Missing the freedom

“ Finally Mama came to see me here too,” Fabian said while crying sobbing. He looked so pitiful in his current state. 

“ Wake up,” said Mama Widya as she grabbed her son's shoulder.

“ I thought Mama did not love me anymore and let me die alone in prison,” complained Fabian while wiping his tears. He stood up and looked deeply.

“ Mama still loves you, Bian,” replied Mama Widya honestly.

As a mother, she obviously loved her child and was not willing for her child to suffer like this. But he suppressed his feelings desperately for Fabian to realize that what he had been doing all along was wrong. 

Zavian requested special permission from the officers on guard to allow them time and space to speak for longer. There is a lot to talk about after a month has passed. Now they were sitting in a room not far from the guard room. 

“ You are very thin,” said Mama Widya while looking at the compassion of her son's increasingly tapered face. 

“ Life in jail is not at all good , Ma .” replied Fabian.” That's why I'm so happy Mama came here.” Fabian looked at Zavian and Mama Widya in turn. “ You guys came to free me from here, right ?” 

“ We mean to come here just to see your situation, Bian,” said Mama Widya while shaking her head.

“ There is something I have to talk to you about directly,”ujar Zavian when he caught the surprised look of his brother.

Fabian raised both his hands in gestures telling him to stop talking. His forehead creased a sign of something he did not like.

“ So you guys didn't come here to free me?” ask Fabian.

Mama Widya shook her head slowly, while Zavian only gave a faint snort . Seeing the response given by Mama and her sister made Fabian immediately angry. 

All this time he had always hoped that someone would come to save him. Even Fabian told his lawyer many times to have his detention suspended, but it turned out that what he wanted was never granted. His lawyer was very idealistic and adhered to the law.

Upon seeing the arrival of his family, Fabian hopes to get some very meaningful help. One month behind bars with all the legal procedures he lived made Fabian feel very tired. He misses freedom out there.

“ You guys are actually still my family, not ?” asked Fabian in a bitter voice.

“ We're still your family, Bian. Forever it will remain so. But now you are in a state of guilt and must take responsibility. You can not casually ask to be released after what you did.” explained Mama Widya. 

“ Tega Mama said that?” touch Fabian again. The corner of his lips lifted into a sinister smile. “ See my current situation, Ma. I ate less, slept less and was pathetic. Does Mama not pity one bit?”

“ Mama pity but you have to serve your punishment,” said Mama Widya.

“ Keep doing here ? Just want to mock me ?” fabian asked exasperatedly as he looked at Zavian who was before him at this moment.

“ I just accompany Mama,” replied Zavian casually.

Fabian screeched cynically for a while. He then said,” I didn't expect you guys to be like this. Though we are still one family but do not want to give help.”

“ The problem is your case is severe, Bian. You run over people until they die and it's clear you can't escape the law. Coupled with your case that proved to be taking drugs.” explained Mama Widya with a voice made as firmly as possible.  She doesn't want to look weak in front of her son.” You cannot ask to be released. This case is not the same as your hot video case where you can escape from the legal snare even though it has been designated as a suspect.”

“ But Mama has money and can bribe the police to get me released ! Mama can do that !” exclaim Fabian with full of emotion.” After all, all the compensation and also the death money requested by the victim I paid using my own money. Still not fair?”

“ The life is priceless,” cetus Zavian said Fabian.” You already know how to lose Papa in the unexpected time. Likewise with the victim who lost his father due to the act of lo. Although given as much money as anything it will not be able to replace the life of a father !”

“ Bacot lo, brengsek !” hardik Fabian on his sister it.” I'm sick of seeing this pretentious idealistic attitude!”

Fabian immediately stood up and looked at the two people before him with annoyed and angry eyes.

“ If you can't help anything mending go from here !” snapped Fabian hard.

Mama Widya was shocked not to play. He looked at his son with eyes full of sadness. “ Fabian..”.

“ Mama won't set me free , right?” asked Fabian in a cynical tone.”Mama doesn't have to come here anymore ! Let me die in this prison !”

“ Mama came here because still care same lo!” exclaimed Zavian who was sick of seeing his brother's behavior. 

“ Haalah ! Care what? I'm asking to be released Mama doesn't want !” reply Fabian.

“ Your error is so bad, yes! Conscious dong !” reply Zavian grow furious.” Not all your wishes can be granted!”

“ That's why I told you to get out of here ! Your arrival is not useful at all ! You only came to pity me but did not want to help free !” sahut Fabian's.  

“ Come, Ma. Let's just go,” Zavian said as he stood up.

“ Let me take care of myself ! I want to live or die here, you don't need to know ! “ screams Fabian again.

Mama Widya returned to tears but Zavian immediately pulled the middle-aged woman's hand to get out. At first Mama Widya still wanted to talk and persuade Fabian but Zavian forbade her.

“ I thought Fabian was crying because he had already repented and realized his mistake. But it turns out he was crying because he was not strong in prison,” grumbled Zavian.” His attitude is still the same as it turns out.”

Mama Widya grabbed the tissue and wiped her tears flowing down her cheeks. He also did not expect that Fabian would behave like this. Though Mama Widya had planned to hire a famous lawyer to defend her in court later so that her sentence was commuted . But it turns out that everything is not going according to his wishes.

“ Mama disappointed with Fabian,” said the woman.

“ He is used to being pampered and all his wishes are granted . That's why he thinks people will side with him despite having made a fatal mistake once, ” said Zavian. 

“ This is all wrong Mama,” said Mama Widya full of regrets.

“ Yes, Mama was wrong in taking care of her, but now stop blaming yourself,” Zavian said gently.

Mama Widya cried again imagining the attitude of her son who never changed despite having entered the prison. Zavian refrained from discussing the company's problems before Fabian. 

Meanwhile inside his holding cell, Fabian went back into a rampage while screaming . She was disappointed to see her mother's rejection. Though all this time his mother always granted his wish without a second thought.

“ Brengssek !” yelled Fabian while banging on the wall.” Zavian fucking ! It must have been him who influenced Mama to refuse to free me from here. Indeed base brash sister !”

The swearing glided free from Fabian's mouth. Fortunately, he was placed in a special cell so that no other prisoners were disturbed by his actions. The guards also tried to understand Fabian's behavior because they thought it might be possible that Fabian was upset because he was experiencing withdrawal symptoms.

Fabian's efforts to be free did not pay off . He still has to undergo a criminal trial for all the cases that are now happening to him. Even his intention to change lawyers could not be accomplished.
