THE FORMER SHADOW

THE FORMER SHADOW
63. Rescue

Arshaka has got a boxcar to transport the ransom. He asked permission from his office to settle family matters. Arshaka is open about his problems with a director as his boss.

During the day break, he went to pick up a boxcar from a bank that had been parked earlier. It is not easy for the vehicle to come out because the nominal is very large. Arshaka must involve the authorities responsible for the search for Cantara.

Arshaka drives alone to a location on the city border close to the plantation area. The breathing becomes heavier as it approaches the location. He often glanced left and right, monitoring the desolate situation.

On arrival, Arshaka stopped his vehicle. Not yet out of the car, sweat had soaked his body. It is certainly not easy, he will face directly with his son's kidnapper.

Whether their number was how many, was it carrying sharp weapons, moreover was his daughter still fine? Those questions added to his fear.

But how do you want? Saving Cantara is Arshaka's priority now.

Previously, Badrina had been contacted to deliver the ransom, Arshaka refused if Badrina did.

Arshaka requested that his mobile number given to the kidnappers in order for them to contact Arshaka regarding the ransom transfer.

Arshaka stopped the vehicle, not seeing anyone around the plantation. The ringing of the phone shocked Arshaka, even though it was his own. Arshaka is contacted by a kidnapper asking him to park into the forest.

[It's quiet here too. I'll leave the vehicle.] bargain Arshaka.

He refused to let his crib park in, killing himself, Arshaka thought.

After a tug-of-war, the kidnapper agreed. They had indeed teamed up with the plantation guards to secure the location.

Called tired replacement money, of course the plantation guards are interested in doing it.

Arshaka got off the crib. As he set his foot, a black-coloured vehicle drove slowly from the front. A few meters away, the car stopped.

No movement at all. Arshaka was timid, whether to stay in place or walk towards the vehicle.

Message notification reads.

[Retreat!] messages from an unknown number went into Arshaka's phone.

Arshaka walked back a few meters, the distance getting further and further. Another box car followed from behind approaching the vehicle containing the ransom that Arshaka had left behind.

[Where's my son!?] arshaka asked beaveringly, he typed quickly.

Apparently, the kidnapper wants to play sneaky, Arshaka doesn't accept.

[Contillable. Your son is in this car, ] replied the kidnapper.

The kidnapper's mobile number is now two on Arshaka. He suspects that the mobile number he last contacted was the mastermind of his son's abduction.

[Give me my son and take the money.]

Arshaka looked straight ahead. The rear passenger sedan car door is open. He thought Cantara would come out.

However, the shoes that trace does not belong to his son, but to an adult woman.

Arshaka was surprised to find the old figure did not meet him.

Monera!

Arshaka clenched her hands. Never thought that behind the kidnapping was Monera. He had suspected that Poppy Alysa had committed the crime or Hafez Irsyad the hired man.

It feels like Arshaka is chasing and giving a little lesson to his young friend. He remembered in the past they were friends so harmoniously.

From the door next to the open is also seen treading shoes belonging to adult women. It's a bit long out, like taking care of something first.

Who else is this? What's Poppy? guess it.

When the woman came out, she closed the door, opened her headgear and sunglasses and threw a smile at Arshaka, a second later the man cursed furiously.

"Lady." Arshaka. "Suck!" As Arshaka put it, his voice can only be heard by Arshaka himself. Arshaka's hands clenched strongly feeling tricked by Maulidya.

Arshaka suppressed his emotions with a low growl. He tried to calm himself so as not to be emotionally aroused.

"Where's my son, Canta!?" shouts Arshaka from where he stands.

The two women closed the door, walked towards the front of the car, a little they walked towards Arshaka. Both of them gave a sly and petty smile.

"money settled?" monera asked shouting, she ignored Arshaka's question.

"In that car, 4 billion rupiahs" said Arshaka, pointing with his view.

Maulidya and Monera took another step forward until they were within three meters.

"Why do you do this?" ask Arshaka. He tried to calm down, his fist was open.

Monera commented on the slanted smile on her lips.

"still asking? You and your wife hurt my mother. You are ungrateful humans."

Arshaka's view turned to Maulidya.

Maulidya returned Arshaka's gaze, he lifted his chin and said, "You hurt me and played me and Ameera." Maulidya's gaze implied a wound.

Arshaka shakes his head, he considers both of them playing victim, feeling victimized, when in reality it is not so.

"We just want to compensate for the pain we've been through" Monera said. "4 Billion. You can fulfill. You and Badrina are not difficult people, right," he continued laughing scornfully.

That laugh sounded disgusting at Arshaka's hearing. In that instant Arshaka decided to no longer have friends named Maulidya and Monera, two foul-hearted women.

"You don't feel sorry for Ameera?" tanya Arshaka tried to shake Maulidya's heart. Maulidya's actions will make it difficult for Ameera because what Maulidya does is unlawful.

Hearing her son's name being called, Maulidya became emotional. "Don't mention my son's name! He thinks you're dad, but you threw it away!" maulidya said.

"I didn't throw it away. You're exaggerating," Arshaka refuted throwing his gaze in the other direction.

Seeing a trace of anger from the look in Maulidya's eyes, Arshaka refrained from throwing back his anger.

"Give me my son," Arshaka pinta then calmly.

"Move the money!" monera shouted at the two men who had been standing in the back of the crib.

"Give Cantara!" arshaka shouted impatiently as she saw her money being moved to another empty car.

The applause from Maulidya bodes for someone from the car he drives to get off. From there he saw Cantara with his mouth and hands tied.

Maulidya and Monera retreated towards the car, while Cantara who had been untied ran towards her father with a run.

Arshaka sees that her son is not so well treated. Her clothes remained in school clothes the other day, her hair was disheveled, her running was not straight, and there could have been mistreatment of her daughter.

The kidnappers moved the ransom as quickly as possible. They are in a hurry to finish it because it is not a little money.

Arshaka hugged her daughter tightly. Cantara cried in her father's arms.

"Papa... Canta was afraid," the little boy sobbed.

"Papa is here for Canta" said Arshaka, hugging and rubbing his back to strengthen his beloved daughter.

From afar, someone prepared to cock the hammer back and pull the trigger to run the weapon.

He pointed and aimed right at the target.

Doorr!!
