THE FORMER SHADOW
54. Surprising Facts

Badrina ran over while crying, leaving the office building. Far behind her, Arshaka was clamoring for her name, Badrina did not care about her.

The woman had just heard the more shocking fact from Akmal that Arshaka eight years ago conspired with her aunt to seize the treasure of her adoptive parents. Previously, it was Arshakal who contacted Akmal asking him to tell about past events, when Badrina asked.

That fact is more painful than when Badrina heard that he was just an adopted child or Poppy was after his share of treasure.

Badrina's heart was like being hit with a big chunk of rock upon hearing the great secret that had been hidden all along. His gaze had turned to Arshaka who was looking down at the table.

Although Badrina was often angry at Arshaka, but deep down she loved Arshaka as a husband. There is no hatred for Arshaka, which is why Badrina is now able to open her heart to Arshaka's return.

However, the reality he had just heard made the conjecture in his mind that Arshaka's love was pseudo and pretended. Badrina became discouraged, feeling worthless.

A flash of light in the sky followed by thunder booming signifies rain will fall. Arshaka is forced to return to the office building area to retrieve his car, Badrina runs too fast so he can not catch up.

Rain drenched the paved streets. Arshaka kept his vehicle combing slowly in search of his ex-wife. He regretted after agreeing to the truth story that he accepted Poppy to marry Badrina through a cooperation agreement with the aim of making her mentally damaged for the sake of the struggle for inheritance.

Akmal as a law-savvy person had once warned Arshaka of the repercussions of his future deeds, unfortunately both Arshaka and Poppy were darkened by treasure. Akmal could not do much because his career was shining.

Arshaka says that during the first year it was right that he did wholeheartedly damage Badrina's mentality in manipulative ways. Entering the second year of apprehension, guilt hits him, eventually he meets Poppy and retreats from a sinister plot. From there Poppy began to hate Arshaka for defying her original plan.

However, this does not mean that Arshaka is in love with Badrina. There was still a shadow of a female figure in the recesses of his heart at that time. He treated Badrina coldly, even though the cooperation with Poppy had ended. For that reason, Poppy became dislike Arshaka who was considered at will to cancel the conspiracy.

Arshaka was really regretful with his attitude in the past. Dear thousands, Badrina was too shocked to hear the poignant facts about the man who filled her heart for eight years, even today.

Continuing to walk in the rain as people lost their way, Badrina's mind returned to the old memories that alternately appeared in his brain.

Badrina felt sad, unloved by anyone. Destined for themselves and used by the closest people. Plus, I don't know who his biological parents are and why he was raised by the Wriatmaja family.

Badrina shivered walking in the midst of the torrential rain. Her lips blackened, like the darkness of her loveless life.

Does he have to blame fate, which means he blames the Creator? Badrina shook her head, rubbing her wet face from the tears and rain.

Unknowingly Badrina walked far enough, until he looked forward to a beautiful stretch of garden. The rain had stopped accompanying his escape. Badrina stepped towards the blooming flower garden.

Badrina sat on a long bench. She smiled, can she be a flower, not a human? Flowers that please everyone, willingly picked and thrown away just like that when it has withered. Forgotten.

However, isn't that how Badrina lived? Used and used, taken sweet?

The smile that had just changed was sad. He again wept over his bad luck while covering his face with both palms.

Occasionally beaten his chest that felt tight and heavy. Badrina laid her body down on a long bench, tired of being so closely tormented. He should have been happy in the garden, but sadly sadness enveloped all his thoughts and feelings. Badrina fell asleep in distress.

Elsewhere, Poppy tore through a paper with a notice that the handover of the Wriatmaja estate would take less than a month to Badrina.

"Damn!" he threw the paper he had read into the trash. Akmal could not be invited to cooperate, too loyal to Wriatmaja.

His phone rang a sign, Poppy turned. Log in to the message notification from Hafez.

Poppy presses the download button. He was shocked to see the contents of the video shouted by Badrina while at the hotel last time with Ahmed Sabri. Poppy did not continue watching the video. Back he recalls the conditions he experienced.

Re-entering message from Hafez.

[I didn't expect you to buy younger men. I thought it was the only one in your life.]

Poppy doesn't want to be labeled bad, she replies to Hafez.

[Don't be a saintly pretender, you also approached me for one's sake. OF MONEY.]

Hafez inflamed reading Poppy's message. He replied with a fierce sentence.

[I really need money and want to be your lustful gratifier, does not mean I want to be cheated or ignored by you. From now on I reiterate, we have no relationship whatsoever].

Poppy's anger peaked, not only because of the content of Hafez's message, but also because of the letter of transfer of the inheritance from Akmal.

He replied to Hafez's message.

[I also don't want to have a relationship with you anymore].

When the message was sent to Hafez only appeared one tick on the messaging application owned by Poppy, it turns out that after the last message sent Hafez, the man immediately blocked the phone number Poppy.

Poppy gets more upset, he throws his phone to hit the sofa. His hands clenched full of anger considering the condition that was entangling him.

Badrina woke up with a heavy head and eyes. He tried to straighten his body, touching swollen eyes.

He saw the sun peeking out the window of his room. He began to remember previous events that made him unconscious. Last in his memory, he sat in a garden. When he reached his home, Badrina did not know the story.

"Mom's up?" muryati asked who had been inside Badrina's room. The middle-aged woman was ordered to wait for Badrina to wake up.

"Yes, Auntie" he answered. "Who brought me home, Bi?" badrina asked for an answer.

"Mr, Mama. Mr. Arshaka," replied Muryati. The middle-aged woman could sense there was an aura of trouble between the two, although it was unclear what.

Suddenly Badrina's heart did not like to hear Arshaka's name called Muryati. "Where's Canta, Bi?" ask again.

"Still at Arshaka's mother's house, ma'am" replied Muryati.

"Bi, please...." Clamped sentence in Badrina's throat. "Don't say my father's name in front of me" he said.

Although confused, Muryati nodded her head. After that, he went out to rest in the kitchen.

Badrina was crying again, but it was useless. He was trying to strengthen himself. Badrina had to devise an act to teach the party who once viewed her worthless.
