THE FORMER SHADOW

THE FORMER SHADOW
21. Transferring

On a clear Friday morning, Cantara was playing alone on the terrace of the house accompanied by her caregiver, after breakfast was finished.

Badrina did not appear, at this time he was at the Cantara school to take care of his daughter's move to another school. School goals have been determined by Badrina, but have not been discussed with Arshaka.

Sitting in a special room alone waiting for the headmaster who had come out to call a teacher, Badrina swept a glance around. This particular room is full of soft pastel colors. Called special because this room is used for personal meetings both by students and parents.

There is a large sofa surrounding a small table with a bottle of small flower vase on it. Badrina was sitting there at the moment. On the four sides of the room are medium-size animated images of children. This room is comfortable with a minimalist design.

The sound of a sliding door shifted Badrina's focus, entering a fat woman with glasses and chains perched in the ear.

Behind her followed a young woman wearing a head covering. They both wear the same uniform. Badrina knew that the first one who entered was the principal and the other teacher of Cantara who was not known by name by Badrina, seemed to be the new teacher.

"Good morning, Madam Badrina, sorry to wait so long," said the headmaster in a raspy voice.

Badrina just nodded and smiled.

"I called the teacher who was with the kids at the time eating together." The headmaster slightly lowered his gaze at Badrina from the top corner of his round glasses.

Badrina lets the principal make his point, though the purpose of coming to school is not to discuss the past. It felt obsolete, even the school did nothing after the incident until Badrina now sat in front of them.

The young woman smiled, then told how it happened so that Cantara cried. Badrina listened carefully to his words until it was over.

"Thank you for the school's explanation. It's happened, what can I do. Although according to Cantara, it is not the first time Parama had convicted Canta. It might be the height of Canta's annoyance." Badrina let out a long sigh in order not to follow the whispers of her negative emotions that began to rumble.

"I'm still moving Canta's school, ma'am. I'm here to take care of a school transfer certificate" Badrina continued to look at the principal.

"What can't be rethought, Madam Badrina. We will evaluate the system that the school implements so that there is no more opportunity for the child to judge his friend," persuaded the principal, did not want to lose students.

Badrina smiled faintly, her heart was sad because the headmaster said "would evaluate" means not yet, even though two days of bullying on her daughter had passed.

Badrina became less well-minded as the school thought the event was common, but it could damage a child's confidence.

Cantara not once twice got a negative word from Parama. Badrina did not feel confident entrusting her child's education at this school.

"After the incident I hugged Cantara, Mom. To strengthen her and take her to the teacher's room" interrupted the young teacher. The two of them seemed to have little regard for Badrina's move to pull her son out of school.

Badrina turned to him, "Thank you for watching Cantara, Master. On what school act Parama, ma'am?" ask Badrina.

Both silent.

The eyes of the young teacher twitched, as if to make up a story.

"Mom knows Canta is often bullied by Parama, not physical but speech?" badrina asked firmly panned towards the young teacher.

Now not only the eyeballs, but also the teacher's head and body began to move unsettled. The headmaster looked at the young teacher. Badrina guessed that the headmaster had just learned this fact.

"I didn't send my son to be smart, Mom. More so that he can feel affection through his relationships at school and give affection to others as well. Intelligence is not the main thing for me" Badrina said. "I feel that my principles have not been achieved in this school. Therefore I keep moving my child" continued Badrina confidently.

The principal could do nothing more than assign the administrative department to create the certificate Badrina needed.

How the fate of the young teacher was, Badrina did not care much.

Badrina was not able to convey the message as she is today when she was a child, even though she needed it, but never got a defense from anyone.

Badrina came home with the documents she needed. When he opened the gate of the house, he saw parked a black car belonging to Arshaka.

"Mama, are you home?" Cantara greeted him as he entered the house.

"Yes. Mama's son has lunch?" tanya Badrina watched Cantara.

"Already Ma, it was the same mother," he replied.

"Where's papa's car outside, where's papa?" They walked into the house.

"Friday's Father, Ma," replied Cantara leaving Badrina standing at the door of her room. Cantara continues his playing activities. Never before had Arshaka prayed to the mosque near the house, there may have been a longing, the inner Badrina.

Badrina washed her hands in the washroom sink in her private room, changing clothes with a regular negligee. His digestion was empty, he stepped into the kitchen for lunch, "A busier as if he had eaten?" badrina asked the mother who was busy cleaning the kitchen set.

"Already, ma'am," he replied politely.

When he was about to scoop food onto the plate, Arshaka arrived and went into the hymen "So said Canta you to school take care of the move? How'd it go?" tanya Arshaka took a sitting position opposite Badrina.

"Good result. The documents of the certificate moved, I have been able to," explained Badrina.

"Nothing happened, did it?" search Arshaka.

Badrina understood the direction of Arshaka's question, "You expect something bad to happen to me?" badrina asked while feeding food into her mouth, slightly glancing towards Arshaka.

"Ck.. always think badly of my questions" Arshaka recalls.

Badrina chuckles.

"Please, serve my food," Arshaka's bowed-down command checked her phone. The spoon that almost hit Badrina's mouth was put back on the plate.

Badrina complied with Arshaka's request, "If you ask for help it is polite, not busy with your own cell phone. There was ethics at the dinner table" Badrina handed over a plate that had been filled with food.

Arshaka saved her phone to the bench next to her, "Ready, Madam. It was an important message from the office" Arshaka said with a smile.

They ate together quietly, occasionally small talk came out.

Finished that, Badrina cleaned the tableware, while Arshaka was still sitting looking at Badrina's back, "There is a new school candidate for Cantara?" asked Arshaka, "not too long off, later the fun at home so difficult again Canta asked to go to school," Arshaka guessed.

"Pure. It's been. Last night I called the school. I haven't told you yet" Badrina replied without seeing her interlocutor, she was busy washing the dishes used to eat.

"Oh, which school? If I could get Canta back once in a while," Arshaka bargained.

"School's good. TK. Pelita Kasih Mommy," replied Badrina turned around wiping her hands.

Arshaka coughed covertly after hearing the name of her son's new school.
