Ch. 41.1:Sasaki's Self-Toothed (1)

The rising sun tilted to the west signifies that it is already afternoon.

After hunting in the forest by killing several monsters such as green wild boar and white albino toad, Regard and Sasaki walked on the path in the middle of the forest in a quiet and silent condition.

"Sasaki, may I ask you something?"

"Yes. What do you want to ask me?"

Regard's stalled steps made Sasaki come to a standstill behind him. Reversing his body towards Sasaki, Regard was curious as to what really happened to Sasaki about himself.

As Sasaki knew, mana was a power and ability that was reserved by certain people. The reason why adventurers and witches were so powerful was that they were chosen people because having mana in their bodies each made them strong and powerful.

"I? I am the Goddess of Wolf who is proud and exalted by the City of Ilna, a city where the entire population adores me with great respect and gratitude."

The city of Ilna was a city unknown to Regard. Since he always spent his time hunting in the surrounding area and adventuring in the nearby area of Farihiora City, he did not get any information regarding Ilna City.

"Ilna City?"

"Yes. The city where the Demi-humans lived before. Peace, serenity, happiness, laughter, sadness, all felt alive in the City of Ilna."

Walking around Regard, Sasaki who initially explained willingly on her friendly face came to a halt for a moment. His gaze that turned cold and his sharp gaze pointed towards Regard.

Away from where he was, a familiar figure with a familiar voice made Sasaki look back and stare at him sharply and coldly at his presence.

The figure that appeared was the figure of Regard who wore a black robe and a hood that covered his hair fluttering in the wind that blew fiercely.

Regard who walked slowly to Sasaki made his move followed by a young purplish light that shone every time his shoes touched the ground.

Showing the mana deliberately streamed clear through the soles of his feet, Sasaki was surprised that he was able to control it. But something strange could be felt, the darkness that enveloped Regard's body could radiate clearly through the aura behind his cloak.

"You started it first so..."

A pair of mist enveloped both of Regard's arms then turned into the black sword he had already grasped.

Once a slash could be fended off easily by Sasaki who used his sword that came from his bones.

Keeping his distance by retreating and moving away, Sasaki shot a barrage of feathers from his tail that turned into a dagger making it difficult for Regard to approach him.

Although he had difficulty approaching, Regard remained on balance while fending off a barrage of gunfire from Sasaki's tail feathers that turned into dagger blades with both of his black swords.

"Taste this, Man!"

Several red balls are directed at the Regard through the three tailed Sasaki. The medium-sized ball shot rapidly towards Regard who slowly became brighter and turned into a dazzling orange color and exploded.

The soaring black smoke could be seen by Sasaki returning to his sturdy posture making him look more dignified while watching the figure of Regard inside the black smoke that was slowly dissipated by the wind.

"intriguing. Is that how you survive and take out a lot of demons?"

The footsteps that sounded approaching Sasaki, the figure that looked like Regard emitted a reddish glow from one of his eyes that resembled a blaze.

Sasaki, who did not want to be approached by the man, quickly threw several sky-blue orbs that numbered two large balls. The ball turned bright and spread cold air which made the air around become frozen in an instant.

Regard who froze like ice made Sasaki sure that it managed to stop him. Before he could confirm it, he quickly ended the fight using his strongest abilities.
