The Versatile

The Versatile
Chapter 6's

Their journey was quite long, just like when they left. But this time Hazel sat next to Spencer, it was Thania's blessing. But this makes Hazel look stiff and she doesn't want to talk. Especially after Spencer and Laura she left them alone.

“So, how was your night at Thania?” ask Spencer at last.

“Fun,” says Hazel briefly, without looking to Spencer.

“Oh yes? Me either. We had dinner together and we talked a lot about ourselves,” continued Spencer.

This time Hazel looked at Spencer. “Wow.” In her heart Hazel wanted to say 'I left you two and you guys had a good time?′ but Hazel locked her mouth to say that and she'd rather say something else.

“I too. Thania has a nice older brother, she is kind and friendly. We talked late into the night and I was very happy to be near him,” Hazel told a lie. He only had a little chat with Akmal and their conversation was only this morning at breakfast.

Hazel and Spencer don't talk anymore. Hazel kept busy herself to keep in inner contact with the other siblings, until she reached America. Spencer helps Laura carry her belongings as usual and Hazel just stares in annoyance. Besides, she doesn't want to look stupid and Thania needs help to get her bag. Hazel would rather be a good sister than a spoiled girl to carry her bag with.

“Thania do you need help? Let me bring you your bag.” Hazel glanced at Spencer.

“Thank you,” reply Thania.

“By pleasure.” Hazel smiled with a contrived smile of course.

Their journey really felt tense. There was not a single word on the way to Versatile. Even Thania and Lauren didn't speak a word. Thirty minutes later they arrived and Spencer left. I don't know where he's going, but Hazel has no intention of looking for him. He must still be in this building anyway.

“Welcome back in versatile. You've done a great job, Hazel. Now you must come with us. Your friends are waiting,” a woman who is the same as the first time she saw here.

“Mrs? All this time I've seen you but I don't know your name,” Hazel told the woman. They walked towards room thirty. The woman stopped right in front of the room and turned to look at Hazel.

“Olivia Ford.” Then Olivia turned around and opened the door.

“Ford?” ask Hazel. But Olivia didn't answer. Of course he's got a last name for Ford, maybe he's Spencer's wife. It's fitting that he always looks close to Spencer. This time Hazel has to end it, at first she might like Spencer, but when she finds out she already has a wife, she has to forget about it.

Hazel, Thania, and Laura were silent. They saw people who had faces similar to theirs. And they have also gathered.

“How did you get here?” ask Hazel in doubt.

They all look similar, only the age difference makes them less twin-looking.

“Someone keeps talking in my head. Saying versatility, and giving an address,” the girl who looked to be the same age as Thania started talking.

“And the strange thing is, when you hear that person talking you are not sleeping or dreaming,” another continued. He looks older than the others.

They all looked at Hazel and they were convinced that it was Hazel's voice in their head.

“That's your voice, right? What's your name?” ask the blonde girl.

“Hazel Skylar,” Hazel extends her hand. The girl welcomed Hazel's hand.

“Amber Kruger, 14 years.”

Everyone followed the girl, they got to know each other.

“Carol William, 24 years.” And she's the oldest girl here.

“Catherine Foster, 16 years.”

“Rhona Lewis, 12 years old. I'm the youngest here,” the girl smiled happily.

The introduction was over, that day Hazel felt tired to practice. He's trained enough for now. While her friends are doing some physical and psychological tests, Hazel goes to her room.

He took off his jacket and hung it. Then he washed his face and lay in his bed. His eyes felt sleepy, he was indeed sleep deprived. Especially when he was in Indonesia he had to wake up very early. Now his mind drifted to Spencer. He didn't see her again after he left her when he arrived at Versatile. She thought about looking for Spencer, but she eventually abandoned her intentions after she recalled what Spencer had told her about her day together with Laura.

Hazel hates the girl, she is careless to act as if she is helpless and fragile. And it always beguiled Spencer to help him. Hazel wouldn't do anything like that to get her attention. He thinks it's a disgusting cheap thing.

“Based on cheap girls, you should be sent to hell!” Hazel punched her pillow and threw it as if it was Laura.

Hazel continued to do so and shouted indistinctly. Suddenly someone knocked on the door.

“Hazel, what are you doing?” carol shouted from outside.

Hazel quickly ran and opened the door. “Sports is light,” replied Hazel while adjusting her breathing.

“Oh. Spencer told us to practice together. Now!”

“Alright I'll catch up.” Hazel shut the door again, she didn't ask where. But he knows exactly where the physical training ground is.

Five minutes later Hazel walked down the corridor in search of a practice room. Not so easy, but she still remembers the place. When they get there, they're all warming up and Hazel joins them. Spencer stood in front of them, crossed his arms in the chest. But that doesn't mean he's angry. After explaining what their rehearsal was today Spencer started it.

“Hazel, because you're weird you're going against me.” Spencer's still crossing his arms.

“What? That's not fair, I'm here to train too,” Hazel denied.

′Dam! I always couldn't stand it when she raised her eyebrows, Hazel's inner self in her heart.

After that they started the fight.

This time the exercises are made as best as possible so that Spencer knows what are the disadvantages and advantages of them. A room made into a labyrinth and they have to find a gun to shoot their enemy. Of course not shot really, it's just practice. Who can shoot first wins.

The fight begins with Carol and Laura. Laura is physically better, but Carol has her own strategy to win. The first second it was seen that Carol was very agile, while Laura seemed to be perplexed to find out which path she should go through. But Laura found the gun first.

“I'll bet Carol will win,” whispered Hazel to Thania who was taking a serious look.

“I think Laura's great too. He was smart to find his weapon faster,” Thania whispered to Hazel slowly.

A few minutes later Carol appeared, Laura behind him with five colorful paints on her body. His face showed his frustration.

“I told you, definitely Carol,” whispered Hazel again to Thania with a smile of satisfaction.

The battle between Thania and Rhona. The fight ended with Thania as the winner. Amber and Catherine. A few minutes later Catherine came out with a smile, but she lost. Amber won. And finally the most awaited fight between Hazel and Spencer.

Hazel is unsure about how to fight Spencer, even though she once defeated him the first time they met. Hazel punched her in the stomach. But not necessarily Hazel won this time. But he has to be sure because this is the right time to show that Hazel is stronger than he thought.

“Well Hazel, are you ready?” ask Spencer who's ready on the front line.

“When I'm ready!”

Fighting began. Spencer is in front, and Hazel hasn't found her weapon yet.

Thirty seconds later Spencer finds his weapon, Hazel runs up to him in secret. A board that restricts them Hazel penetrates by jumping it. They wrestled there. Spencer's gun fell off, but he tried to get it. Hazel kicked the gun. They wrestle again, Hazel trying to stand up to reach the gun, but Spencer pulls her. The fight happened so fiercely. I don't know who will win it.

When Spencer pulls his leg, Hazel kicks him. Spencer bounced away. Hazel then stood up and ran towards the gun. Spencer almost lost by falling near a tree. There's a hole nearby, and Spencer believes there's something in it. Spencer quickly put his hand in and got a gun. It must be Hazel's undiscovered property.

At the same time Hazel gets her gun and shoots it, and Spencer shoots her. Fire them right into each other's chests. And they're a series.

Hazel walked slowly toward Spencer who was still sitting near the tree. Hazel extended her hand and they walked out together.

All his friends were waiting for him. Waiting for who wins. But when Hazel and Spencer came out, they all fell silent. They both have their chest paints.

“Calain series?” carol asks Hazel and Spencer who are walking together.

“I should have won, she was lucky to find a gun that I had not found,” Hazel explained to everyone.

“Yes, I'm lucky. But I found the gun first.”

“Already, now is not a game anymore,” said Rhona.

“Yes, the exercise is complete and this is your last exercise.” Spencer put the gun on the desk.

“Which is right, I just trained and now it's done,” Catherine said a little angrily.

Hazel put the gun on the desk. Following his other friends stood in front of Spencer.

“Yes I know. But your time is not much. Tomorrow we will try to do the procedure.”

“What procedures? What do you mean here?” ask Thania. Everyone in this room is waiting for Spencer's answer, and so is Hazel.

Spencer licked his lips. Then start talking. “Hazel's father has left a secret that no one knows but him. But then he died suddenly without anyone being told his secret. And we believe the secret lies with Hazel and all of you.”

They all seemed to be digesting Spencer's words. Amber and Rhona's faces looked tense but listening. Others only look flat.

“Seven years ago his father Hazel made an object that could connect the minds of his seven virgins,” Spencer continued.

“Wait! My dad did this too? and meet the seven twin? Why don't I know?” Hazel folded her hands.

“Yes, but after that he made a tool that can only be used with one person. Your father developed the device and he didn't have to find his other six travelers to help him. Just for starters.”

“If hazel's father has developed it, then why should we be involved. Of course he can use that tool right?” ask Carol.

“That's the problem. We don't know where the tool is, all we found was the first tool. A tool that can only connect all seven twins.”

Everyone understood and they were willing to help Hazel find the secret. Their procedure will run tomorrow, they should all be in good health.

Finally the training was dissolved. Hazel and the others headed for their room. The fight was making Hazel tired. Moreover, the fight was very fierce, he had to face Spencer who had been trained.

Hazel locked the door to her room, she didn't want anyone to bother her at the moment. Spencer is no exception. Hazel went to the bathroom and washed her face, then she changed her clothes. The soft mattress made him not refuse to be closed for a while.
