Zavian stroked the back of his mother who had not been willing to let go of the embrace. They were still standing in front of the door without a sound . There is only a slow stuffing along with a subtle vibration that indicates that the woman is crying while hugging her child. 

“ By, who is the guest ?” The curious Nayara finally came to her husband and was astonished to see the woman in the arms of Zavian.” 

“ Mom ?” 

“ Mama kangen,” whispered the woman while removing her melted tears. 

“ Me too,” reply Zavian. As Nayara approached and hugged her, Zavian again said.” We miss Mama too. “ 

They hugged three, and then Zavian led his mother into the house. He hurriedly closed the door to prevent cold air from entering his house.

“ You how are you, Nay?” mama Widya asked as she stroked her daughter-in-law's cheeks that looked a little chubby. 

“ Good, Ma. I hope Mama also has good news,” replied Nayara.

Mama Widya just smiled bitterly. He himself did not know if his current state could be said to be fine. There were many sad things that had happened to him lately and passed him in solitude. But Mama Widya does not want to share her sad story for fear of ruining the happiness of her son and daughter-in-law. 

“ Which Zean ? Mama miss him,” said Mama Widya. 

“ He just slept after playing since earlier,” replied Zavian. 

When hearing the baby's whining sound, Mama Widya's eyes were immediately fixed on an electric bouncer located near the room heater. The thick blanket there twitched along with a small kick. Mama Widya blinked her eyes while looking at Zavian and Nayara in turn, 

“ It must be her sister Zean.” muttered Mama Widya.

“ Yes,” replied Zavian while leading his Mama closer and asked the woman to sit on the sofa.” Nayara gave birth to a baby girl two weeks ago.” 

The baby was lifted from the bouncer and brought in front of Mama Widya whose eyes were increasingly teary . Nayara handed the baby to Mama Widya who was greeted with a warm embrace. 

“ She is beautiful once ,similar to you Nay,” said Mama Widya. 

Actually this baby is what makes Mama Widya desperate to come to America and leave Fabian alone. Trustee Mama Widya reports that Nayara has given birth to her second child. Therefore, Mama Widya could not hold back any longer. He has been patient for months and has to make his wish come true without anyone's consent. 

After being satisfied to hold the beautiful baby, Mama Widya then handed it to Nayara to breastfeed to fall asleep. Mama Widya then walks towards Zean's room to see her first grandchild who is getting older. Kissing Zean's head crest for a long time while crying . 

It hurt a lot to realize that all this time he had lost a lot of things and missed every moment of his grandson's development. 

“ Does Fabian know that Mama came here?” zavian asked as they sat together in the living room. 

Yes, she knows,” replied Mama Widya while nodding.” And she let Mama here.”

“ How is it now?” ask Zavian to make small talk. Though without needing to ask, he already knew how Fabian was doing at this time.

“ Bad,” replied Mama Widya while shaking with increasingly bitter face.” Fabian repeatedly went to the hospital and received medical treatment.”

“ Sorry to hear that ,” reply Zavian slowly. 

Mama Widya was silent for quite a while. He looked around and felt an aura of happiness wrapped in warmth. Zavian and Nayara are living a good life. They encourage each other and love each other wholeheartedly. The birth of their second child further adds to love and also complements happiness. 

Nayara entertained Mama Widya by providing a variety of dishes that are processed by herself. The woman who usually lives all-served now looks deft doing kitchen work. Zavian also intervened to help his wife in preparing some dishes. Both seem compact and work well together. 

From where she sat, Mama Widya looked at her son and daughter-in-law with a happy feeling. 

After dinner, Mama Widya was still sitting in the living room while Nayara put her baby to sleep in the room. Zavian brought warm tea and helped cover Mama Widya's feet to keep her warm.

“ Za, Mama apologizes,” Mama Widya said as she grabbed her son's hand. There was pain and regret in his tone. 

For everything Mama Widya has done to Zavian in the past, and for all the pain she has created. Mama Widya felt that she needed to apologize to her son. Zavian went away to other parts of the world because of him. 

“ I have forgiven, Mama,” Zavian said as he embraced the woman. 

Zavian once said that he should forgive his parents and take away the pain he had caused them. Let someday, his children also easily apologize when he made a mistake. Because Zavian is sure that everything will turn around and come back to him. 

“ Mama is happy to see you living happily here,” said the woman again.” Especially now that your child is two, it must be nice to accompany them to grow up every day.” 

There is no conversation about the family company that is on the brink of collapse. There was no half-convincing plea for Zavian to return home. There was also no talk of Fabian. 

He let Zavian live with all his happiness. He will not be teasing his son anymore. 

Mama Widya purely came to apologize for her mistake. And, sometimes what is needed is not an abundance of material and all forms of ambition towards the world, but also a word of apology that is able to calm all the chaos in the feelings. Just like Mama Widya did. 

“ Thank you for forgiving Mama,” said the woman again. 

“ I also apologize for leaving Mama and choosing to live far away here,” Zavian said. 

“ Mom cries when she knows you're gone, it hurts so much. But after a long time passed, Mama finally realized that you really have to go. That way Mama can reflect and realize how bad Mama's treatment for you all this time. Your departure makes Mama realize that Mama actually can not lose you, Mama also loves you, Za.” 

“ Ma...” 

“ Thank you for staying strong and fine. Mama's happy to see you here. Perhaps, your departure is the best decision you should have made . Now Mama relieved.” 

It may be true, people say, that the departure teaches the meaning of loss . And losing can also teach the meaning of having a real . That's why Mama Widya is here now. 

Mama Widya has been determined not to ruin her relationship with Zavian. He doesn't want to lose Zavian again. 

Zavian hugged his mother tightly and felt a warmth run through his heart. The quiet corner he had been leaving empty had now been refilled. 

“ Mama can not linger here. Maybe next week Mama should come back, it's okay,’kan ?” ask Mama Widya. 

“ Nothing , Ma. I'm glad Mama is here even for a moment, everything means a lot to me,” Zavian said sincerely. 

During the week there, Mama Widya really spent time together, her son, daughter-in-law and her two grandchildren. One unfortunate thing, namely the arrival of Mama Widya in the winter so they can not walk out. But the warmth in the house is still full of love and it feels no less fun. 

“ Later Mama should come again here, but not in winter again,” pinta Zavian while helping Mama pack. 

His suitcases have been lifted into the car and Zavian will take him to the airport. 

“ Summer next year Mama will be here again. Zia was six months old then,’kan ? And Zean has been three years, we will celebrate his birthday here,” said Mama Widya with enthusiasm. 

“ Yes,” replied Nayara while nodding sign agree.” Celebrating Zean's birthday with Mama seems like it would be fun. Mama must keep up with the words of Mama earlier.” 

“ Sure, darling. Sure.” said Mama Widya . He wore a warm scarf that wrapped around his neck. 

Mama Widya hugs and kisses Nayara before getting into the car. After that Zavian drove his mother to the airport and they parted warmly. 

Mama Widya returned to Indonesia with a warm and relieved feeling. She had earned her forgiveness from her son and no longer felt lost when she had to part ways. So did Zavian who let go of his mother with a feeling of love. Now he feels that he is also loved and cherished. 

When he returned home, Zavian did not feel that he was fleeing far away. After that, communication with Mama Widya was warm. They routinely call and make video calls to see how Zean and Zia develop.

Unfortunately, when summer came, Mama Widya could not keep her promise to vacation and celebrate Zean's third birthday. With a sad face and reddened eyes after crying, Mama Widya called Zavian. 

“ Fabian situation worsens,” said Mama Widya while removing her tears. 

Behind him was Fabian lying in a hospital bed with a medical device that helped keep him breathing. The man was unconscious. 

“ Sorry, Mama can not go there to fulfill the promise that Mama has said,” he said again. 

Without thinking for long, Zavian made a decision quickly . He had forgiven everything and there was no longer any lingering pain in his heart.

“ Let us go home, Ma.”
