The Necromancers

The Necromancers
Ch. 36: Parties and Rumors

The day after the incident in the Capital of Finier, the Royal Knights came with horses that arrived at dawn.

"Why didn't anything happen?"

"Is there anything we don't know?"

"I don't know."

A long white-haired girl who was watching closely the confusion over the Finier Capital located in the north was neither destroyed nor burned due to the ferocity of the monsters that occurred a day ago.

Has someone done something?

Initiating to find out, the long white-haired girl with her horse walked slowly to near the gate to peek at the depths of the city she saw.

There was no sign that the destruction was happening whether the building collapsed, the rubble, the black marks of Wyvern, all invisible to him.

"Chairman, can we go in to investigate further?"

"Yes." Yeah."

They rushed to the gate and looked around at the depths that not a single resident of the city inhabited in the northern Finier Capital but only silence and silence.

"....."

One of the Royal Knights who accidentally saw something above the surface near the Adventurers Guild building fell silent for a moment and pondered.

"Chairman, come quickly!"

"Good."

Not only was the long white-haired girl, the other Royal Knights came and started looking at one of the knights who was looking at her.

"It's...."

In front of them was clearly a writing made of dried blood by the name of "The Necromancer" which was printed on the building in the Adventurers Guild.

The Necromancers?

The silent long white haired girl who descended from the horse pondered for a moment.

To him, The Necromancer was a foreign name he had not known all along. There was no sign that the name was derived from the name of the adventurer nor the name he had heard before, on the contrary, the name itself was a new name that was still unknown from where his origins were.

Is this the devil?

The only strong conjecture that could be obtained was the demon that did it.

The fact that the Devil is known as a creature that is able to control the Necromancer class can awaken souls that have died, summon skeletons and undead, and have a high entity than creatures in general.

"Do we have to report this time?"

"No, we'll settle in the Finier Capital in the middle."

"Good."

Though there is a presumption that doing so is demonic, the long white haired girl thought that if she reported this earlier then there was the possibility that something related to The Necromancer and the Devil was still minimal and it could be a misunderstanding that existed in the kingdom where she lived.

The Regard POV

A week had passed since we arrived at the central Finier Capital.

"Hey, did you hear that The Necromancer has done such an amazing thing?"

"really. They've done a great thing that no human can ever do."

"Could they be demons?"

"Don't say anything! They may come from the heroes who came to help us."

Along the way, I, Reita, Fuuya, and Sasaki heard a lot of new rumors going on among the residents during our stay two days ago.

The news itself is none other than our group, The Necromancer.

Well, I guessed it would spread quickly because I deliberately put the name The Necromancer on the Adventurers Guild building that was in the northern Finier Capital. The reason is simple that I want to make the name a mystery as well as a question mark for anyone who sees our name.

Not intending to show off or anything, I did it for the sake of restoring the city that was destroyed earlier.

Although there were some from the ruined Finier Capital in other parts like the west and east, I was unwilling to do anything other than the previous task.

Moreover, if it is required to revive the inhabitants and the Knights of the Kingdom who have been lost due to the ferocity and abomination of the monsters that killed them, I would not use it on them because it is too troublesome.

My only goal is to bring to life someone who I think is stronger in order to gain the strength and ability of the [Copied Skill] that I have to be able to use as well as possible in the future.

Whether there is a higher being of his entity or not, I keep watch for my survival to be awake and safe from the first death that occurred in this world.

In the General Hall in the Kingdom of Finra, all the members of the nobility and the kingdom gathered. Each of their expressions looked complicated between delight, confusion and wonder over what had happened earlier in the past week in the northern Finier Capital.

"Is there anything to do with the devil?"

"As far as we know, there is no sign that a demon appears in the depths of the northern Finier Capital."

"Nothing?"

"Yes." Yeah."

After hearing the accurate information from the Royal Knights reporting the situation, those who heard it carefully fell silent and pondered for a moment.

According to them, humans could not possibly do such a great and amazing thing as restore the destroyed buildings as before and kill the large swarms of Wyverns that were difficult to kill and obliterate by the adventurers of Colorful Adventure, who were not the only ones from the world, and their dead bodies that were not on the surface really made them wonder where it went.

"The Necromancer yes."

On top of his throne, a 50-year-old king held a long white beard who was pondering for a moment.

The presence of The Necromancer is still too minimal information. Whether he's good or bad, the King doesn't know anything that happened to the town a week ago in the northern part of the former monster attack in large numbers at night.

Inside the inn room, the four people returned from the Adventurers Guild after completing a daily mission of little importance.

The mission itself was none other than escorting some guards who were patrolling the northern part of the Finier Capital accompanied by Colorful Adventure.

"I hope they're not aware of our existence huh."

"Yes." Yeah."

"Don't worry, we won't get caught because we won't act at night."

Putting some groceries on the bed in his own room, a white-haired man was sure that they would not be caught making everyone in the room look at him in wonder.

What astonished them was not his words but the self-confidence seen on the man's face.

"Are you sure we won't do the hunt at night?"

"will not. Already a few days ago they were conducting an investigation not about The Necromancer."

"Yes, you're right."

As they recall, the Royal Knights who realized that The Necromancer was a threat that could come at any time would not make them, the members of The Necromancer and its leader to appear themselves in the night hunt.

"What are we gonna do next, Regard?"

"Should we immediately move out of the Finier Capital?"

"No, we'll settle in a few more days."

"Some days?"

"Aren't we going to be watched by them if we go on a night hunt?"

"Yes. But, I intend to find out about what happened a week ago in the Finier Capital."

"You mean a massive attack by a horde of monsters?"

Nodding to Reita's question, Regard believes this has something to do with the demon he had felt when he managed to lick Wyvern's blood that he had hunted before.

According to the memories that Regard had obtained, they were previously wild Wyverns who were coincidentally resting for a moment in the depths of the cave on a hill not far from the Finier Capital. The hill itself was originally no problem whatsoever but due to the presence of a person, they were controlled and dispelled of his consciousness making them forced to attack the Finier Capital viciously and viciously.

That's the information that Regard can get through the blood that he managed to consume.

"Shilph, did you have any previous acquaintance with a Fallen Angel?"

"Fallen Angel? Ah... You mean that guy?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Is there something going on?"

Closing his eyes for a moment, Regard hesitated to talk this out to everyone.

Overall, they did not know anything that had happened in Fairy Forest before regarding the presence that was in Friya and the misunderstanding that had occurred between the three of them, none of them were from Regard, not one of them, Friya and Shilphonia explained it to them.

"Follow me!"

"Good."

Walking out without letting people come along, the two girls Friya and Reita are confused by what the two of them will be talking about. In contrast to them, Fuuya and Sasaki who wanted to cling to Regard's body were seen as sharp with a strong aura of intimidation making them unable to move their legs to exist on either side of Regard.

Instead, the two of them who were silent in fear trembled silently without being able to move in the slightest direction towards Regard.

Reita POVs

What are they talking about, huh?

"I want to know about their conversation."

"No need, Fuuya!"

"Why did you forbid me? Is there something Regard has hidden from us?"

"Either. I just don't want you to end up being hated by her."

"Uh..."

Noting Fuuya who was curled up on the ground while hugging both knees with her hands, she shook her head inside.

Based on the voice I managed to hear, he didn't seem to accept her not knowing anything about the conversation they were about to talk about.

"Don't worry, Fuuya. We'll ask this to you later."

"Yes, you're right."

It's so strange yes.

Unlike usual Brother Regard spoke this kind of stealth from before us, about what he was talking to Shilph about.

Does he express love for her or does he want to make Shilph a fiancee in his life? I myself do not know and do not understand.

Even if the choice was to be with Shilph, I willingly agreed as long as I remained at the first number of his beloved sister in place of the deceased Kak Daffa.

"What's up, Reita?"

"none. I was just thinking what they were doing huh."

"Yes, you're right."

I was curious so I wanted to know about their conversation, but I undo the intention to find out more because it would cause Sister Regard to be angry with me.

•••••

The Regard POV

"Does this have anything to do with that time?"

"Yes, that's it."

Explaining to Shilph about the thing I still did not understand between her relationship with the Fallen Angel we met in Fairy Forest, she quickly smiled and nodded.

"I understand. I'll explain everything to you."

He began to explain early on between the relationship he and the Fallen Angel we met earlier in Fairy Forest.

Starting from the Fallen Angel who helped Shilph previously named Lucifer, an angel who fell to earth for defending Shilph who had killed countless other angels in unbelief and despair knowing his efforts were in vain.

"Since then I thought that Lucifer was dead, but I didn't expect him to join the devil."

I concur.

If she were Fallen Angel like the other side of Shilph's personality, Stephani, Lucifer would not be able to join them because of his strength and ability to do it himself.

But, I'm sure there's a certain reason why he joined and joined the demon army.

"Do we have to tell them this?"

"No, we'll keep it a secret first."

Noticing Shilph who looked doubtful and unsure, I was confused by what he was thinking now.

"Did anything worry you?"

"Yes. I wonder if you've found their hiding place?"

"certain. They were in the ruins of a cave within a hill not far from the Capital of Finier."

"The Hill of Erlin yes."

"Yes." Yeah."

As I recall, Stephani used to live in the Sylvia Ruins as well. He who was bound and locked up really made me believe it was something he didn't want to do before he was finally released by me.

Well, even though the fee is expensive on the monsters guarding it, I can still do it thanks to the Necromancer class.

If I didn't have the Necromancer class, I don't know what it would be like if I were to go on an adventure without having any preparation of both ability and strength, as well as a mature mind, I can die any time I let my guard down.
