THE FORMER SHADOW

THE FORMER SHADOW
25. Badrina's Restlessness

Waking up in the morning, Badrina rushed to clean up and worship. Then he joined the kitchen to help the housekeeper to provide breakfast.

Nuraini has not been seen in the kitchen, her former mother-in-law is also a person who does not hesitate to jump into the kitchen.

Badrina's plan, this morning he and Cantara will return home, after breakfast.

"Morning, Rina," Nuraini said. Badrina. "Morning daydreaming. Later there will be subtle creatures greeting, loh," Nuraini joked.

Rina smiled shyly while being caught daydreaming while slicing a red onion. Thankfully, his hands were unharmed as he daydreamed, "Morning too, Ma" Badrina replied.

"Your mother came home all night, she was no longer horrified. Mama and Canta are fine. Who gets home first?" ask Nuraini.

"Yes Ma, I don't wake up mama. Go straight into the room. Last night we went home together, Ma. Our accuracy is also the same restaurant" replied Badrina.

Nuraini nodded her head, next, they together prepared breakfast.

Cantara enters the dining room, greeting her mother and her oma, but she does not find Arshaka there. "Have you not woken up yet, Ma?"

"Not yet, papa you if the weekend of munchies prolongs sleep time, Canta. For that one, Canta don't copy Papa." Nuraini answered.

Cantara. They continue to eat breakfast in the absence of Arshaka. For Badrina it was better, when meeting Arshaka ended with a debate it felt Badrina was lazy.

Badrina is getting ready to go home. In the middle of breakfast, he had told Nuraini that they would go home after breakfast.

Cantara went into her mother's room, "Mama. How come there's nothing in the room?" tanyanya. Cantara saw her mother's bed was neat.

Then, Cantara opened the door of the restroom looking for her papa. "There is nothing here, Ma, too" said Cantara.

Badrina's hand that was busy compiling the Cantara equipment stopped hearing her son's critical question. Badrina recalled that Cantara did not know the name of separating the rooms and separating the beds.

Badrina was too lazy to answer, but she answered well. "Papa. papa you. But.. but. seemed to be sleeping in the next room instead," Badrina replied stammeringly. He observes his son's reaction, whether suspicious or accepting it as the truth.

"Oh. papa.

"Em. We'll be home soon. Ee... Canta wants a part with papa? But maybe your papa." Badrina grimaced, but tried to persuade her son not to meet his father. Badrina felt her heart feeling bad.

"Yes, Ma. Ngga. Later will also meet Papa," said Cantara remained enthusiastic.

"Hug mama dong, son," pinta Badrina. Cantara granted, she hugged her mother tightly. Badrina raised her head to ward off the tears that would fall on her cheeks. His daughter grew up with good understanding.

He may cry, but crying in front of Cantara will make his daughter confused. There is no way he said honestly at this time to Cantara that papa and his mother are difficult to get back together.

Badrina has booked a taxi to drive them home. Nuraini waited for them on the terrace until the taxi came and passed away. Cantara waved at her oma and gave the kiss bye symbol.

Nuraini went back in and sat in the living room. He turned on the television to watch his favorite program, a talk show wrapped in Tausiyah that discusses daily life.

Some time later, Arshaka was seen entering the living room with a glass of warm mineral water in his right hand, "Morning, Ma" he said. He sat next to Nuraini.

"August, baby. You up?" retort Nuraini turned a glance and continued his spectacle.

"Sepi, Ma. Where are Canta and Rina, Ma?" asked Arshaka and then sipped water.

"Home home."

Arshaka spouted water from inside his mouth in surprise.

"Shaka, you slob," said Nuraini, patting her son on the shoulder.

"Going home? Why wasn't I built, Ma?" tanya Arshaka ignored her mother's reprimand.

"Where do you know, last night you went home with Rina, your room next door. It's that close, when Rina doesn't tell?" nuraini asked, turning to her son, she was upset that Arshaka had asked her about Badrina instead.

"Rina does not have a story, Ma" Arshaka said.

"Everything, you correct yourself, why is it like that" Nuraini said. He turned off the television from there, choosing to watch in the room only.

"Children come to visit on weekends, even molasses. Mama said never have to come again if the weekend, papa cuek duck," upset Nuraini did not justify the attitude of his son.

Arshaka snorted, he was also upset with the way women thought, what is the difficulty of waking himself up to the room?

Jeez...

Arshaka got up, walked towards her room. He picked up his phone and called Badrina's number.

Unfortunately, Badrina's mobile number is making another call.

Arshaka writes a message to Badrina's phone.

[Why not wake me up?].

Badrina closed the call from her aunt, and she was strongly reprimanded for her meeting with Hafez on Saturday night. Badrina was blamed for accepting the offer to return home with Arshaka and letting Hafez go home alone.

Badrina guessed Hafez told her about the incident that night. However, according to Poppy, it was he who asked Hafez about their meeting, not the man who told the story.

Poppy scolded Badrina, reminding her that the relationship with Arshaka is no longer a husband and wife relationship so Badrina should not be dictated anything else by Arshaka.

Badrina is also called a fool by Poppy because it is still in the shadow of Arshaka. Badrina was very sad to hear the tantric. Again he made a mistake and disappointed his aunt.

Badrina opens the messaging app. There is a message from Arshaka, he does not intend to reply. Just a moment of reading, Arshaka calls back in.

With the ogah-ogahan Badrina lifted up. "M.m.," he said.

Arshaka. Her brain responded quickly, Badrina's tone of voice sounded uninspired. He had intended to reprimand Badrina for going home not telling and waking him up.

"Rina, you're home. Sorry, I was still asleep. Usually you wake me up" said Arshaka slowly.

Badrina kept quiet, Arshaka confusedly continued the sentence, "E. em... I'll be home later, yeah. Where is canta?" ask Arshaka as gently as possible.

Badrina still did not speak. Arshaka hears Badrina handing the phone to Cantara.

"Hello, Papa..," cried Cantara happy.

"Eeh. hi, papa's son. What else, son?" reply Arshaka.

"Again playing doll, Pa," replied Cantara as it is.

"Canta, Papa's sorry, but Papa didn't wake up at --"

"Ngga papa, Pa... Mama said, Papa had woken up and moved to the next room, continued to sleep again," giggling Cantara recalled his conversation with Badrina.

Arshaka grimaced and rubbed his nape. He felt bad to hear the innocence of this little princess.

"Canta, what's the matter now?" ask Arshaka curiously.

Cantara turned her head, she did not see her mother in the family room, "Mama again not the same Canta, Pa. Maybe in the kitchen" replied Cantara.

"Oh... Before papa called, mama what was it?" search again. The man was curious about Badrina's sudden change in response to being unfriendly to her.

Cantara thought while putting her index finger on her cheek, "Before.oh..mama called Nini Poppy, Pa," replied Cantara honestly.

"Speak what?" search Arshaka again.

"Canta doesn't know, Pa. Mama was far away from her call," replied Cantara sober.

"OKAY. Come to the house later, son. Canta took a nap" Arshaka promised.

Cantara's happy reaction warms Arshaka's heart, but Badrina's cold demeanor leaves her to ask. For whatever reason, Arshaka still wants to know who's dealing with Badrina.
