THE FORMER SHADOW

THE FORMER SHADOW
2. Cantara Sick

This is where Badrina is now. Getting out of the taxi, grazing her small suitcase, Badrina heads to the hospital receptionist to inquire about her son's room.

His son was lying in a hospital bed. Her ex-husband and family were also there. Pain Badrina. 5 years of age Cantara, only this time he was hospitalized, even without his presence as a mother who accompanied when entering the treatment room.

In this VIP room there is only a patient on behalf of his son Cantara Benazir. Her former mother-in-law approached and stroked her shoulders.

"So from last night you wanted to call your name." Badrina stroked his son's forehead as if transferring energy to his daughter.

Badrina's mother-in-law is ideal for a daughter-in-law. Despite being separated and not a daughter-in-law anymore, her mother-in-law remained kind to her. It's very motherly.

This is what is unfortunate Badrina, no longer have a mother-in-law as good as that. But, the name marriage is more about the relationship of husband and wife while the other family is the support system.

"Is there a diagnosis of pain, Ma?" Badrina turned to her mother-in-law, Nuraini.

"Yet. Later in the day the pediatrician will visit and explain the disease."

Badrina was sad to see the condition of her son, infused and wrapped in plast. Surely many times the drug has been minimized to Cantara, he thought. Children who have difficulty taking medication because they rarely get sick. A sense of regret rumbled on his chest. He feels bad.

Even if Cantara fever, Badrina will be alert with all massage oil, water, thermometer, and compress device. Don't forget, she's a good mother.

"How did Canta get to the hospital, Ma?" asked Badrina turned to Nuraini again.

"Yesterday afternoon Canta suddenly had a high fever, in his temperature thermometer 39 degrees. Even more night even rose 40 degrees when the mother had been compressing and giving fever-lowering drugs from afternoon, Mama told your husband.. uh. to papa Canta quickly brought to IGD only." Nuraini hurriedly corrected her erroneous remarks.

Her ex-husband just stayed on the couch. There was no explanation or response. In his heart, Badrina really changed or he who paid less attention to Badrina while still his wife. Something seems to be missing for Arshaka.

Waiting in the same room as her ex-husband made Badrina less comfortable. Mama Arshaka has returned home to rest. This should be the doctor's visiting patient's hour. However, there may be many patients so Cantara has not got a turn. Better Badrina decide to go out.

"I'm out first. If the doctor comes please call me." Badrina told her ex-husband. Arshaka nodded without making a sound.

Badrina chose to walk towards the hospital canteen. Sitting in the canteen accompanied by a bottle of mineral water feels more comfortable, the thirst is complete.

When looking at Arshaka, Badrina's heart is still often crowded. How the man threw the talaq at him. In other words, she no longer wanted her husband. However, today she met her husband in a less conducive condition, a sick child. Badrina was overwhelmed with sadness.

Since childhood Badrina's life is not easy, he has been left behind by parents. His father had gone home first then followed by his mother two years later due to stop breathing.

Unfortunately, since her father died, Badrina was no longer in the care of her mother but her aunt.

The psychological burden left by the husband makes his mother depressed and affects his heart. He was a child when he was left. Badrina did not want to be like that, so she arranged her life and household so neatly.

Not to mention the upbringing of aunty Poppy hard and loud speech every day so familiar roared in his brain, so that it was carried away until he became a mother and online entrepreneur.

Although different cases with his mother, left behind husband still left husband. The difference is that she can still see her ex-husband. Thankfully, his son still has a father.

Why are you crying again Badrina? Said a voice in his head.

Badrina did not want to end up like her mother, returning home in a depressed embrace. And at that time, to the knowledge of Badrina, in limited scholarship, made the condition of his mother difficult to accept his father's family. And considered troublesome until finally his mother went in a sitting position at the dining table. Now even if Badrina is called let it be in a calm and peaceful condition.

His tears grew louder, as his mind was filled with images of Cantara Benazir. The little boy, did he feel depressed as his son? Has the affection of Arshaka and Badrina filled the cup of his life? Or will it be a generation of depression as well?

Badrina wiped her tears. He's really tired. But he had to be upright for his son. Badrina just wants to be loved and be able to love properly.

The sound of a notification to his phone blew Badrina's reflection. He got a message, the pediatrician was making a visit to the room Cantara. Rushed Badrina there.

Doctors said the diagnosis of her child's illness was a viral infection. The platelets are low so they need to be monitored daily and will stay in RS until the fever subsides and platelets rise several times.

Badrina and Arshaka resigned to what the doctor said. Accept and follow every doctor's advice. They took turns guarding the Cantara. When people look, they will judge the Arshaka family to be happy.

Causes of viral infections there are many ranging from hygiene, low body immunity, transmitted from others, and what else earlier said the doctor. So that the Cantara environment should be considered by both parents.

At this moment, Cantara was awake. He smiled to find his father and mother together.

"Mamaaaa..." Cantara asked to be hugged.

"Mama, where have you been? Canta kangen mom." His son sobbed to convey his heart.

"You're here, deket Canta. It's not going anywhere, honey." His tone was cheerful, to motivate Cantara. Badrina rubbed her son's head. Meanwhile, Arshaka kept his distance, standing near the sofa.

Canta broke down a hug, but still embraced the waist of his mother who was standing beside the bed. He called his father and asked to be hugged.

Ah how is this!?

Arshaka got up from the sofa and sat hugging Canta by the side of the bed, so as not to meet the face of the ex-wife.

"Canta's a nightmare. Canta was alone in the middle of the road. Papa mama's coming, Canta can't hug."

Recalling, Canta continued, "Papa mama left but not together. Another direction. Canta is sad." Canta began to cry as he pleased because his dream seemed real.

Badrina and Arshaka fell silent with their respective minds. Badrina calms her son, saying they as a mother father are currently with Cantara so there is nothing to worry about.

Their children have to bear the consequences of their lack of cooperation as parents. Hopefully the child slowly understands the problems of his parents or should those who learn to understand the needs of Cantara.
