Ch. 12:Lost the Beloved Brother

Amidst the city's overcrowding at night, a group of people entered the inn building to get some rest.

"alright. I went first to report the incident that happened earlier to His Majesty."

"Yes." Yeah."

"Thank you for the cooperation."

"I hope we can work together again later."

"certain."

Leaving the inn room, a man waved at them while walking away from their place. Slowly, the figure of the man waving away and disappeared from the crowd outside the city.

"alright. Now we just have to wait for him to wake up."

"You're right."

"Does this take a long time?"

"Eitherway. Depending on her, sooner or later, she'll realize."

Noting their gaze to the long blue haired woman, they were anxious and worried over her condition.

According to them, his unconsciousness would be a big problem if they were seen by the residents of the city. Not only seen, most of the residents will most likely spread bad rumors about them.

That was why they were worried that bad rumors would sound sooner or later to their ears.

"alright. I think it's better if I go to order food and drinks in advance at the inn."

"Yes." Yeah."

"Sorry to trouble you, Regard."

After waving his hands and exiting the room, Regard rushed down the stairs to the ground floor, ordering food and drinks to the innkeeper.

"Furuhiora, is there no way to make her aware?"

"I can actually do it, but I don't want to break my agreement with Regard so I deliberately didn't do it."

"That's it."

Sighing deeply, Shilphonia already suspected that Friya's refusal was given to her.

Approaching the body of the long blue haired woman, Shilphonia sat down on the side of the mattress and checked her condition. His condition can be said to be fine, ranging from blood flow, respiratory system, pulse, and beating heart really make Shilphonia relieved at his condition is not terrible and scary.

For Shilphonia, the attack by Regard was terrible and frightening. Besides being strong and powerful, his attacks could easily kill anyone who became his enemy so Shilphonia could not bear if the long blue-haired woman became the next victim of the ferocity possessed by Regard.

"Yes. Here, take it."

"Thank you, son."

"Yes, you're welcome."

Leaving the ground floor, Regard decided to return to the second floor where his room and Shilphonia's room were located.

Because Friya does not have a room, it is possible that Regard will book one more room to place them both later in one of the rooms with two mattresses in it or the long blue haired lady going along with Shilphonia, the decision is in the hands of Friya.

That's the best according to Regard.

"How's he doing, Shilph, Furuhiora?"

"He's still unconscious."

"Looks like he took a long time huh."

Approaching the mattress to see his condition, Regard sighed softly at the unconsciousness of the long blue-haired woman who was still asleep in her sleep.

Sitting on the side of the mattress, Regard's arm injured one of the long blue-haired girl's arms and allowed her blood to flow.

"Tu-wait.. What are you doing, Regard?"

"Why did you hurt him?"

"Just calm. I just want to know how far I can get him back to consciousness."

"Recognize?"

"Yes." Yeah."

Finished saying that to them, Regard got closer to the wound he made and sucked his blood.

The sensation caused from the blood of the long blue haired woman felt very refreshing to suck. Every time he swallowed it, there was a sweet taste of his blood that caused Regard's body to want to suck it constantly.

But before he made the decision to suck it up constantly, he spat it out and healed the wound so that he would not lose control which could cause him to take almost all of his blood.

He didn't want it to happen so he purposely avoided it.

"I go to my room first."

"Good."

"Tu-wait, Regard!"

Stopping his footsteps in front of the door, Regard turned his head towards Shilphonia who called out his name.

"What's wrong?"

"Was she fine without any of the side effects Furuhiora had?"

"He's fine so don't worry."

Finished saying that to Shilphonia, Regard walked out of Shilphonia's room into his own.

The Regard POV

So far I understand the situation.

Daffa and Reina had a very close brotherly relationship that could not be separated. Every time Daffa left Reita, she always asked her brother to come with her which forced her to take him away with her.

That's why I understand the condition that Reita has, the long blue haired girl.

Most likely the cause of his rampage was his brother who was killed. Moreover, her brother was killed by a group of Goblins who surrounded the entrance of the cave, causing her brother to die at their hands. Plus there is an awkward bottle containing something that causes Reita to go berserk and change drastically from her usual self to be terrible and scary.

Well, things started to get me so I purposely didn't tell anyone.

It's better to keep it to yourself than to say anything about Reita's personal matters to them, it's disrespectful to do so I purposely hid it.

"alright. Rather than thinking about it, I'd rather sleep."

"I hope nothing happens to him later."

Closing my eyes, I tried to rest in peace while Shilph and Furuhiora guarded Reita's body.

"Where's this? Why am I in the dark?"

Walking through the darkness, I could neither see nor feel anything around me. The quiet and silent atmosphere really made the situation around feel strange.

"That's...."

Somehow the light appeared in the distance which made me run towards where the light was.

"It's..."

"I understand now."

This is not a place where I have died but a place where I see clearly the past that Reita has.

"Sister, don't go!"

"Reita, I want you to leave safely. That's why I want you to really live a life without me huh, Reita."

Finished telling him that, Daffa went outside the cave door which found his body pierced by a spear that came from a group of Goblins attacking him.

"I thought this was going to happen."

If this isn't the past, I can change it. But, this was just a flashback that Reita might have dreamed of so I couldn't interfere in doing anything. On the contrary, I could only resignedly see everything clearly by my own eyes.

"Sister! Brother! Brother!"

Running towards her dead sister, Reita with a sad and guilty expression lunged straight at the group of Goblins.

The goblins who saw him smiled and laughed. In their hands, a spear prepared to pierce his body immediately.

Yet...

"It's...."

As if time were freezing suddenly, I saw that Reita took a small bottle that hit her leg and drank it without hesitation.

"....."

Choking and coughing, Reita felt a tightness and heat on her body.

The sight of how he was sweating all over his body made me believe that it all came from the bottle he was drinking.

Whether it was a forbidden bottle or not, my guess is that the bottle came from a figure I knew all along. Yes, he is none other than the Demon King.

Right after he consumed the bottle, time went back on his way which caused an explosion in the surroundings to leave a group of Goblins stricken with huge chunks of rock coming from the ceiling of the cave.

"....."

"Just a dream."

Looking at the strange scene that was happening, I could confirm that the gaze was directly directed at me.

"Dam. Why should I look at her past after knowing it through her blood?"

It's really weird.

"Is this because of the actions and plans you deliberately made on me, the Demon King?"

If it's true that this was her act, I wonder why she gave Reita a strange bottle. Whether he wanted to help her in solving the problem just like I used to or he just wanted to have fun, I myself did not understand for his actions.

Well, no matter what happens, sooner or later I will be as close as possible to her side to replace her brother, Daffa.

Even though I'm not sure myself, I can only assume that it will be over if we communicate with each other and get to know each other. That's if he wants to do it. Otherwise, I can't force her closer to me even if it's in our mutual interest.

"Regard, come quickly!"

"Tu-wait... What's up, Shilph?"

Shilph who went into the room, pulled and took me to his room.

Just as I was in her room, I noticed that the girl, Reita had regained consciousness and was confused over what was happening making her expression wonder where she was and what she was doing now.

Well, it was only natural that he thought that way because he had lost control of his body before.

But, I didn't think that the two of them only knew about this so I kept quiet without telling them anything that I had experienced something similar like what happened to Reita.

"Where's this? Why am I with you?"

"He seems confused."

"Shilph, I leave this business to you."

"Eh? Why should I?"

I guessed through her expression so I ignored her and left her room to head to the ground floor to grab some breakfast for us to enjoy.

"I hope they get along."

Hoping that they could explain anything to her, I was relieved without needing to explain anything more to her.

In other words, it benefits me while making it easier for me to do ordinary work.
