth. However, unlike Jessica's expectations, after Angela opened her mouth, Jessica felt that the girl was better off not talking.

"What do you mean by 'my goal' approaching Jake?" Jessica repeated Angela's question in the hope that the girl was just wrong in how to convey her question.

Jessica hopes she doesn't interpret Angela's words the way she says them. Because it's so insulting.

The goal? Does she think Jessica has a sloping goal of getting close to Jake? Jessica... approaching Jake? The structure of the question alone is wrong. It wasn't Jessica who approached Jake, for God's sake!

"You know what I mean" Angela said. There was no feeling of guilt after accusing Jessica with her words. "Listen.., boss.., I may respect you in this workplace, but out there, you mean nothing to me. The person who means something to me, as you know, is Jake."

"And?"

"And I won't let anything bad happen to him."

Jessica nodded, "Can you define more clearly this bad meaning?"

"You know, if you take advantage of it, I won't forgive you."

Okay, just get there for a second.

Jessica, after hearing Angela's words, fell silent for a moment. He looked at Angela with questioning eyes. Among the thousands of simple questions on her mind, the thing that most bothered Jessica's mind was, where was the brain of the girl before her now?

"Angela," Jessica said later. He forced himself not to laugh there. Jessica's bad habit is to laugh when very angry. Devil's laughter.

"Let's not be long-winded and be honest with each other." Jessica crossed her arms on the table. "Your words just indicated that I approached Jake to use him, didn't they?"

"I didn't say it like that. I'm just saying when..."

"You said you only had respect for me at work, in other words, in this place, but you didn't show any respectful behavior at all, Angela. Now, you're on Elixir. Do you know who owns this place? Who gave you the wages? That person is me."

"..."

"I served you with this shit when you were supposed to be at work, cleaning every corner of the table my customers left behind. You should have spoken well, Angela."

"I've spoken well" Angela argued. He ventured into the eyes of emerald Jessica who fell towards him, judging him.

"To speak well, you need to correct your intonation. Raising your voice, and giving such a sharp expression.., is that how you pay your respects to your superiors?"

Angela tight-lipped. He knew he was supposed to fight, but given his current position, when he was not at the mercy of anyone, when Jake was not on his side. Angela doesn't want to lose her job. He had no one by his side who could help him.

"Angela," Jessica said. "Even if I use Jake for my own sake, do you feel you're on the right side to talk? You're nobody to him anymore. Aware."

"I might not be anyone right now, but Jake was the one who was once a part of my life. When he's in an unfortunate situation, I."

Haaaa~

Jessica felt a sense of unease while talking to Angela. Does this girl still like Jake? If so, they better be reunited.

The situation surrounding Jessica right now was none of her business at all. 'Oh, Lord.., leave this unnecessary trouble to others. I don't care about anything!'

"You're a high moral woman, Angela." Jessica has no intention of clarifying anything now. He's already bored.

"Let's just say, if you feel like I'm taking advantage of my relationship with Jake right now, how about you come and talk to him in person? Talk to me. Honestly, it won't change anything."

After all, the one who takes an intensive approach is Jake. Although the approach is meant to be a fatigue relief only, in fact. Jake just needs a friend. When the stress is all right, she'll forget about Jessica. There's no more meaning there.

"Does this mean you won't back down at all?" angela's facial expression tightened, restraining the growl.

"I'm just where I am" said Jessica. "Oh, it's almost 12 in the afternoon..."

The number of customers entering through the door began to multiply, Jessica noticed her guests began to scatter at the table.

"Before closing this conversation, since I've been listening to you, I'll say one thing." Jessica straightened her back, she was ready to stand up from there after making her final speech.

"I'm a pretty professional person when it comes to work, what happens outside is just going to be outside. If at any time, I find you asking me to discuss matters not related to your work at all, or when you glare at me with hatred..., I'd be happy to give you a chance to work somewhere else, okay?"

Jessica waited for Angela to respond. He stood there, watching Angela with a pair of calm emerald eyes.

Swallowing a tantrum, Angela nodded slowly. "I understand."

Elixir is like a child to Jessica. Although the world is collapsing out there, Jessica only hopes that Elixir will be where she lives for the last time. Jessica doesn't care about anything else.

Therefore, compared to the triangle romance that occurred between Jake-Angela-Demian, Jessica will be very happy if the problem is not dragged into the cafe.

"Romansa is just sweet at the beginning," Jessica sighed. She mourns the sinking of the cute and adorable romantic romance that happened to Angela. Now the ship contains only drama and nestapa.

"Now I remember the reason why I never got involved in love."

Ethan chuckles, "Don't look for justification for other people's problems."

"I'm not looking for justification, just looking at examples."

"Do you think it's fair for the man who wants to approach you but you refuse because according to the research and examples you make, romance is just sweet at the beginning?"

Jessica looked at Ethan while chewing on a strawberry. "It's not fair, it's not a problem. Protecting yourself is a priority."

"I agree and disagree," the voice sounded from behind. Jessica looked over and found Oscar coming.

A black bag was placed on the counter, Jessica looked at the bag and felt somewhat familiar.

"If one day you fall in love with someone, but because of your mindset, you refrain from approaching that person. Didn't you end up hurting yourself?" Oscar continued the topic of Jessica earlier.

"I guess..., maybe?"

"For people who are in love, every experience will be different..." Oscar then hints at a black coffee to Ethan.

"You who set their failures as an example, will not be fair to those who succeed. Don't you think that's short-sighted enough?"

"That's..."

"Sakmat," Ethan said, his words were addressed to Jessica who was stunned and difficult to fill Oscar's speech.

Ethan hands Oscar a cup of coffee. Ethan smiled cheerfully. "It's nice to have a thoughtful guest."

"I just want to chat," Oscar smiled. "I don't mean to beat or argue anyone. Also, sorry to interrupt."

"No, no problem." Jessica shook her hands. "I'm glad you came."

"I have a lot of work lately, taking care of one subordinate prodigi is very time-consuming and cost-effective."

"Well, is that another writer?" To Jessica's knowledge, Oscar was just a journalist writing about Vegas.

"That's how it is" Oscar gave a faint smile. "Anyway, you guys talked about romance before, was there someone who fell in love? Jessica, maybe?"

"E-eh, me?" Jessica widened her eyes, laughter bloomed instantly. "Ei, no, no. Impossible."

"Why impossible? You seem to be only a few years younger than me, people my age are mostly married. You too.., do not rule out the possibility of experiencing the same thing."

"No.., I mean, to fall in love, a man must be there first, right?"

Oscar looked at Ethan, questioning the seriousness of Jessica's speech. Ethan answers Oscar's puzzled look with a shoulder end.

"Did no man interest you?" Oscar then teases Jessica. "I think Ethan's pretty handsome."

"E-Ethan case is different," Jessica flicked her hands while laughing blandly. "Ethan was like my brother, Elli, too."

"Maybe the first problem Jesse needs to go through first is to open his heart" Ethan added. "I think he has enough men sending love signals towards him. He just closed his eyes too."

"Ooooh, that makes more sense" Oscar said. Because, if the problem is the zero existence of a man, then it makes no sense. Jessica-in Oscar's eyes, pretty eye-catching. His appearance is also the ideal type of man who is aiming for a normal relationship.

There was no way that a man would approach her.

Also, did he turn a blind eye regarding the whereabouts of Demian and Jake orbiting around him?

"Don't make up your own theory" Jessica refutes Ethan with a ringing. "Now is not my time, is it? You know.., fate is needed, too."

"Yes, I guess..." Oscar nodded at Jessica.

Oscar could have said a few words to refute Jessica's words. However, Oscar held back. He wanted Jessica's self-defense wall to remain high, it would be a difficult obstacle for Demian.

Something troubling Demian would be a fun spectacle.

"Again" said Oscar later. "Love is not something we can force."

As Oscar sipped his coffee quietly, Jessica came back. He thought about Oscar's words and how love varies with the person who lives it.

Jessica asked, if when love happens to her she will live a different story?

Those words were too sweet in the ears. Jessica was afraid of the reality that would slap her with the same case.

Love, huh...?

Why do they think about love? Who will he love, really?
