Jeon Donghyuk supported his head with both hands. His brain thought hard. He was not stupid, he was sure that sooner he would be suspected when Taehyung escaped. Obviously Donghyuk was at the syndicate headquarters when the incident happened. Two of his comrades who were hunters were seriously injured while attacking Taehyung. Only he was not injured. Is Big Boss going to suspect him? Will he be interrogated?

And it's strange that for a few days the syndicate hasn't contacted him. Is he really under suspicion? Donghyuk moved the mouse and started to get into the syndicate's shared drive. He returned to the folder of evidence of the cause of Donghwa and Chanmi's death. A cold sweat poured down where he copied the data and moved it to a private drive.

Donghyuk knew very well that he was doing this very illegally and in violation of work ethics for already copying files belonging to the syndicate. However, Donghyuk felt that the truth should not be kept hidden. The man also copies other documents regarding crimes committed by the syndicate: money laundring, crime mafia, marijuana sales, vampire exploitation.

The heart beat rapidly when Donghyuk found the data of the victims of the illegal research. Some were taken from orphanages, some were homeless. Donghyuk's conscience hurts when he learns that Taehyung is from an orphanage. The boy is told he will be given a decent job which in fact leads him to a nightmare.

Donghyuk swallowed. Syndicates have indeed been very brash and outrageous. The leader sent an email message to Jungkook along with an access link to open Donghyuk's drive.

The man tensely bit the nail waiting until the successful email was sent. After being sure it was sent, Donghyuk removed it to remove the traces.

The sound of the door being knocked. Donghyuk's body suddenly tense. Once in his office there was no one, an hour ago his employees had gone home. Then who comes to visit his office in the middle of the night like this?

Donghyuk quickly turned off his laptop. He looked at the door with a freeze, there was no more knocking. This door he has locked, outsiders can't enter unless they break down by force. But if that happens security will certainly come to his aid soon.

Working together with the syndicate headquarters was indeed very dangerous. You might be able to earn a huge amount of money. But you could easily lose your life if you dare to betray the syndicate.

Donghyuk's tension eased slightly when he heard no more voices. It's so crazy, he can't calm down since he betrayed the syndicate, especially after knowing how easily the syndicate took away Jungkook's parents' lives.

Suddenly there was the sound of a key being inserted into the door knob. Donghyuk was shocked half dead. The master hunter's office door lock was only owned by Donghyuk, how could anyone try to enter his room.

Donghyuk stood up from his seat tensely. Like a slow motion, the door opened with the sound of a criet that somehow now makes the feathers of Donghyuk stand up.

His breathing was choked as he saw someone enter in all black clothes and a mask on his face.

Mafia.

A mobster was sent here to kill him?

The mobster walked forward a few steps then silently looked at Donghyuk. For him it was no big deal to finish off the chief hunter, the traitor of the syndicate's headquarters.

With trembling Donghyuk moved his hand to the desk drawer, about to pick up the gun. The mafia tilted its head and could already read what Donghyuk was willing to do. Once the mafia was calm, he raised his hand and pointed the gun he had been holding towards Donghyuk.

Donghyuk's body froze, yet had time to open the desk drawer. It's really bad. The syndicate is sending the mafia to kill him.

That night Taehyung and Jungkook sat together on the balcony of the room, according to what Jungkook said earlier this afternoon that the human wanted to talk about something important with Taehyung.

“What do you want to talk about, Kook?” tanya Taehyung tried not to worry. Jungkook's expression at this time seems natural so it does not seem like bad news that will be delivered soulmate.

“I have an idea...better way to help you and destroy the syndicate.” Jungkook said with a smile even dimples are visible.

Taehyung's eyes grew bigger. To date Taehyung has no desire to go to the syndicate and destroy it. He did not want to harm his clan. He does not want to be separated from those he loves anymore.

“I've been thinking about it. Some days I think about it and this is my decision.” muttered Jungkook trying to soften the vampire's heart while holding his arm.

Taehyung grunted softly. “It's weird. When I cried over my fate of turning into a mutant vampire, you wanted the opposite. You want to be a vampire. You won't understand, Jungkook, that once you've turned into a vampire, your life won't be the same again. You can't go back to being human anymore.”

Jungkook reared his eyes, realizing that Taehyung's position was very heavy. He transforms into a vampire without his own will, even becoming a cruel, irresponsible human-made mutant vampire. Next to Taehyung's eyes turned white. If you are angry Taehyung's eyes will indeed turn white.

“Tae..”

“You are human, Jungkook. How could you ask to be turned into a vampire?”

“You are my soulmate, I want to be as happy as you are, Tae. You live so long while if I become human, I can't live as long as a vampire.” has

Jungkook's brows frowned, he did not understand why Taehyung was angry and rejected his opinion. Jungkook wants to live a long life with his soulmate. Being a vampire will allow Jungkook to protect Taehyung better than when he was human. Jungkook knew very well the great sacrifice he had to pay when giving himself was turned into a vampire. That was also what he had pondered these few days. Jungkook knew the consequences. He said this after testing it for a few days, making sure he was sincere and would not regret it later on for the important decision he made.

Taehyung did not understand how Jungkook could say it. Is Taehyung worth it until Jungkook even turns into a vampire to always be with him? Is there someone in this world who is willing like that for him? Taehyung believes in Jungkook, but he is not confident enough that he deserves that much attention. He was an orphan in an orphanage.He always thought that no one would fight for his life because of how he had been in an orphanage since childhood, discarded and unwanted.

“I won't allow it.” Taehyung said. He won't risk taking Jungkook's perfect life, he won't let Jungkook waste his life just for the sake of a vampire who wants revenge. He won't let Jungkook be like him.

“You're not clear-minded, you're not thinking about the future.”

“I'm thinking of you, Tae–“

“You don't think about my feelings, Jeon!” elak Taehyung's.

Jungkook's eyes glared in shock at the rebuke. He didn't think about Taehyung's feelings? Precisely what he always thought about was how to protect and heal his soulmate. The sacrifice he made was not by force but by sincerity. Can't Taehyung feel it?

Jungkook is still standing there. He hopes that Taehyung will understand and accept his decision. He wants to stay with Taehyung and protect the vampire.

Taehyung knocked on Jimin's room door. How astonished the man saw the appearance of Taehyung when Jimin was just about to turn off the sleeping lights.

“Tae?”

Taehyung walked into the room. He sees Hoseok who is still engrossed with laptops. The room consists of a double bed. Each bed was uncomfortable if occupied by two people but how else, Taehyung had to calm down and separate himself temporarily from Jungkook. Taehyung has no appetite for sleep. His mind crumpled after his conversation with Jungkook.

“Wae?” ask Hoseok while raising his head to look at Taehyung. Jimin also walked up to Taehyung equally.

“Do you mind if I'm with you tonight?” tanya Taehyung after a long silence.

“You fought with Jungkook?” jimin asked, raising his eyes in disbelief.

“Anni...” murmured Taehyung slowly. He rattled his hair back feeling awward. It used to be common for him to fight with Jungkook but after the bond between them got stronger, fighting like this was very strange and uncomfortable.

“Mian I do not want to discuss it..” continued Taehyung sigh.

“It’s ok, Tae, it's a natural thing in the relationship.” said Hoseok casually.

“Tae, you can sleep with me,” said Jimin, “My body is tiny, my mattress is enough for both of us.”

Taehyung gave a smile, thanking Jimin and Hoseok who understood him. “You can sleep first, I want on the balcony to enjoy the fresh air. I'm not sleepy after all.”

“Oh... alright.” says Jimin, “It's late.. don't sleep at night, Tae.”

Taehyung nodded. He also went to the balcony. He stood there with two hands holding an iron trellis. He should not doubt Jungkook's sincerity like that. The humans thought about it. decided to turn into vampires after the days they spent together. If Taehyung thinks again he hopes Jungkook also lives a long life like a vampire. Humans can die from disease, poison or disaster. The longest lifespan is probably only 70 years, while vampires can live for hundreds of years…

“Mianhe..”.

Taehyung gasped when he heard Jungkook's telepathy inside his head.

“Where is Jungkook?” ask Taehyung. That was all that came to his mind when he woke up.

Taehyung's eyes instantly grew. He turned to Jimin. Oh he hoped it wasn't news that made him die standing up.

“So early this morning around 7, Soojung got a call,” said Jimin, “Their lifeless uncle was found in his study.”

“M-mwo?” Taehyung's throat was kind of choked at the news. Uncle Jungkook is dead? Taehyung did not even have time to say thank you or return the favor because the man who helped him was free from the syndicate.

“Pronounced suicide..” said Jimin slowly sadly, “He was found dead for slashing his own pulse in his study. Soojung, Jungkook, Seokjin Hyung and Namjoon Hyung go to Seoul to see the cremation process.”

Taehyung's eyes turned pushy. Jungkook must be very sad right now. Taehyung should not have slept like this, he should have been with Jungkook and comforted his soulmates.

“Why didn't you wake me?” taehyung almost cried.

Jimin scratched his nape, confused and feeling guilty.

“Do not blame Jimin, Tae..” said Hoseok approaching the bed. “We didn't wake you up because you looked very tired and needed sleep. You sleep with your eyes half-opened. Jungkook also asked that you not be awakened.”

“Tae, where are you going?” jimin asked frantically as Taehyung walked out of the room.

Taehyung entered the mourning room. His vampire nose could tell which one was the smell of his soulmate presence. His heart was broken as he looked at Jungkook who was standing with a pale face, his expression so hurt. Beside him Soojung is still crying being hugged by Seokjin.

Taehyung rushed to them past some people who seemed to be hunters. Taehyung doesn't care. He must accompany Jungkook.

“Jungkook..” said when he was near his soulmate. Seokjin had already opened her eyes a moment before, realizing Taehyung's presence. Namjoon also raised his eyes to see the arrival of his dongsaeng. He should not be surprised if Taehyung comes like this.

Jungkook turned around and Taehyung immediately hugged him. The vampire wrapped his hands around Jungkook's neck and hugged his soulmate, feeling the human grief that his uncle was going through.

“Tae...” Jungkook whispered and drowned face on his soulmate's shoulder. She was grateful Taehyung came like this to be with her. He hoped that his quarrel with Taehyung last night would be meaningless. Because this is what Jungkook needs…

“He's a good uncle, Kook..” Taehyung said on his phone. “I haven't had time to say thank you because at that time he helped me out of the syndicate.”

Jungkook hugged even tighter hearing Taehyung's telepathy. “I should have called him and thanked him. And. I. I can't believe he killed himself. That's impossible, Tae.”

Taehyung took off a hug. He looked at Jungkook deeply with half-enlarged eyes, shocked at Jungkook's words. “Are you sure?” whispered.

Jungkook just gave a nod. His heart suddenly warms if he imagines Dongwook is the mastermind behind his uncle's death. But he has no evidence, even the police have declared this a suicide based on TKP and body.

Taehyung. If Jungkook's suspicions are correct, Donghyuk may have been killed by the syndicate, given that Donghyuk was on the scene when Taehyung escaped, the syndicate could have accused him. Or worse, there is a CCTV camera that records when Donghyuk releases Taehyung.

Hoseok will only comment again when his eyes see the arrival of several luxury cars to the region. His eyes narrowed to look better with his vampire eyes. Suddenly Hoseok's eyes grew bigger. “The hell!!”

“That must be the syndicate cars.” Hoseok said with a facial expression 100 times very serious. His eyes were still vigilantly watching those parked cars. “It looks like big crazy boss it also came.”

Jimin was both stunned and scared. “Ba-how is this? If he sees Taehyung or the others. I fear they are in danger.”.

“I wouldn't be surprised if the big boss knew that Jungkook is the nephew of Donghyuk.” Hoseok said. The vampire hurriedly wore black glasses and a hat. “Jimin, you stay here, I have to go in and tell them.”

“But I want to come.”

“Andwae.” elak Hoseok firmly. “You've been kidnapped by them. Those mafia would have instantly realized your whereabouts and you could be in danger.”

Jimin grimaced. Hoseok was right and Jimin could not oppose him, however he did not want to further aggravate the atmosphere.

“Lock the door when I get out, Chim.” said Hoseok then immediately rushed out of the car. He half ran inside. He did not want any slaughter or bloodshed in this place of mourning. Soojung and Jungkook's grieving feelings are a top priority.
