"What are the four of you doing?" ask Demian.
Since then, when Demian spoke to Angela with four eyes, Demian's concentration was broken by another existence hiding behind a wall. Demian realized that during her and Angela's conversation, Jessica and her friends had eavesdropped.
"What are we doing? We didn't do anything." When caught off guard, the first person to act was Dania.
"Jesse?" demian asked again, this time while looking at Jessica's reddened face. He must be feeling guilty.
"I didn't do anything. I was just following Dania." Jessica replied, she threw the blame on her best friend.
After all, the ones who had invited him to eavesdrop were Dania and Elliot. Jessica just...., get carried away?
Demian then glanced at Elliot and Ethan.
To be honest, Demian did not expect that Ethan would be involved in the mischief of his friends. Ethan - to the knowledge of Demian - is unlike Elliot who tends to be impulsive.
"I think you guys have seen and witnessed clearly what has happened." Demian sighed. "I don't have to explain my situation anymore."
"Well, we're not going to ask you about your situation, but..., we obviously need to question your female tastes before this, right?"
"Dani..." Jessica stopped Dania from pumping Demian for longer. "Let's go back to the cafe."
"I agree with Jesse" said Ethan. Ethan begins to worry about his empty post. "Elli, you too."
"Tsk.., undercook."
Elliot-alongside Dania-strolled first in the front row. The two of them did not seem satisfied to corner Demian. Of course, even though they have spent time together lately by making peace and making friends, the two have not been able to let go of their bad habits in treating Demian like an enemy.
Mocking Demian and pumping her man was more normal for Elliot and Dania than caring for her.
Only Ethan understands Demian's situation and accepts the man's status as part of their group now. Only Ethan gives Demian pure hospitality without compulsion.
"Are you okay?" Jessica, as the figure left behind by her friends, turned to Demian who had not stepped up. Demian leaned against the wall, eyes glaring at Jessica with an indecipherable meaning.
"I'm good."
"You sure you're not sad?" Jessica is a bit of a quip. "If you want to cry, you can borrow my shoulder."
"Why do you think I'm gonna cry?"
Jessica pulled a shoulder. "You just lost the woman you always say 'Different'. You may not be willing to let go?"
"Oh, so because of that?"
"Yup."
Demian chuckles. "I smell jealousy here."
"My jealous head," Jessica paled. "You better not misinterpret my anxiety, Demian."
"alright, mam. I believe you're not jealous." Demian embraced Jessica's shoulder and gave a brief peck on her cheek.
"I'm not jealous!" Jessica stressed. Because somehow, Jessica felt Demian did not believe her.
It sucks! Why should Jessica be jealous of Angela? Who is that woman, really? Jessica is not jealous! Where possible! Impossible!
"Yeah..."
While the contents of Jessica's head were filled with denial and self-defense, Demian leaned his chin on Jessica's shoulders. His expression was a little pined. "It feels like time is turning back when I'm with you."
"What does that mean?"
"You know..." Demian took a breath. "Before this, I lived a static life. I've been friends with Angela for a few years, and even though I liked her, our relationship never changed
I'm still the same, I mean, in the years that have passed, I'm still the same. I still fight here and there, I gamble occasionally. I'm still a fugitive of my family."
"..."
"However, after I met you, it felt like time was spinning so fast." Demian was kind of funny when he remembered so many things that had happened in his life in recent times.
"My relationship with Angela ended just like that, Erthian suddenly came from Italy, a problem that used to come to me every once in a while, now coming in a row."
"You don't intend to call me the unlucky carrier, do you?" Jessica squinted at Demian's negative-sounding words in her ears.
"I didn't mean it.." Demian laughed spontaneously. "I just feel, it's the first time I've been overwhelmed. I feel like time is running and I feel like I'm changing in time."
"Oh, oh..." Jessica rubbed Demian's curly mane still on her shoulder. "Although my influence sounds like bad luck, I'm glad I've given you a change."
Demian clenched Jessica tighter in her chest, feeling the comfort created when she grabbed the body in her arms. "It feels like being unlucky with you doesn't matter."
Jessica laughed at Demian. "That's gonna be a problem for me. Don't talk so much!"
"What kind of life do you want, Jessica?"
Jessica loosened her embrace from Demian and looked at the man right at her pair of dark beads. "I want peace, Demian. Therefore, I hope you can solve your problems with Erthian and we can be a couple comfortably."
Nodding lightly, Demian then gave Jessica a kiss on the forehead. "I will do it" he said.
From now on, Jessica's wish is her wish.

On the same day, Demian's meeting didn't stop at Angela's. As the afternoon approached, Demian left Elixir to meet Adam.
Demian's departure was accompanied by Elliot's mockery that seemed to feign astonishment. He uttered the words 'I thought you had no other life than here' while sneering in a puff. Demian responds to Elliot's taunts with remarks that bore Elliot. 'Don't miss me, Elliot. I won't be long!'.
"Aren't you tired of asking Demian to fight?" Jessica talked to Elliot. He was in the kitchen, helping Elliot process the dessert.
"I don't like it, Jesse. I mean..., are you seriously trying to make that guy your girlfriend?"
"Well, I don't need to reconfirm my decision, do I? If I wasn't serious, Demian couldn't possibly roam around freely here. Besides, what's wrong with Demy until you don't like her?"
Elliot sniffed his shoulders.
"I just feel like you deserve better, so. He doesn't even have a job. He has no definite direction in life. People like that just enjoy today, they have no thoughts at all about tomorrow. He's so different from you."
Hearing Elliot's response, Jessica gave a light nod. He understood Elliot's point. Isn't Demian's life instability the reason she was rejected by Angela earlier? Jessica already understood, if in the eyes of normal people like Elliot, Demian's lifestyle that deviates from norms-impressed wrong.
It's just...
"I don't expect my partner to be my reflection, Ell. Because my life has been so stable lately, I want Demian to be a tornado-like figure, right? I like him because he's not stable at all. Hehehe."
Elliot sighed. "You're underestimating your situation."
"I just don't want to over-think my situation." Jessica plucked a slice of strawberry at the table and chewed it slow, her eyes glaring into the distance. "I feel like I just want to do what I can. I don't want to be depressed because I'm stuck in my own mind."
Elliot's smile bloomed with a wither. "I always expect the best from you, Jesse. You have every right to do whatever you like, but I hope you don't put much pressure on me to accept Demian with open arms."
"Where might I force you to do that." Jessica chuckles.
Jessica-however-understanding Elliot and his anxieties. Jessica will not immediately force Elliot to think in line with her just because he loves Demian now.
Jessica still does not know if her choice is the path to truth, Jessica still does not know the future so far.
For now, Jessica just wants to live her relationship with Demian without any over-thinking, no pressure.
Jessica only decides to believe in Demian, that one day Demian will be able to prove himself to Elliot that he is really good.

Demian returns after Elixir closes.
He steps in through Jessica's balcony window and finds no girl anywhere. Thinking that Jessica was still struggling downstairs, Demian finally went down.
As Demian guessed, Jessica was still in the cafe, alone with some lights turned off.
"What are you doing here alone?" Demian greeted Jessica who was standing alone in the kitchen. Left and right of her hands were wrapped in plastic gloves, the flour stained the gloves.
"With experimenting" said Jessica. "Just home?"
"so. What kind of experiment is this?" Demian became interested. He joined Jessica near the table and watched as the girl stirred the dough in a glass bowl.
"I want to make bread using a recipe I found on the internet earlier." Jessica smiled and then spread thin. "But I'm not sure I did well."
"Don't hesitate first" Demian said. "Just finish it first."
While watching Jessica stir the dough, Demian played with the black mane end of Jessica who was tied carelessly.
The girl looked beautiful no matter how messy her condition was. A pair of emerald irises that focus also adds to the beauty of the face. She is so beautiful when serious. Really am!
The pink apron encompassing his body also created a cute impression. She's like a woman who's only 20, not 29. She's so adorable.
Demian felt a sense of peace just by looking at Jessica. Demian believes he can look at Jessica all day without getting bored.
"What are you thinking?" Jessica decided to make a sound, Demian's silence made her wonder.
"I only think of you" Demian said. His finger then moved to hold the apron strap on Jessica's shoulder. "I thought you'd look really charming when you put on an apron."
"Your eyes have a chronic disease."
"I'm serious," Demian's lips pursed. "I think it would be more enchanting if you just stood here with nothing but this apron."
"I saw your perverted brain start working fine, huh?" Jessica flicked the flour to Demian's face. "I'm sorry I asked you to talk."
"I think you want me to be honest." Demian then chuckled.
"I want you to be honest" Jessica said. "Only, on some occasions, I don't feel I can hear your honesty. Especially when it comes to your lethargy!"
Demian responded to Jessica's remark with a crisp laugh blooming on her face. He enjoyed the sight of Jessica's blushing face.
Avoiding Demian's temptation, Jessica then put her focus on the bread dough. He paced back and forth in the kitchen, trying as hard as he could to ignore Demian's demonic grin.
Jessica headed to the oven and put the bread dough neatly arranged in the baking sheet. After setting the oven, Jessica turned her body to face Demian. His eyes are sharp.
"What are you doing?" Cetus Jessica, his tone of voice accused Demian of being a suspect.
"What am I doing?" Demian from earlier was just perched on the table. Only her eyes were following Jessica's movements closely.
"You're looking at me from earlier."
"I was looking at you, what's wrong? I was just watching my girlfriend work."
Jessica throbbing. "The wrong way is the way you look at me. That's not fun. You're like those perverted grandparents who used to lurk women in the car."
"Have you ever seen such perverted grandfathers on the train?"
"I was one of the victims of their disgusting delicacy, just so you know."
"Huh?" Demian's eyebrows shot up next to. The thought of the other men staring at her Jessica with lust provoked Demian's anger.
"Do you remember his face?" Demian's question made Jessica frown in wonder.
"What?"
"If you remember, take me in front of them. Let me gouge their eyes out and make them eat their own eyeballs."
"Waaaaah, what's that slogan at Bellamy?" Jessica recalled Erthian's words in their first interaction.
"Why suddenly discuss my family's slogan?"
Demian did not understand Jessica's drastic change of topic. Of course, Bellamy has a slogan and a principle, but prying people's eyes for food is not their slogan at all.
"Finally, Erthian once gave me a similar threat."
"Erthians? He threatened you?" That bastard's sickness!!! Was he so impatient to sleep in the coffin?
Jessica approached Demian more closely, "You guys might be hostile, but I guess.., you guys are kind of similar, aren't you?"
From his iconic mane, his dark irises, the look on his face.., Demian and Erthian were almost similar. It is only the difference in skin color that makes their difference noticeable. Erthian was too pale while Demian was tan-skinned.
"We are not similar at all" Demian said. He pulled Jessica in front of him, tightly between his open legs. "You should have praised me as superior and better than him."
"Kurasaaa..., without being praised you're already superior, right?"
"You think so?" Demian became a big head.
"You're better than Erthian, Demian. I'm being honest now." As she spoke, Jessica linked her fingers behind Demian's nape. The chest of the man's field he used fully as a backrest. Their warm bodies blend in indoors that smells like food.
Demian's grin faded in nervousness. He is afraid of something waking up and erupting in their close proximity. Demian still felt disinclined to do something intimate to Jessica. Demian did not want Jessica to misinterpret her love.
"I'm sorry..." Jessica pulled herself first from Demian, her grin expanding tastelessly. "I'm just kidding, sorry for making you uncomfortable."
"Huh?"
"I know you have a lot of mind burden" Jessica said. It scrambled Demian's curl mane with gentleness. "I just wanted to take you on because you've been serious lately."
"I...," what burden of thought?
"Take as much time as you want." said Jessica. "I don't have a problem at all."
"Wait..., I don't understand at all?"
"Oh, I hear stress can be the reason you can't.., I mean, it doesn't mean I say you're impotent..., hormones and all sorts of things can't make you.you know..,"
"Did you think..., I didn't touch you because I had a problem down there?"
"Rather than below, in the head maybe..." Jessica thought Demian was uninspired because she was in a lot of trouble. That's natural, actually. What was unnatural was Demian's expression now.
Why does he look so shocked?
"Jess..." Demian said while holding his body so as not to fall. He felt so humiliated when his manhood was questioned. Jessica...., think she's impotent???
What kind of humiliation is this?
"Demians? Are you all right?"
Demian was like being spearheaded from behind.
