The Versatile
Chapter 41's

“Sial! We must have been the number one fugitive in the world,” Haikal complained.

“Welcome to the number one fugitive group in the world,” Josh said. This isn't the first time he's been the number one fugitive. Previously they had also been designated the number one fugitive by Haikal.

Four guys with one girl. In his day Hazel deserves to be vigilant, but here only Spencer is more dangerous than others. They ran south, trying to escape all the possibilities.

Hazel likes to run, but not because she's being chased. Escape is always a mainstay when being outnumbered. Hazel hates this part, she always hates escapism. Makes him look weak, because he has no power.

“While only one day we get a place to stay. Now have to stay on the road again? Shitty!” Josh kicked the ground.

“Ya is so annoying!” reply Hazel.

Among the four men, it was Josh who had the same emotions as Hazel. They are the same age, so even though they were born in different times, they have the same emotional age.

Haikal and Hamish are going through some awkward times. The two men had been friends for a long time, but only this time did they feel this awkward way.especially after Haikal betrayed Hamish and his friends.

Spencer is lonely without Nissa. Hazel doesn't want to talk to him for now, because it would break her heart. They are all heartbroken and need a vacation. But this is the reality they have to face.

“Wait!” hazel said suddenly. “We don't need to run away!” added Hazel.

“No! We gotta go! Come on Josh, Haikal, Hamish,” Spencer said. It's like he knows what Hazel thinks.

“No! Really, I knew my idea would work. Spencer come!” Hazel pulled the man's arm.

They look at each other. Green eyes that Spencer had not seen for a long time. “I believe in you Hazel. But this time you have to trust me. I don't want us to get killed here!” Spencer releases Hazel's hand.

Hazel knew what she was doing would work. He has a million ways to succeed, even if it takes a long time. Now that Spencer was the truest, it all followed Spencer to get away from the city. Hazel doesn't want any casualties and stuff. It's possible that people who live here, like Nissa, have been tortured to get information about them.

“You know? I'm the woman here.I make the decision for myself, not you or you Spencer!” Hazel looked at Spencer who had led their way.

Everyone just stared silently at Hazel. She was no ordinary girl who cared nothing about her surroundings. He has a high sense of care. And of course everyone has their own choices, even if it's bitter for some. But if the choice was right, why should he be afraid to take it.

“I know if I fight you one by one, maybe I'll win. But if the four of you attack me at once maybe I will lose. This time I chose my own way. I'll wait till night and sneak in alone without you guys cowards.” Hazel walked in a different direction. He'll be looking for a hiding place until nightfall.

Hazel was right, these men only cared about their life and death without thinking about the dead for hiding them. Josh stops walking after Spencer and follows Hazel now. Hamish and Haikal as well. Spencer doesn't know what to do. But eventually the man followed Hazel as well.

Hazel followed the broken pieces of rock from the building in front of her. The building looked fragile, even looking like it was about to collapse. Hazel walked towards the old building, the others following behind her.

While inside, Hazel felt the hot air and the smell of cement and dust all over the place. Hazel jangled to avoid the ruins of the building.

“So why did you choose this nearly collapsed building to hide? The building over there seems more feasible to live in,” said Josh who is now beside Hazel.

“Of course because it is worth inhabited, surely they will look for us there. This place they will definitely not check, because they will not want to die hit by the ruins of old buildings.” Hazel was looking for her emergency staircase.

The ladder is made of iron, not brittle, but rusty. Haikal and Hamish were still in a stiff atmosphere between them. It seems like they need to talk to each other and someone has to start. Spencer, just followed behind them. Hazel recalls, Spencer still has a debt telling her about Olivia and after she disappears all of a sudden.

They climbed the stairs to the top floor. The glass has been partially shattered, but there are still some that are not destroyed. When viewed from inside, this place seems to have been a hotel. There are so many rooms and some mattresses that can still be used. There was also a portion of the room that had fused together because the dividing wall had been destroyed.

Hazel went around looking for items that could still be used or that could be burned for them to make a campfire. The air will get colder at night, especially if it rains. They must be ready for any situation. It never hurts to prepare something that is not necessarily the case.

Hamish goes to the roof to see the situation outside and Haikal follows him. Maybe they both need time to talk. Hamish arrived at the roof. He went to his side and slightly lowered his head to be invisible. Unfortunately he did not have binoculars to see more clearly.

At the same time Haikal followed Hamish. He's down next to Hamish. At first they did not talk to each other. But Haikal admitted it was his fault that made their friendship loose as it is now.

“I'm sorry for getting you almost killed and making you a fugitive.” Haikal said later.

Hamish was silent and his eyes were still watching.

“I know I was wrong, but our friendship is not worth breaking just because of my stupid mistake.” Haikal is still trying to apologize to Hamish.

“Hey! You think I won't forgive you?” ask Hamish later.

“I think so,” replied Haikal.

“Come! We're men, not women who have to say sorry to apologize. Not saying sorry doesn't mean I don't forgive you. Comeon! We're on guard, not a vent session!” Hamish chuckled a little.

“You're right. But why have you been quiet since?” ask Haikal again.

“It can't be if I'm silent?” ask Hamish back.

“Only, it's a little strange for you,” Haikal replied. They were laughing together at the same time.

It was getting night and the air started to pierce the skin. Hazel was right, they had combed this part, but they did not enter this nearly collapsed building. The usually friendly night above is a night filled with tension with the emergence of people from below who bring their Flazz.

“Usually at night the streets will be crowded, more crowded than in the morning,” Spencer told Hazel.

Hazel looked at the sky through a large hole in the room. The sky that he could not see when he was down there, without the moon and stars at night.
