'Rania.' said Mas Darwin. 'Am I being so mean to you?'

Me and Darwin stared at each other for a long time. I can't confirm his thoughts at this time. However, then he said in a quite heavy voice, "I'll divorce you."

"But that's after you gave birth. Before that time comes, be my wife!"

"Why?" my many. "Why are you putting off divorcing me, Mom? You want to take this kid, right?"

Darwin was silent and I continued saying, "I am the one who conceives this child and will give birth to it later. I'm more entitled to this child than anyone, including you, Mas."

I saw that the expression on Darwin's face changed a little. "I just want to make sure you and our children don't lack anything" said Mas Darwin. "I want to take responsibility as a father."

"I can try to take care of this child myself" I said with so much ego.

"You can't, Rania," said Mas Darwin. "You want to work like yesterday?"

I was silent to hear his question.

"Don't jeopardize the safety of our child! I'm not gonna let you and this kid get lost. I deserve this child too."

"Come home with me! Don't run away again!"

"Come home?" spontaneous talk. "Then, you're here happy with Alya." I shook my head. "I can't, Mom. I have feelings."

"Be my wife!" pinta Mas Darwin's. I don't know why it sounded so soft in my ears, making my tears even more dripping.

"Be my wife!" say to Darwin again. "I will fulfill all your desires."

"I want this child" I said immediately. "Don't take this kid from me!"

Darwin was silent. He looked at me and I said, "Can you do that, Mom?"

Darwin remained silent and I said again, "You said you would fulfill all my wishes. I want this kid."

I am currently on my way to Kayuagung. I finally agreed to the deal put forward by Mas Darwin. I won't divorce her until my son is born. As a consequence after the divorce Mas Darwin had to give up full custody of the child to me.

I'm going to last for the next nine months to get this kid. Nine months is not a short time for me to witness the intimacy of Mas Darwin and his wife. But, I'll try. I will try to close my eyes and ears to not care about all my husband's actions.

I've already been caught up in this complicated household game. I have to finish it and get a good divorce from Mas Darwin.

"Mom doesn't know anything about our problems. Be my wife as always!" said Mas Darwin so parked his car in the yard. We arrived at Mas Darwin's house in Kayuagung.

Mother opened the door after Mas Darwin knocked on the door several times. Mom's expression when she opened the door was a little astonished. He said, "Well, Darwin.. You don't work today?"

And when he saw me he was even more astonished. "Rania, your lips why are they blisters?"

I shut up and glanced at Mas Darwin. He then said, "It's okay, Mom. Rania's lips just hit the closet."

I didn't say anything to Mom. I immediately set my foot in our room. I heard you ask Mas Darwin, "Why does Rania look so tangled?"

"It's okay, Mom. Rania is not healthy. She's pregnant young."

"Pregnant?" Mother's voice sounded so shocked. "You're seriously pregnant Rania?"

Darwin just nodded and I asked, "When? Why don't you tell me the same mother?"

"Darwin also just found out, Mom," said Mas Darwin.

Mom rushed into our room and hunted me with the question, "Rania, are you really pregnant?"

I nodded weakly without smiling. My mood is too bad right now and I can't hide it.

"You should be grateful" said the mother immediately. "Having the child should be happy, not wrinkling like this your face" said the mother. "You must take good care of the mother's granddaughter! Eat nutritious food! I don't want my granddaughter to be stupid because you don't pay attention to her nutrition."

Again I just nodded. And, my mother suddenly told me, "You've had a fight, haven't you, Darwin?"

I was surprised and spontaneously looked at my mother's face. 'Where do you know?' my thinking.

Mom's instincts are so strong. Moreover, he saw my eyes that were slightly swollen. He was sure I had just cried a lot.

"Not to dodge. I knew something was wrong between you. You can't cover it up" said the mother so sure.

"That's not true, Mom." Darwin was suddenly on the doorstep of our room. "We're doing fine. Rania is just tired and needs rest."

Mother retreated from her position, looked at me and looked at Mas Darwin. Then, he walked out of the room, leaving us both. However, in his heart he remained convinced that something was amiss between the two of us.

After Mom left, Darwin walked over to me. I was sitting on the bedside and he sat next to me. His outstretched hand wanted to touch and see the wound on my lips, but I immediately threw out his hand and turned my face away. I don't need any attention from him right now.

Darwin said, "Rania, I can't stay here. In the afternoon I will return to Indralaya. I have to go to the office tomorrow morning."

I just kept quiet hearing his words. My expression is flat, not implying anything. The point is I don't care.

Then, Mas Darwin said again, "From today on I stopped giving you monthly money, Rania."

"I won't let you go again. You could've used that money to get out of here."

I turned to Mas Darwin and said, "I'm not surprised. I was expecting it when you took my wallet."

"Whatever you need, I'll fulfill, Rania. Call me if you need anything, I'll buy it for you."

I don't care what Mas Darwin says. For me his treatment of me was the same as wanting to lock me up here so that I would obey him and not go anywhere. And, I inevitably have to follow her will until giving birth later.

"Peach the child in your womb is fine, Rania! Don't be so tired! I'm gonna find a housekeeper to help out in this house. So, you can have more time to rest." Darwin tried to show me his attention, but I didn't care.
