The clock keeps ringing and it disturbs Josh's concentration of constantly thinking about Hazel. He was worried about his situation. His mother and father could do nothing. And he can't do anything either. But just being quiet, relaxing, sitting watching television as if nothing had happened, it really sucks.
“I have to help Hazel. I only knew him a day ago, but I seemed to know him very well. Besides there's something he promised he'd tell me.”
Josh kept circling around his room. His father worked in state security and he also knew some tricks to outwit some of the defenses his father's friends had taught him. Actually it should only be done if there is an emergency, but he thinks now is an emergency.
Until six o'clock in the evening Josh had planned a way for Hazel to get out of jail. He had also prepared some items that he had taken from his father's study. He also brought his mother's kitchen knife just in case.
Surely his parents did not know. His ID already showed at eight when he was dressed, maybe tonight's weather will be cold, so Josh picked up his jacket and picked up another one for Hazel later.
At exactly ten in the evening, the entire store was closed, even the restaurant. Because it's been a long time since curfew has been enforced even for all ages. Except for special interests.
The last time he was out at curfew due to a fight that left his body burning all day, his mother was very worried at the time. But it was three years ago and after that he never went outside again after curfew.
But this time he had to break it. Josh had locked up his room so his parents thought he had fallen asleep. All the entrances were locked by his father. But there's one place that everything can't be controlled, the bathroom. There was a window he could open manually.
The clock was already showing at half-eleven, Josh immediately opened the window. The cold air pierced his face, as he set his foot into the grass it felt like he had committed the greatest crime of his life.
As quickly as possible Josh ran away from his house, then at the turn. Prison is very far from here if he walks. But what else does he have to do, get in the car and get caught if he wants to get the prisoner out of jail. Of course not.
The wind kept blowing hard and made Josh shiver a little. He has to ask for help who, even his only friend now is only Hazel. She never had any friends, girls often approached her but she was not interested in the attention-seeking girl.
“Sial, I have to walk seventy kilo meters to reach Hazel?” josh complained to himself. The sound of the car coming from the right made him shocked. Quickly he entered someone's house and went into hiding.
Of course it's a patrol car, yes, a patrol car will stop at the prison. Without a second thought Josh skidded around and got on the back of the car. The stuffy smell made Josh's breath choke and made a sound.
The two policemen stopped instantly and one of them got out of the car, probably to check. So Josh got ready, he was carrying a flazz, but it didn't feel like it was enough to make these officers fall and pass out. Self-defense was not allowed to be used, but it was the only way to make the officer faint.
When the door opened, Josh quickly kicked his leg right in the officer's chest. The officer fell and was unconscious. From the outside Josh heard another officer who was about to call for help.
Josh came down and hit the officer, he groaned, but Josh tried to hit the officer harder. Up to the head, the officer sprawled.
That's the craziest thing Josh ever did, he fought but not against the government and without his bare hands. Those officers he left lying on the street. Josh also picks up one of the chores' clothes, so he looks like an officer.
Time goes on, before he approaches the prison gate Josh has abandoned his car in a dark, narrow alley. He has a plan that he thinks will work.
Josh took the knife he had brought from the kitchen. Then he injured part of his body to make it look real. He also scratched his hand with a knife, blood poured out, then he stuck it to his cheek and his other hand. Complete is the disguise.
Josh rushed to the prison gate. There's a camera in front of the gate. Josh spoke through the camera. “Hey, quickly open the door! Someone attacked me and took my car. My friend got hurt there, he used martial techniques. Standby five!” Shouted Josh clearly.
A five-standby is never used if it does not threaten the government. But when Josh said as soon as the alarm went off, the gate opened. The officers scatter out complete with flazz and anti-flazz.
Josh ran in with a face full of blood. Everyone seems to be busy picking up guns. But among those people no one suspected Josh. Josh quickly runs to the control room, so he can find out where Hazel is.
From behind her iron room Hazel could hear the sound of the alarm sounding loudly, there were people speaking through the microphone indistinctly. His forehead shriveled, he did not know what was happening now, nor could he see anything behind this room.
This prison is not like the prison of his time. With one bed and a small bathroom as well as an automatic hole that can remove food. It looks modern, but still it's a prison, it's not tasty and uncomfortable.
Hazel was sitting on the edge of her bed, the sound of alarms constantly burning made her ears unable to bear to hear it. If it's a fire alarm, surely all the prisoners will be issued. The door of the room was open, someone was standing there, but it didn't look like any other officer. This one is younger.
“Josh! How did you get here? just wait! You're the one who made all this mess?” asked Hazel who stood up from her bed.
“Maybe, but I'm here to free you. You have an appointment for me to tell you something.”
“So just because of that?” hazel asked, then he frowned.
“Not really, hurry up! Before the people here realized I was the problem-maker.”
