LOVER MONSTER!

LOVER MONSTER!
63. Demian's girlfriend?

A plate of waffles with strawberry syrup spills on it was presented in front of Jessica. It was his breakfast this morning. Elliot-the guy who serves it to Jessica-stands beside Jessica while enjoying a cup of coffee Ethan serves.

While Jessica ate her favorite breakfast happily, Elliot recalled his meeting with Demian some time ago.

Of course, as a friend, Elliot knew there were some things that were not his territory to interfere with. The things Jessica decided to keep secret, the things about Demian, if Jessica didn't want to tell the truth, weren't Elliot's place to force her best friend to talk.

Yet...

There is always however...

Elliot is worried about Jessica. Elliot is afraid Jessica will get herself into trouble if she keeps hanging out with guys like Demian.

Elixir coffee customers may look relaxed and cover up their rot with a handsome face, but for Elliot who has grown up with a lot of delinquents, he said, Elliot knew that something was wrong with the curly.

Demian Bellamy, the man exuded a demonic aura.

"Hmmm.., a very unique place..," a voice interrupted Elliot's thinking.

The 30-year-old chef turned to the source of the voice and found a man with a strange, familiar, but unfamiliar face.

The man stared around Elixir, scanning every corner of the floor to the ceiling.

His fairly thick and warm appearance made Elliot frown in wonder. Elliot's point in 'thick and warm' here is the oversized light blue sweater that the man is wearing, plus his long white jeans.

He looks soft like a blueberry macaron on a white porcelain plate. He's not in his place, not in his season.

"Did winter come early this year?" Elliot, unable to hold his head, spoke to Jessica. Apparently, Jessica also scanned the new guest.

"Hush!" Jessica pats Elliot's hand. It's rude, Jessica thought.

The new guest at Elixir sauntered towards the bar table. He throws a glance at Jessica and Elliot for a moment. His pair of dark netars showed no interest, but there was no bad impression in his gaze either. He just doesn't care.

"Welcome to our cafe" Ethan said hello. "This is the first time I've seen you here."

Maybe the tourist, is what Ethan thinks. After all, this is Las Vegas. People from all over the city go in and out every day.

"Mm" the guest nodded. "It's the first time, indeed."

"I hope you're enjoying your first moment here."

While Ethan talks to the new visitor, Jessica, who is three seats away from the visitor, watches him closely.

Something familiar about the blue-sweater man made Jessica confused, she had difficulty lowering her gaze. No, this was not because the man was handsome (if that factor could enter the calculation). The reason Jessica observed the visitor was because of her very physical appearance.., familiar?

"Liking what you're looking at?" The man turned his head towards Jessica and blatantly questioned her.

Spontaneously alone, Jessica felt a heat creep on her face. Shame was pouring over him. He was caught red-handed.

"I-I'm sorry, I-I've been disrespectful."

Damn it, maki Jessica. Why did he become like this? Just because that guy looks like Demian. He looks like Demian!

"No problem, I'm used to being stared at like that."

What does it mean that he is used to being the center of attention? Is he an artist or just a narcissist?

"If you're curious" the man continued to speak. "I dress like this because of my low immune system. I'm easily sick."

"Huh?"

"You're looking at me because of how I look, aren't you?"

Oh, eh?!

Jessica's guess was wrong. The man didn't mean to be narcissistic or narcissistic. She-what does she mean she's used to being the center of attention in a negative sense? Jessica's conscience is sinful.

"What did you say? I'm not staring at you for that."

Although Jessica was initially surprised, but she did not think about the appearance of the man prolonged. If it wasn't for the man who looked like Demian, Jessica probably wouldn't have looked at the man like an antique pot in a museum.

"I'm sorry once again, yeah. I've created a misunderstanding. I just feel like you're pretty familiar. I didn't mean anything else."

"Although there are other intentions it doesn't matter either. I've been used to getting slanted gazes from new people I meet."

"That's obviously a problem. You look normal, you deserve to wear whatever makes you feel safe and comfortable, it's not my place or anyone in the world to look at you on your side." Jessica was wise there. Elliot who was behind her laughed.

"I'm sorry about him" Elliot added. "She's serious about looking at you because you're familiar. There is no more meaning."

"E-uh?" Is he serious?

"Huahahaha, I'm kidding. How could a weak man like me be able to do that."

Jessica gulped.

Damn, his smile was also very similar to Demian's. Where did this creature come from?

"By the way, am I that similar to the person you're referring to? I was wondering, you guys end up looking at me like you see a ghost."

"Very similar" Elliot said, "Only, the person we mean is tan skinned and has thicker eyebrows than you."

"Aaaaah, is this your girlfriend?" the guest-Erthian Bellamy-directed the question to Jessica.

"Pa-boyfriend? No, no..."

Jessica wants to make Demian her boyfriend. However, that hope was still too far out of hand range. Jessica did not feel her attempt at making Demian shaken would soon succeed. Jessica was not confident that her efforts alone were enough to melt the man's heart. Demian, he's too far.

"Your coffee" Ethan interrupted the awward conversation by putting a cup of black coffee without sugar on the table. Erthian's ordered coffee was a bit similar to Demian's, but Demian always added sugar to his glass.

"Sorry for disturbing your morning by listening to our nonsense. I feel guilty." It is very unprofessional for Jessica to invite her customers to talk. He who comes here alone can be interpreted as his unwillingness to interact with others.

"Don't feel guilty. I'm happy that you're going to be with me chatting here. I, in fact, was waiting for my brother's arrival. We promised we'd meet here today."

"Ah, is that it, right? Ahahaha.." - uh..." Although the disturbance was considered no problem, Jessica still felt her actions were very inappropriate and unethical.

He's lucky because now his interlocutor is a good-natured guy, but when he's unlucky? He might end up eating his own eyeballs.

"Just once again, I'm sorry."

"M." Erthian nodded.

She had already felt enough to hear Jessica's endless series of apologies.

'If he knew he would regret it, he shouldn't have bothered me in the first place! If this were in Italy, you wouldn't have survived at all.' Erthian sat up with a smile that was imprinted kindly - contrary to the contents of his head now.

"You must be uncomfortable" Ethan, who was across the table, spoke.

Damn, why is everyone talking to him?

"It doesn't mean I'm asking you to compromise, but our boss is a bad person. Haha. He's always apologizing over and over again if he's made a mistake."

"Ethan, don't expose my disgrace carelessly."

"Boss?" Erthian looked at Jessica. The girl laughed again.

"Mm, that's it."

A woman who thinks she's familiar, and the owner of this cafe...

The flash of Oscar's speech this morning again flashed in Erthian's mind. Like a warning alarm.

"If you want to know what your sister used to do this early in the morning, she used to stop by a cafe called Elixir on Almond street. His girlfriend works there."

Is she Demian's girlfriend? Erthian's interest was roaring.

"It's a very impressive place," the slight intonation in Erthian's voice changed implying hospitality. "By the way, I'm Erthian. I just came from Italy yesterday, so I'm pretty clumsy at talking."

Due to the language difference between Italy and America, Las Vegas to be exact, Erthian deliberately used it to cover up his previous unfriendly attitude. Even if it's just an excuse.

"Eh, but you sound very eloquent, really."

"That's it, huh? I think my training paid off. Merely, my confidence sometimes shrinks. Ahahaha."

"Oh, no problem at all. In fact, it's natural. Even if you're in trouble, you can speak your mother's language. We'll do our best to understand."

"Yes, especially now that everything has been found the solution by the internet." Ethan agrees.

At that moment, their conversation began to develop. Starting from discussing translator applications, technological advances, coffee tastes and various other things that make their conversation difficult to stop.

Elliot, who is not very friendly to new people, moves into his post, leaving Jessica and Ethan to be friendly to the new guest who, strangely enough, seems so ambiguous.

Elliot felt like the man was a fake.
