At three o'clock in the morning, someone knocked on Hazel's room, glancing from the door of her room. There's no one. As he returned to his bed, someone knocked back. Hazel quickly opened it, thinking it was just a prankster. Five times he knocked on the door. A letter was left under his door, he picked it up and closed his room back.
“Meet me now downstairs, I know what you're looking for,” Hazel said. He wasn't sure he wanted to see the guy, but he knew Hazel was looking for something. If this fellow really knew what he was looking for, then he would indeed have to meet him. But it's different if that person doesn't say that he knows what Hazel is looking for.
He took his jacket and put on his trousers. It was pretty cold that morning. Who the person has awakened once in the morning, obviously the person should have an important reason. Everyone's still asleep, and so are Josh and Spencer. At first Hazel wanted to wake them up, but after remembering the incident Hazel abandoned her intentions.
The only safe way is the stairs. But it's too early to exercise, so Hazel prefers the elevator. There was no one in the elevator, of course who was the one who got up this early to go out. Hazel pressed a button on the ground floor writing. Just on the third floor, the elevator suddenly stops and makes Hazel panic. But he can overcome his panic, panic can not make him think clearly or do something that makes sense. So he tried to calm down.
“Quiet Hazel, you won't sleep in the elevator!” he told himself. When the elevator lights went out, Hazel just fell silent and moved away from each side of the elevator. Is there someone who is working on it. Or someone wanted to kidnap her.
It was getting darker, and even Hazel had to round her eyes in order to see her surroundings, obviously it would be useless. Hazel hears a stomp from the elevator, whether it's Josh or Spencer who wants to help her. The roof of the elevator ceiling was open, someone came down from up there.
“Follow me if you want to survive!” said a man. Hazel still can't see anything. So he followed the man. The man then climbed back up the elevator and he extended his hand to Hazel. Hazel. After getting out of the elevator, Hazel tried to narrow her eyes due to the bright lights.
A man in black pants and a black T-shirt. His body was burly and from under his clothes Hazel could see the bulletproof vest the man was wearing. This guy's definitely not an ordinary guy, he's got a bulletproof vest that's certainly not necessary here. No bullets since flazz replaced all the guns in the whole world. The man went up the stairs, Hazel followed the man. The road is in a hurry and Hazel has to run to match her steps.
“Did you put a letter in front of my room?” ask Hazel later.
The man was silent, then replied, “it's not time to ask. You must come with me before it's too late!”
“But I don't know you! And my two friends are still here and they don't know that I'm leaving.”
Someone came from under the stairs, that person was carrying something that hazel knew. Handguns. “Why would someone carry a gun in this age? isn't the gun no longer used?” hazel said in shock.
The man kicked the man who was holding the gun, then another man appeared. He used his martial technique and the man fell down. For someone who lives in this age, his martial technique is quite good, even arguably he is quite proficient.
“Hey, where did you learn martial arts techniques like that? oh yeah, and what's your name? I don't want to go with strangers. So at least I know your name and you're not a stranger anymore.” Their paths are getting rushed. Now that they're outside the hotel, they're out the back of the hotel.
“Haikal, that's my name. We don't have much time. We need to find a safe place. Your friends are safe, we'll meet them later.”
“Wait! Is this a trap? Why do you know me?” Hazel stopped for a moment.
Haikal stopped in his way. “Will I explain later! We need to hide now!”
“As far as you are!” Now they walk on the sidewalk. “The safest place is my home! so we're going to my house!”
It was very dark that night, Hazel could not see clearly which direction she was heading. But the man, he was waiting for a house, a house that was quite remote. They pass many houses that are only five centimeters away from other houses. It does look very dense, but somehow it looks very comfortable.
Until he reached Haikal's house, Hazel could say nothing more. Now three o'clock past thirty, it will be dawn soon, but Hazel is tired enough not to lie down and sleep. Haikal lets him sleep with his bed while Haikal is outside. He wanted to think about Spencer and Josh, how much he was worried about them. But Hazel believes they're okay. The thought continued to be reflected in his mind until he imagined about Haikal.

That morning Hazel's head was dizzy when she woke up. The smell of cooking was smelled from outside the room, then he remembered there was no one who cooked. That means in this age. Hazel comes out of the room and gets Haikal cooking, Hazel doesn't know what she's cooking, but it smells good and makes Hazel sit at her dinner table. It was as if waiting for the cooking to finish Haikal cooking.
“You're up? Quickly prepare, this morning we will go to the headquarters where I work,” Haikal put the cuisine on the plate and put it on the table. “It's fried rice, you're gonna love this. Maybe when in America your food is instant, right? Here are not all instant foods, some of us still eat foods that need to be chewed.”
“Yeah, I think people's thinking now is just an instant all right? Though food like this is very tasty.”
“After breakfast, get ready soon. I don't want us to be late!” haikal's orders.
“Ready pack!” hazel replied instantly, as if Haikal were his superior. After breakfast Hazel did as Haikal ordered. He got dressed and after that they slid towards Haikal headquarters.
The base is in the city center, only it is protected by strict security, almost the same as the CIA headquarters in America. But the difference with the ancients is, today uses IDs that are on their wrists, so it is easy to recognize.
They're heading for a room. Given these circumstances, remind Hazel of Versatile's safest place in the whole world. But this place is not underground.
“Yesterday we were tailing someone. This person is the one we have been looking for for the past two years. When we wanted to catch this man, he met someone and talked about a time machine, ” Haikal was silent, then looked at Hazel. “We postponed his arrest and found out what he was working on and we found your name appearing, but strangely your name we did not find in all identities.” Haikal looked back at Hazel.
Hazel was a little nervous and surprised, but she tried to hide it. “Hmm, that's because my identity bracelet is being fixed and my dad turned it off.”
“It's not that easy to turn off Hazel's identity! You better be honest with me, what are they looking for?”
