The Versatile
Chapter 38's

Hazel crept into it, took it, and began to pedal it. What makes the journey even further is the officers who are always patrolling around the road. And that should keep Hazel on the road.

“Sial! Why do they keep going down the road I'm on?” lament Hazel.

It's been thirty minutes Hazel has been going around the road to get there. Eventually he arrived at a small alley. Hazel led her bike, she didn't choose to leave her bike here, she still needed her bike to walk home.

Right at a door that Hazel remembers, she knocks on it slowly. Hazel took off her glasses, just to be polite. Someone opened the door, just as Haikallah expected.

“Come fast!” Haikal let Hazel in. The man was wearing jeans and a plain white t-shirt. Obviously it makes Haikal's body shape visible, his arm muscles bulge out and make his wear tight-fitting.

Hazel wondered, why do most muscular men always wear such clothes? tight clothes and accentuate their muscles. It was as if the clothes were their second skin. A lot of women like muscular men and one of them is Hazel.

Hazel couldn't bear to not stare at Haikal and his muscular body. But Hazel tries to take her eyes off Haikal.

“Where are your friends?” ask Haikal later.

Hazel tried to stare at him so as not to see that he was taking his eyes off. “Why? Because you want to catch us all?” hazel asked back in a mocking tone.

“You think this is a trap?” Haikal sat in the chair and crossed his arms around his chest. “Of course not! I was once on the wrong road, but all that had passed when―” his words were cut off.

“When you see your country has fallen apart?” again Hazel tried to stare at Haikal. “I know, your love for this country is so strong. My father is the same, he loves his country.”

“Sorry about everything. Olivia offered me something I couldn't refuse. But I understand now, why he offered me that.”

Hazel smiled mockingly at Haikal. “After everything you just realized it?” Hazel rolled her eyes.

“Your father works for the world government and Olivia knows that. When your father found a place up there―” Haikal has not finished his sentence.

Hazel interrupted Haikal's words. “So you know about the world above?”

“Yes, but your father never told you where to go.” he replied. Then he continued. “Olivia has ambitions to bring down governments around the world and wants to make it a tourism for the past and future.”

“Yes I know. He told me,” said Hazel. “ But tourism? She crazy? He thought the future and the past were places he could visit?”

“I know that sounds crazy. And that is the truth.” Haikal straightened his hair. “When your father will be given an forgetful drug, it turns out he ran away and teamed up with Olivia.”

“My father is working with Olivia? I guess she likes working alone?”

“He had no choice. Stuck in the future and you'll never be born or she goes back in time and helps Olivia.”

Hazel took a chair near her to sit down. He preferred not to sit near Haikal in the meantime. “I understand. If we go to the future and change it then the future does not exist in the past and vice versa.”

“Ya , like that,” Haikal said as he nodded slowly.

“How about the suppressant? So everyone is given forgetfulness medicine so they don't remember the world over?”

“I don't really know about it. According to what I've heard, the forgetfulness drug is a drug that is given along with the health tests we do once a month, but I also don't know if it's true or not.”

The atmosphere changed quietly for a moment. Hazel makes eye contact with Haikal. It was as if the man felt what Hazel felt. Hazel quickly wears her sunglasses and detects the presence of someone with a flazz, clearly a police officer. There were about five dozen officers approaching this house.

“You set me up? I was expecting it.” Hazel threw her winning smile.

“What? I didn't frame you!” Haikal stood up from his chair. “What do you see?” ask Haikal.

“Five dozen officers complete with their flazz,” replied Hazel a little confused.

“I swear I didn't call them!” haikal said a little panicked. “Come! I know the way out of here, we're not going to fight them.”

“Why? Because we're outnumbered? Anyway why should I trust the person who has made me almost die twice and tortured me?” ask Hazel cynically.

“Trust me I am on your side now. When I tortured you it was just an order from my superiors. Anyway if I set you up I can't possibly tell you all that!”

Hazel thought for a second, she could go out and fight five dozen officers with her bare hands. But the problem is that Haikal knows everything. He also knew more about the government, there was no other choice but to take it with him.

“Oke, I'm coming with you. But if this time you frame me or you cooperate with the government, I will not hesitate to kill you!” threaten Hazel to Haikal.

“It was not a good deal, but I agree,” Haikal said. “Again we break even now, you have punched me in the face until my nose bleeds,” Haikal added.

“Ha, that hurts right?” Hazel smiled cunningly.

Haikal went up to the roof. Hazel looked around, there were no stairs to climb down or anything like that. “No stairs, how do we get down?” ask Hazel.

“We don't go down the stairs here. We have to jump to the other roof, if we go down here they will definitely catch us downstairs,” Haikal said. He started jumping from the roof to another roof.

Hazel was stunned for a moment. He had to jump from roof to roof like a ninja. It's more like a suicide plan than an escape plan. But what Haikal said was true, there was no choice. If they go down there, they'll see them down and it'll be easier to catch them.

Hazel started to slowly move her legs. Haikal had taken the lead, while Hazel took five minutes to step on one leg. Not because he was afraid of heights, but because he was afraid of slipping.

The sound of kai's footsteps grew closer behind him. Without thinking, Hazel zoomed in and went faster. Haikal had been at the end of the roof of the fifth person's house. Hazel tries to catch up to him faster.

“Hazel!” call Haikal from the end. “I parked my car here. Fast!”

Hazel finally reached the roof of the last house. He went down the stairs next to the house and tried not to make a sound. When Hazel got off Haikal was in the car and started the engine. The sound of the engine was very striking. Hazel quickly ran into the car

The officers ran towards them. Haikal planted his gas deeply. They were walking very fast, let alone this night. The streets are their own.

“Ke direction here!” hazel said for a moment.

Haikal slammed the steering wheel to the left. “What's up? Where are we going?” ask Haikal.

“We should bring my friends too,” replied Hazel.

Haikal glanced at the middle rearview chaos, the officers following them. They should make a diversion before picking up the other friends. Hazel analyzes the situation with her glasses.

“Hazel!” haikal shouted at Hazel. “Where are your friends?”

“Protate there! then turn left, enter the narrow alley over there!”

Haikal followed Hazel's instructions. From behind the officers were still following them. The officers' car is bigger than their car, so they won't be able to get in. But they have to be quick.

“Hamish! Yosher! Quick ride!” hazel shouted from the car. He almost forgot that Spencer and Nissa were there too.

Without a second thought they ran to Hazel. Hamish was a little surprised by what he saw. “Wait! Do you believe this guy?” asked Hamish in doubt.

“The story is long. Quickly log in!” answer Hazel.

Everyone got in the car, but not Spencer. Hazel looked at the man as if he was messing around. “You're also Spen–Sir!” hazel orders with her pretentious english tone.

Spencer knew this wasn't the right time to fight or be jealous, but he felt like he wasn't here or it was just his over-indulgence. Spencer got into the car with an expressionless face.

“I think you're being hunted,” joked Josh from inside the car.

“I don't think you guys have a safe place here anymore,” said Nissa.

Hazel turned her back and looked at Nissa. “Yes, but we still have temapt up there right?” ask Hazel.

Nissa looked at Hazel, their eyes completely contrasting. Hazel with her green eyes and Nissa with her brown eyes, like grass wrapped in chocolate. All eyes finally stared at Hazel including Haikal who was driving.

“We're going upstairs?” ask Josh.

“If below we are not accepted, then we will be accepted above. The enemy of our enemy is our friend,”, Hazel said philosophically.

“Then where is the place?” haikal asked Hazel. The girl did not know where it was.

“You know the big dam that is near the forest?” Spencer asked suddenly.

Haikal looked at him through the middle glass. She realizes that her best friend is very similar to Spencer, even looking like twins. Maybe because he saw Spencer one time and then Spencer never saw him again.

“I don't think there's a dam near it.” Haikal frowned.

“At first I would have thought that way too.” Spencer crossed his arms in the chest. “ Believe in me, I know the way,” he added.

Haikal followed Spencer's orders. The officers' car was far behind, barely even visible. Haikal is good at driving cars, he's like a god.
