At about three o'clock in the morning, the car arrived at the scene. The atmosphere is still dark so the beach does not look at all because this beach is also a local beach, not a tourist beach, there are no lighting lights there.

Taehyung had already let go of the seat belt and wanted to get out of the car because he had heard the roar of the waves, very excited to get closer to the beach, but Jungkook held his arm.

“We can sleep for a while until waiting for sunrise,” Jungkook said, “Out like this is too cold, Tae.”

“Ohh, okay.” It seemed Taehyung was too excited on his first trip to realize that it was still dawn.

Jungkook evaporated wide. He set an alarm on his phone at half-time 6am, the perfect time to see the sunrise. “We still have about 3 hours. We can sleep first.”

Taehyung nodded. Each of them wore a coat to sleep comfortably. This trip was indeed simple because Jungkook did not prepare anything. He just wanted to leave without any equipment. So spontaneous because Jungkook feels Taehyung needs to get ‘healing’ for a moment from the conditions of the last few months.

“Wah there are stars..” mumbled Taehyung plain when he could see the stars scattered in the sky from the position of the car bench that has been put to sleep.

Jungkook looked over and smiled. Looks like Taehyung likes to see new sights like this huh.

Both of them eventually fell asleep because they were already very sleepy. Right at half-six in the morning Jungkook's cell phone alarm was ringing fast. Taehyung who woke up first, Jungkook did not wake up because he was not a morning person. Taehyung rubbed his face, he was amazed when he saw the morning scene in front of him, seeing the sunrise at sea.

“Jungkook.” Taehyung shakes Jungkook's shoulder to wake up. The human finally woke up, still half conscious and turned off the alarm on his phone.

“Oh is morning..” said Jungkook in a hoarse voice. Taehyung nodded his already impatient spirit to get out and enjoy the beautiful scenery closer.

Both of them got out of the car, the air was actually very cold stinging but it did not melt Taehyung's spirit. His mouth opened in amazement looking at such a beautiful horizon, looking at the sunlight that was slowly emerging. Jungkook has a camera in his hand, he will not miss his pleasure in photography.

“Beautiful..” muttered Taehyung when they were standing on the beach, not close enough from the waves licking to the beach because they did not bring a change of clothes at all, he said, the water must be cold anyway.

Taehyung inhaled a deep breath of air, as if he was a human who needed to breathe. But it felt so fresh, his soul was so light just looking at the trivial scenery that he could actually see every morning. Maybe this different atmosphere makes others, they are on the beach and Taehyung feels like he is being healed through this small trip.

Jungkook smiled as he photographed the horizon. This beautiful scenery is worth documenting, not in vain he drove overnight. The view this morning is absolutely beautiful, the photos he took are very good without the need for filters here and there again.

Jungkook also occasionally aimed his camera at Taehyung, taking pictures of the vampire enjoying the sunrise. Taehyung is indeed very photogenic, he is good when photographed even though he is unconscious.

After a while Jungkook finally stopped taking pictures, just enjoying without a word this scenery: the shining sun, the blue sky, the waves that were pounding beautifully. There are no words to be said.

The two sat on a wooden bench on the beach while the sun continued to rise and people began to appear for activities.

“Jungkook, you know, no, when I was traumatized to choose to hide myself and let a new personality emerge, just stupefied in my mind to live a new life with a new name, Taehyung.” muttered Taehyung. “I controlled my mind and made sure my new personality thought of himself as Taehyung.”

“Hmm.. Why did you name yourself Taehyung?” ask Jungkook slowly.

“Because... because what I think of is thaeyang (\= in Korean means sun). After being locked up for a long time, I finally saw the refracted sunlight from the window, that was all I thought about. And I'll give you my name Taehyung.”

“You know, Tae, if the meaning of the name Taehyung is all the wishes will be realized,” said Jungkook, “That's a very good name.”

Taehyung gave a smile, relieved to hear Jungkook's words. “At that time I was rejecting myself as a mutant vampire, I denied myself and allowed new characters to appear to hide my fears and traumas. I want to live a normal, simple life. Taehyung's innocent character is perfect for that, right? For five years I let him live, no matter if Taehyung has no friends, no matter when people hurt and bully him. Because I myself feel that's one way to hide myself.”

Jungkook held Taehyung's shoulder, kneeling him slowly trying to provide support. It must have been a very complex and heavy event back then for Taehyung.

“Until finally Taehyung desperately wants a change in his life.” Taehyung laughed softly. “He wants a true friend. He was too naive to be aware of the rejections he had received in his old school because of how different his character was from modern life. And until Taehyung meets you and Jimin.”

“Trust me, Tae, if my life changes after meeting you. I say this in a good sense yes.”

Taehyung smiled full of nostalgia. “At first I underestimated Taehyung's desire, assuming that he must have failed again in getting friends. But I didn't expect his hard work to bear fruit, just like the meaning of the name you said. His wish materialized. He really made a true friend, well, despite having to go through many sacrifices and injuries.”

Jungkook chuckled, recalling those past memories now made him smile and laugh. Long twists and turns but lead them to be as true as they are now.

“At first I refused and felt I was living for myself alone, but after going through a lot I realized that the people around me were making me strong. I'm very lucky.”

“Are you relaxed now, Tae?” ask Jungkook, “I invited you to go to this place because I want you to be able to refresh. So many things happen emotionally and mentally, I know it's hard for you even if you're a vampire. I want to help you in a simple way like this. I wish you could take your load off and not think that you're endangering the clan or the people who love you.”

Taehyung smiled. “Gomawo, Jungkook. I've never traveled before and I didn't think it would have a big effect on me. It's like a healer, my soul becomes lighter, Kook.”

Jungkook replied with a smile and patted the vampire's head. “I'm glad to hear it, although all this is sudden and sorry because I didn't prepare anything.”

“Haha it’s okay. You know that I'm a vampire, I'm not spoiled.”

Jungkook laughing. Along with that Taehyung's phone rang, the two instantly fell silent. It's kind of an unwanted distraction let alone whether who's calling, hoping it's not some unexpected human troublemaker.

Taehyung took out the phone from his coat pocket. His jaw hardened when he saw the name of the caller, the syndicate's big boss. Jungkook was back in frustration, it could be Dongwook calling in the morning like this even right disturbing this good moment.

Taehyung said nothing. He picked up the call and immediately blocked Dongwook's number so that he could no longer reach him. Taehyung does as Jungkook hopes: block the syndicate's Big Boss numbers.

“I have blocked it.” Taehyung said as if reporting to Jungkook who was still dumbfounded. Jungkook had seen it.

The two of them were still sitting there enjoying a beautiful morning. Taehyung felt like he was re-charged, he felt the stress inside him was gone. He begins to believe he is not a monster, he believes that his life is not limited to being a monster, but there are many other things he can do, and many people who accept and love him. Taehyung learned to focus on thinking positive things. He will also try to protect those around him.

After from the beach they go to a simple restaurant for breakfast. It's actually just a small local shop. But it is not expected that the quality of the food is very good.

They ordered bibimbap, sausage soup and kimchi jjim. It seems an ordinary menu but it tastes so delicious that it reaches the heart.

“Uhh, this is so good~” muttered Taehyung could not hide his happiness.

“I didn't expect us to find this place. Though earlier I resigned because honestly I have never come to this area.” Jungkook chuckled. He also ate delicious. The store is quite crowded by fishermen or traders who stop by for breakfast before or after returning to work.

“Is it possible that we are too hungry?”

Taehyung shook his head and laughed. “But this is delicious. I love all the food.”

Jungkook nodded, grateful that Taehyung looked excited. At least this trip was not zonk, did not fail, fortunately, but Jungkook was already anxious last night that his efforts would be in vain to make Taehyung relax.

After breakfast they take a walk on the beach, enjoying how to walk on the sand barefoot. Taehyung unceasingly smiled widely. Jungkook feels he is looking at the real Vincent self, which is actually innocent and cheerful like this. Now Jungkook knows what the medicine is to make Taehyung relaxed and excited. All the problems and concerns about the syndicate were gone.

When it was almost noon, they decided to go home even though it was actually heavy-hearted. But the journey was still quite far away so they had to go home now to arrive before nightfall.

“Jungkook, gomawo..” muttered Taehyung with a long smile on the way, “Thank you so much for taking me to a very beautiful place. I feel very relaxed and my soul is light.”

“Thank God you liked it. Although I actually lack preparation, Tae, I should be able to give you better.”

“You keep saying it...” said Taehyung clucked, “It's been really good and I really like it! You can't go against my opinion this time.”

Jungkook. “Arraseo, arraseo.”

They stopped by the restaurant for lunch. The two arrived at the Kim Brothers residence before dinner time. Just as soon as Yoon-gi had just finished making dinner.

Hoseok could feel the atmospheric changes within Taehyung. The vampire no longer carried an intimidating aura and a cold aura. Hoseok looked at Jungkook in awe, what has Jungkook done to make Taehyung turn like this??

“The journey is fun?” yongi asked smilingly to welcome the return of Taehyung and Jungkook.

“Very.” Taehyung said no doubt.

“Uwaw...” Namjoon. Rarely did he see Vincent like this.

“Very good.” says Seokjin. He patted Jungkook on the shoulder with gratitude.

“I have no doubt Jeon Jungkook..” said Yoongi winked at Jungkook.

Jungkook scratched his nape in embarrassment for being praised like this when he felt he was not doing anything big. He just had an idea to take Taehyung to the beach.

“You just eat with us.” said Seokjin.

“I think I should just go home because it's been since yesterday I–“

Jungkook's words were cut off because Taehyung had already pulled his arm to join the dining table. At least Jungkook must go home with a stomach that has been filled so that later when he gets home Jungkook can stay to bathe and rest.

Jungkook ends up having dinner at the Kim Brothers residence before Taehyung nags him.

That day was a fun day. Taehyung reminded himself that he wanted to recover from his trauma. He will not waste the effort and sacrifice that people around him have made. He will rise. Although his life is now a vampire but he will try to live it happily. He won't let the syndicate ruin his life again.

Dongwook stared at the screen of his phone with a cold smirk, realizing that his number had already been blocked by Taehyung. He can't call the vampire number anymore.

Dongwook licked his lips with a sly expression. “So you want me to use rough way?” the whispers speak for themselves.

Dongwook threw his phone at the table. He walked to the window of his large penthouse, seeing the beauty of Seoul's city light at night.

Dongwook tries to buy time, giving Taehyung the opportunity to come to him alone without coercion, in a peaceful manner. But if the condition is like this, Dongwook can run out of patience as well. Looks like he has to use a special way so that the vampire understands and wants to get back to him.

Dongwook gives smirk. It's time for him to run the King's pawn. All this time he was running a warrior pawn and a fortress that seemed to be of no use. It's time he gave checkmate to the vampire.

“We'll see, Kim Taehyung, can you still reject me.”
