96. Mysterious Missions.

As a person who has been given special responsibility by Christian Bellamy to take care of Erthian and ensure that the eldest Bellamy was carrying out his mission perfectly, Carlos felt he would lose his head once he landed in Sorrento. After all, the Erthian he was protecting, did not indicate that he would be doing his duty now.

Erthian had extended his stay in Vegas for a week, but three days had passed, and Erthian had done nothing. He just skidded around in his hotel room, sleeping and eating as he pleased.

Erthian did not think at all of the almost insane Carlos next to him. The fear of being cut down by Christian had mastered the mind of the tall bodyguard.

Erthian wasn't really going to wait for Demian Bellamy to drag his own ass to Sorrento, was he? Even if the apocalypse happened today, that ideal situation would not happen.

Carlos believed he had to do something, no, rather say something to Erthian. Carlos was afraid that if Erthian was too relaxed, Erthian would end up getting his entire bodyguard killed. Carlos didn't want to die in vain just because his boss forgot what his duty was here!

"I know what you're worried about, Carl. Even without you talking, just listening to your breath, I can already read your head." Erthian chimed in Carlos' anxiety so.

'If you knew, you should have done something!' Carlos is struggling.

"I'll only move when the time is right." Erthian gave another response. "Now, Demian has become so overprotective of Jessica. They probably spent 24 hours together."

"Then, we'll end up extending our sedentary time, won't we?"

Christian will not be happy with the information. Releasing Erthian for almost a month in Vegas alone had made the entire mansion waver, the situation would only worsen if Erhian did not return home.

"I'm not that interested in this place. Take it easy, before my stay ends, I'll do something." In another sense, in these remaining four days, there would be a time when Erthian was carrying out his mission. That is, getting Demian to come with him to Sorrento.

"For a while, what about the place I asked for?"

"That place is very safe, boss. Even Oscar Brown has nothing to do with that place."

"That's great..," To build a fort, they need solid ground to stand. They could not build a fortress on the opponent's land, they would only end up being defeated from an unexpected angle.

"Ah.." while Carlos was pondering and admiring the existence of Demian Bellamy, Erthian received a phone call from an unexpected person. Her phone shook and revealed Angela's name there.

"It's beyond hope" Erthian said. He responded to Angela's call. They talked for a while there. After the call ended as well, Erthian turned around and looked at Carlos in the face. The firstborn's thin grin was a joke.

"Now, Carlos, you can breathe a sigh of relief now."

"Eh, y-yeah?"

"I've got less puzzle pieces on our game board now."

Hearing Erthian's words, Carlos' smile instantly flashed brilliantly. His ever-stretched shoulders, slumped full of relief.

With Erthian's words, it meant that they could already launch their mission now. They can already get Demian Bellamy home.

Although he would do the dirty work for this mission, Carlos felt it was better than he had to keep quiet. Carlos felt so satisfied when he turned his back on Erthian. He needs to observe all his preparations now. He needs to make every aspect of his mission go perfectly.

Jessica thought it was Adam Demian meant, so Jessica didn't think much of it. Jessica doesn't know if the person Demian now meets is Oscar Brown.

Demian-as Oscar had predicted-will meet Oscar for help. Demian knows he can't beat Erthian alone, so Demian needs Oscar as his backing. After hearing Adam's story the other day, Demian realizes that Oscar is not on Erthian's side at all.

"You're both threatened now, how about you work together like you used to?" it was Adam's speech that day, and Demian - despite his mountain-high ego - agreed to what Adam said.

So, here's Demian now. In a casino that has not been visited for weeks Demian. In Bronze.

"Look who's coming..." In a proud voice, Oscar greeted Demian who sauntered over to him. Demian showed no hospitality at all on his face. Instead, it only shows obvious disgust.

Demian doesn't like dealing with Oscar. Not after the man stabbed behind him.

"I need your help," Demian's words came out without a burden. He sat on the sofa as usual, his legs crossed arrogantly and his eyes stared at Oscar ruthlessly.

"If you need my help, you should be more friendly than that."

"I didn't kill you right now is my form of hospitality."

"Why do you want to kill me?" Oscar was a bit offended. "I didn't do anything."

The problem was, in Demian's eyes, Oscar had already done too much. Because of the man who acted as he pleased and leaked information here and there, Demian and Jessica's relationship fell apart. Demian was already at his last chance now. Demian believes that if he breaks Jessica's heart once more, he will be completely left behind.

"What do you want?" ask Oscar then. Stirring the martini in his hand with his little finger, Oscar looked up at Demian.

"I want you to protect Jessica" Demian said. His response and voice imply earnestness. "I feel like Erthian is about to do something to me. I thought, if it happens to just me, then it doesn't matter. But if it involves Jessica, I'm not sure I can survive without killing her."

"You can't kill Erthian at all" Oscar said. "If you don't want to lead your family, you better not kill the only person who can take your place."

"I know that.., that's why..." Demian needs strict protection for Jessica. Demian doesn't want Jessica to go around, Demian doesn't want to get out of control and kill his own brother.

"I've ordered Adam's men to patrol near Elixir, there shouldn't be any problem if you can also be by Jessica's side completely. We only need four days, Erthian will be home in four days. After that, you can breathe a sigh of relief and think of a way to really prevent it from coming back."

Demian nodded. "I'll talk to Christian Bellamy."

If Demian succeeds in driving Erthian out of Las Vegas, then all that remains is Christian. Demian believes Bellamy's leader will come to pick him up himself. Only when the man came was Demian able to conduct his negotiations here.

"Are you really not interested in going back to Bellamy for a second, Demian?" The choice was much easier, actually. Demian also had no need to worry about Jessica's safety. But.., no. Demian did not want to go back to that hell again.

When she is at Bellamy and leaves Jessica alone, Demian does not believe Jessica will be safe. Even if Jessica was accompanied by Oscar. Demian wasn't sure her Jessica would be okay.

After all, they just got back together. Demian did not want to leave Jessica. Demian just wants to live with Jessica, keeping the girl within reach of her hand.

"I don't intend to go back there anymore" Demian said. Oscar listened while giving a nod.

"I will try to protect Jessica" Oscar said that day.

Not knowing that a few days after his meeting with Demian, he got news from Adam that Jessica had disappeared. Jessica Cerise, without any clue, had disappeared without a trace.
