LOVER MONSTER!

LOVER MONSTER!
27. Meet up.

Oscar Brown is not a man who would nod his head and say 'Yes, all right!' when you give him a warning.

Oscar Brown is a man who walks in the shoes of contradiction. He enjoys doing the opposite, testing his patience, and playing with bets.

When Demian warns her to stay away from Jessica Cerise - a woman with a black record in her background, Oscar does not immediately comply with her partner's wishes. There, Oscar even grew interest there.

No, the interest that Oscar felt was not about Jessica and her performance, by the way, quite unsightly. No, oh. not at all. The thing that attracted Oscar was Demian.

Oscar was curious, was the arrogant man who always stood opposite to him at the betting table that would show a distorted expression when he played around with Jessica?

Will there be another expression on his haughty face? A possible wrath? Of jealousy? That must be so much fun.

With the rotten initiative playing in his head, Oscar slid off Bronze on a sunny Monday morning and stopped by Elixir. Oscar wanted to test his luck.

"Welcome to Elixir" a sweet greeting from the blonde-bloomed woman greeted the ears. Oscar looked over and developed a friendly smile.

"Have you made a reservation, sir?"

"Ah, no." While exchanging words with the woman greeting him, Oscar notices the rest of Elixir and finds Jessica Cerise behind the bar table, helping her baristas who are busy processing orders. "I'll just sit at the bar."

"Alright, then." the blonde-Dania, pulled a step back from the Oscars. He invited his guests in.

Mornings in Elixir, especially Monday mornings, are quite crowded by visitors. Most who come are guests who want to do business meetings while enjoying a cup of coffee. They book the tables well in advance and a certain menu for their meetings.

Of course, there will be three or four guests like Oscar who come just to stop for a while. Such people would usually sit at a bar or do a takeaway.

When Elixir is crowded, Jessica will intervene to help Ethan behind the bar table. His experience as a coffee barista as a teenager will be very useful there.

"Welcome to Elixir" said Jessica.

Oscar pulls an empty bench face to face with Jessica.

"Good morning" welcome Oscar back.

"It's the first time I've seen you drop by here" Jessica said.

"Eh.., but this is the third time I've stopped by..."

Jessica's eyes were all stunned, as if saying 'Lies, huh?'. It was impossible for Jessica not to remember the handsome face, the milky-white skin, and the cute dimples.

"I'm serious..," said Oscar again. "Could it be that because of my market face, you don't remember me? Ahahaha."

Pa-market? The face of that man's magazine model? Prince of the Barbie land? The market? Kidding, right?

"You're too low, sir." Jessica shook her hands. "Then I don't remember a man like you, it means I'm blind. Isn't that right, Ethan?" Jessica then nudges Ethan who is busy stirring coffee in his glass.

"But he's been here a few times" Ethan said. "You're the one who doesn't pay attention."

"Eh?" EEEEHHHHH???? SERIOUSLY???

"As I've said," said Oscar, his smile blooming merrily.

"A-ah, I must be blind. Haha. I'm sorry." Jessica couldn't believe she had missed the young man from before her? Wh why? What happened to the soul of his handsome boy enthusiast?

"You don't have to apologize, it's not a mistake at all."

But Jessica felt like she had treated that handsome face unfairly. Uhuhuhuhu, the man's babyface face was adorable. Where'd he come from?

"U-ummm, so..., is there a special menu you want to try, sir?" Jessica became misbehaved as the pair of blue irises shone in the shade.

He's a man from a fairy tale, Jessica is so sure. Who wants to oppose it, please talk to the wall!

"Do you have any recommendations for this new guest?" Oscar asked back.

"Our Ca-Caribbean coffee is quite popular these days."

"What about you, if you're told to choose, what kind of coffee would you choose?"

"I like my coffee black, simple."

Oscar nodded his head while holding back his smile so as not to overflow. At that time, Oscar remembered the frequent coffee Demian messages. Black coffee. They both share something in common.

"Then, I'll order what you just mentioned..."

"Ah, alright.., then..." Jessica doubts. Jessica's choice was actually very ordinary, she was afraid that she would disappoint the cute man in front of her.

"By the way" Oscar said. "You don't have to call me sir."

"Hmm?" Both Jessica and Ethan, turned towards Oscar. Question marks hanging over the head.

"I'm Oscar Brown, you can greet me Oscar."

"O-Oscar Brown?"

THAT OSCAR BROWN????

Seriously, this guy with babyface is..., Oscar Brown?

*

Jessica entered her room with a spoiled dance. He circled around, waving his thick hair left and right, eyes full of happiness. His mouth hummed merrily - as if spring was coming.

Jessica-with happiness that is twofold, headed for the mini calendar that sits on her kitchen granite countertop. A red marker was on Jessica's left hand. With a smile that had not worn off from her face anyway, Jessica marked the 23-day date, with a heart shape.

Today is a special day, it's amazing. Today is the day Jessica meets her superhero Oscar Brown. Not only did the man praise his efforts at the famous site in Vegas, Oscar also came straight to see him.

For Jessica, who has pioneered her career from scratch, the appreciation the Oscars give her is as valuable as the gold medals earned by sports athletes. Jessica-once again, feeling very blessed.

"Not only does he have interesting writing and reviews, his face too...Aaaaaa...." Jessica felt an overwhelming sense of anxiety as she recalled Oscar's face. That guy's a hundred percent, really cool.

What the fuck? Why do handsome men orbit around it as if it were the center of gravity? Is it the sun? Eeeeei, that's ridiculous.

Jessica then sauntered to the bed and stretched her back there. He stared at the ceiling of the room while recalling his interaction with Oscar this morning.

He's very professional.

A man like Oscar is so charming. Not only did he have refreshing good looks, he also had the charisma and courtesy of a gentleman, like men from a fairyland.

Ah, if Demian had a drop of Oscar charisma, he would have been the perfect bad boy. Bad boy is a romance novel that curses the world with his sharp gaze, but softly melts under the feet of the woman he loves.

That.., impossible anyway.

Jessica exhaled.

"I'd rather Demian break the legs of the person he loves, than love a woman with gentleness." Jessica talked to herself.

"That son of a bitch, he must have felt above the clouds because he could already date Angela. He comes here only as he pleases."

Jessica got back up from her position. He sat down and stared at the pink parfume that lay on his nightstand. "Look at it later, Demian. I'm gonna change my door lock. I'm gonna make sure a bastard like you doesn't shake my heart. Haha." - Haha."

"..."

"Hahaaha"

Haha.

Ha!

Jessica rubbed her face. All happiness after meeting Oscar, drowned when he remembered Demian's actions. How dare the man tease her, blurring her wits with the intimation that makes Jessica hot coldly agitated, when in reality, the man is deeply knee-jerk to Angela.

How could he treat Angela like that? Even though he's a bad boy, he should treat the woman he loves with special.

'Toying with me and hoping Angela accepts it sincerely, does she think she can be as good as she can be!'

Jessica won't let herself play Demian anymore. Even if the man came here, Jessica swore she would create clearer boundaries between their closeness. No, if I could, Jessica would throw him out.

"I'm gonna kick you out of my balcony!" Jessica. He grabbed the bottle of parfume Demian gave him and threw it into the bottom drawer of his nightstand. To the drawer where the unused items are located.

"Blacklist!"

Drrrttt.., drrrrr!

Amidst Jessica's raging flames of anger, a tremor from the sofa table caught Jessica's attention. He jumped out of bed and headed towards the sofa. Jessica secured her seat on the yellow sofa before reading the name of the caller who contacted her.

Jake Allendale's.

"Oho..., what do you want now?" Jessica-after reading Jake's name there, instantly answers a phone call from the man. "Hello?"

"Hello, Jessica. How are you?" Jake greeted him like a dialogue template in an English textbook.

"I'm good" Jessica said. "What about you? You haven't called me lately, I think you've been getting drunk in one of the club bathrooms tonight."

"Are you mocking me now?"

Jessica nodded, though she knew Jake wouldn't see her. "I'm worried, that's all. Haha. I'm sorry, I'm not serious. But you're really okay, right?"

"Mm, I feel pretty good. I haven't called you lately because I have a job piling up at the office. I caught up to my catch up because I had the best of heart to take a week off."

"Well, you're lucky you didn't get fired." Jessica laughs.

Jake laughed at Jessica. "Painted, huh? That's a funny phrase."

"Hmm, meaning?"

"No, there's no. I only think of you now...., as a friend, do you have free time to accompany me to celebrate my freedom from the heaping work?"

Jessica weighed in for a moment. He needs to choose the right day. "I guess..., doesn't it matter?"

"Why?"

"I mean." it's weird for Jessica to have to go with Jake. Jake has repeatedly said he wants to be friends, and Jessica has repeatedly agreed to the man's request.

Jessica, to be honest, hasn't gotten used to being around Jake. The man was too riveting to be around potatoes like him.

"Are you busy?" jake's voice sounded a little disappointed.

Damn, again...

"Where possible," Jessica denied quickly. "Forget what I said. Let's meet on Friday."

"Okay, I'm glad to hear it."

"I'm glad you sound good. Don't forget to take care of your health, okay? I'll check on you Friday. If I find you moody, marsupial and with no interest in life, I'll take you to the therapist directly."

"What's up with that?" Jake chuckles. Jessica could imagine the man's smile blooming beautifully. Haaah, what a pity!

'Why are you dumping gold like Jake Allendale, Angela? Is a bad boy your real ideal type?'

Jessica exhaled as she thought about Jake Allendale's situation back. How the man was after the heartbreak...

"Can't I be your friend if I don't have a problem I can't solve on my own, Jessica?" Jake asked back.

"Yes.., but, isn't the reason you want to be friends with me because you need me to be your listener?"

"That's.., indeed."

"You don't have to admit it in a tone as if it were sinful. That's not the wrong thing, though. If I need something from you, I will do the same. So just relax."

Jessica lifted her foot in the air, looking at the tips of her toes that were starting to lengthen and needed treatment. "Then I'll see you Friday night."

"Ok, then.., see you later."

"Mm, later."
