Vampire In The City

Vampire In The City
Identity Disorder

🎃🎃

That afternoon Jungkook went to college to practice boxing. His hobbies are sports and boxing, usually he works out at the gym while for boxing he does it at home, autodidact. But this time he decided to take part in legal boxing exercises located on the outskirts of Seoul. Jungkook feels increasingly frustrated and sport is always the best outlet. At the boxing training ground there are tools and facilities that he can use.

Sweat was already pouring down his hair and neck while he continued to punch the fist samsak with all his energy. Not tired when he is very frustrated. Yep, Taehyung made it very frustrating.

~flashback~

When the class was over, Jungkook hurriedly stood up and approached Taehyung before the vampire was about to leave the class.

“Tae, we have to talk..” Jungkook told Taehyung.

Taehyung raised his face and looked at Jungkook flatly. “Sorry, don’t have enough time for this.”

Jungkook stiffened his jaw, annoyed at hearing such a remark from Taehyung's mouth. The old Taehyung would never do something like this to her.

“I just want to apologize..” said Jungkook and did not give up blocking Taehyung road. Classes began to empty as the other students had already left the room and mingled out for lunch.

Taehyung raised his eyebrows. “Okay... Have you? I have to go.”

Jungkook held Taehyung's arm before the man continued his steps to leave. “You have forgiven me, right? Everything is clear, right?”

“Huh?” Taehyung looked at Jungkook sharply, “No words of forgiveness in my dictionary, Jeon.”

Jungkook's eyes are growing. He was sure this man in front of him was not Taehyung. His friend never called it ‘Jeon’ like that. Taehyung whom he knew always called him ‘Kookie’ or ‘Jungkookie’.

Fuck the double personality. Jungkook wants Taehyung to come back to him.

“You are not Taehyung..” Jungkook said holding back the frustration in his heart.

Taehyung grinned and looked at Jungkook.”Excuse me?”

“You are just an evil personality who lives inside Taehyung, manipulating his life.” Jungkook continued, somehow courage comes from nowhere, at first he humbled himself and wanted to apologize, but it can no longer stand the uneg-uneg in the heart.

“I? Bad personality?” Taehyung still had a flat expression as if Jungkook's words were not enough to offend him.

Jungkook bit his lip, began to realize that he had been free to talk. His heart was still troubled, what if the one in front of him was indeed a real Taehyung? What if he hurt Taehyung again with his words?

“So you also now know that I am another different personality?” tukas Taehyung raised one eyebrow.

Jungkook gasped, not expecting Taehyung to say it straightforwardly, not trying to cover it up.

“How should I say it, Jeon..” Taehyung whispered and took a step closer to the human, “You will no longer meet your old friend. Now you'll just keep dealing with me.” Taehyung observed Jungkook's face whose expression turned tense. Taehyung gives smirk, “How?”

Jungkook's teeth snapped and Taehyung was very satisfied to see the reaction.

“You still don't admit that I'm Taehyung huh?” whispered the vampire finally, “We are the same, Jeon.”

“You are not Taehyung for me.” Jungkook said. This man in front of him though had the same face as his friend but everything inside him was so different from Taehyung back then. This is very upsetting for Jungkook because he actually lost friends in a tragic way like this. Worse, the vampire in front of him also holds the same memory as Taehyung. He knows his name, remembers what happened, and remembers everything Jungkook did to Taehyung.

Taehyung just looked at Jungkook, saying nothing, as if his head was filled with thoughts.

“Go and let the original Taehyung come back again.” muttered Jungkook while clenching his hands. He did not know what he said was true or not, but honestly and clearly he expressed his wish. He wanted Taehyung who he knew back…

Taehyung's gray eyes were still looking at Jungkook. There was no expression or emotion at all, making Jungkook unable to read what was in his heart.

“You kicked me out?” taehyung whispered furrowed his brows. He holds the collar of Jungkook's shirt with two hands. Jungkook initially thought he would be strangled by the vampire, but Taehyung just smoothed the dust on his collar.

“You think I'm not original??”

How could Jungkook think of him as genuine if Taehyung, who he had always known, had a much different character and taste to him?

“If you tell me how to kick you out, I'll do it.”

Taehyung releases Jungkook and turns his eyes away, as if Jungkook's words are very offensive to him. The man in front of him had not changed.

“That's why I can't be friends with you, Jeon. Our way of view is different.”

“I don't need to have the same perspective as you.” Jungkook said.

Taehyung just smiled faintly. For the first time Jungkook noticed an unusual change in expression on that face: a tired and disappointed expression. Jungkook was flabbergasted, as if he could see Taehyung's familiar self within that expression.

“That’s good, Jeon.” Taehyung said slowly. “I don't think there's anything else we need to talk about.”

With his words, Taehyung also left Jungkook who was still standing there.

~flashback end~

Shit, shit, shit….

Jungkook punching samsak getting stronger. If only he had a sixth sense and could read people's minds! If he knew what was really going on in this universe, what happened to his friend's personality.

Jungkook felt increasingly frustrated with his talk and Taehyung this afternoon. He can't just let it go. He can't ignore his friend.Furthermore after the injury he's inflicted on Taehyung, Jungkook feels he's responsible for remaining a true friend to Taehyung.

But not like this, stupid…

He does not want to be friends with other personalities of Taehyung. That's very upsetting. That bothers him so much!

Jungkook denies himself trying to say multiple personality or not, Taehyung remains his friend.

Jungkook will not accept it.Taehyung who he knows is an innocent personality, cheerful and always makes Jungkook smile.

Tonight Seokjin and Soojung take a walk together in the park. Quality time like this they need because when on campus both can not be free because of the status of lecturers-students. Both are more open to communication. Seokjin recounts the problems in her vampire world and Soojung happily becomes a listener. They were talking about what happened to Taehyung recently.

Seokjin recounts how Taehyung had a multiple personality and how that personality shocked everyone.

“He is even more dominant than me,” said Seokjin, “The dominant one in the group should be Alpha.”

Soojung nodded, he had read the understanding of Alpha, Omega, Beta and others. So he slightly understood what this lover meant.

“What is his personality evil?”

Seokjin tilted her head at the man, trying to find the right answer. He was not sure that Taehyung was evil. After all, there were many things that Taehyung still seemed to be hiding, which he did not tell about his past when he turned into a mutant.

Yep.. Seokjin disagrees if Taehyung is evil.

“Kurasa no...” Seokjin says. “Although I miss her innocent self as she used to. but to me she remains the same Taehyung.”.

Soojung gave a smile. “As a History lecturer how does Oppa think about multiple personalities?”

Soojung looked at her lover, able to feel the seriousness of the words Seokjin said.

“Actually that bothers me not because of Taehyung's new personality,” continued Seokjin, “But regarding the cause he could experience that identity disorder. I can't imagine what kind of trauma he's been through until another personality emerges because he wants to avoid bad memories.”

“You must help heal him, Oppa..” whispered Soojung lirih.

“I really wanted to help him but I think it still took some time to get him open and tell him what happened.”

Soojung nodded small. Of course, it takes a lot of time for someone to get out of the trauma, whether what Taehyung's trauma is.

“It must be hard for you too because you have to hear the life of vampire.” Seokjin said as she rubbed Soojung's hair. “Mianhe..

“Anniya..” Suhut Soojung hurry. He did not mind at all hearing Seokjin's story. Soojung does have a grudge against vampires but her way of thinking has begun to change. He only had a grudge against vampires who had killed his parents, not a general hatred of vampires. Soojung also feels Jungkook already has the same way of thinking.

“Oppa, I'm not against the vampire world. Moreover, you are my lover.”.

Seokjin could not help her long-expanding smile. “Kiyeowo..” whispered while rubbing the woman's cheek.

Soojung gives her blanked eye smile to her lover.

“I will help you find out the background of the cause of your parents' death, Soojung.” Seokjin said turned serious.

The woman looked at Seokjin solemnly. It is undeniable that he is eager to know. “What is possible?”

Seokjin nodded. “It can definitely be found out, Soojung-ah. Vampire has a vampire board, I can dig up information from there, find out what happened the year your parents died.”

Soojung smiled thinly. “I hope that my parents were not killed by vampires.” whispered Soojung. She doesn't want her relationship and Seokjin is restricted with her personal grudges. Soojung wants to love Seokjin freely without needing to remember her grudge again.

“Nado..” murmur Seokjin. He will also think about how to settle the grudge fostered by the Soojung family, about the death of his parents. Seokjin was curious what happened until a pair of humans were killed by vampires.

Hoseok and Namjoon are lying on the couch watching the killer series while Yoon-gi is cooking dinner. Seokjin hasn't returned from college.

Hoseok who was originally still a henchman watching while eating popcorn suddenly slumped. “You what is this?” he asked while sniffing the air.

Namjoon turned his head and came to smell something in the air. The vampire sat up and looked at Yoon-gi who was in the kitchen. “Hyung, is anyone charred??”

“Anniya,” said Hosoek sneering at Namjoon's mistaken sense of smell, “This is certainly not the smell of cooking. Can't you tell the difference?”

Namjoon frowned and re-sniffed the air. True too. This smell is not the smell of cooking.

Yoongi appeared and looked at Hoseok and Namjoon flatly. “This smelly cigarette? One of you smokes?”

“Anniya!” sahut Namjoon and Hoseok are two young children who do not want to blame their mother.

Yoongi was silent for a moment, looking at his two dongsaengs. Shits.

Simultaneously the three rushed straight to the second floor, heading towards Taehyung's room, the source of the smell of cigarettes smelling in the air.

Namjoon who opened the door to Taehyung's room and the smell of cigarettes as fierce as their nose let alone the sense of smell of vampires is quite sensitive. Namjoon looked up at Taehyung's balcony smoking a cigar. It was very shock for him.

“Omo!” exclaims Hoseok dumbfounded. Taehyung was leaning against the balcony barrier, sucking on a cigar with a flat expression like daydreaming.

“Taehyung...” call Yoongi. They approached Taehyung and saw that there were some cigars on the table. Damn. What is this like the original personality of a Taehyung? Where did the innocent and innocent vampire babies they knew go?

Taehyung turned his face and only gave a thin smirk. “You want too?”

Namjoon clenched his hands tightly, wanting to hit the wall hard. The image of Taehyung in front of him right now really bothered him. Dongsaeng that he always pampered is now sucking cigars like old ahjussi?

“You're a smoker?” ask Hoseok still in shock.

Taehyung just shrugged his shoulders. He breathed cigar smoke out of his mouth. “It’s fun. Want?”

Hoseok just looked at Taehyung as if the man was crazy.

“You know that Taehyung never did anything like this,” said Yoongi remained calm, “And in this house no one smoked.”

Taehyung grunted softly. “What to worry about? Vampires don't need lungs to breathe. Meaning.. Vampire smoking will not cause death.” Taehyung chuckled himself feeling that his words were a very funny joke.

“And you also do not need to accidentally smoke.” said Namjoon irritated.

Taehyung shook his own head. He turned off his cigar and threw it into an ashtray. The vampire stretched his neck as if sore and lazy to hear the babble of the residents of the house.

“We have to agree on something,” muttered Taehyung while looking at Yoongi, Namjoon and Hoseok one by one. “In this house there is never a rule for clan members not to smoke, drink liquor and the like.” Taehyung gave a creepy smile. “I'm not harming anyone, am I?”

Namjoon. What does it mean that Taehyung will drink liquor? What is this madness really? Who is this vampire in front of him, why is it so arbitrary?

Angrily Namjoon turned around and immediately lifted his foot from the room. Taehyung's innocent face is still ringing and if you see V's behavior now only makes Namjoon more nauseous. How could V want to ruin Taehyung's good image like this.

“That's true,” Yoon told Taehyung, “You won't die even if you smoke, because you're a vampire.”

“That's what I mean.” Taehyung grinned.

“But you also have to keep the image of your personality before,” continued Yoongi, “Try to think about the feelings of others as well.”

Taehyung grunted softly. He looked at Yogi coldly. “I have no intention of thinking about the feelings of others. Mian.”

Taehyung has always treated Taehyung well, spoiled him as the youngest vampire in the house, and thanked him for that. Taehyung will still respect his clan. But he disagreed if he was forced to think about the feelings of others. He won't care.

“Let the time speak.” said Yoongi with a faint smile. He turned around to leave the room.

There were only Hoseok and Taehyung left. Hoseok did not understand why he was still in this room opposite Taehyung who had an extremely intimidating aura.

Taehyung looked at Hoseok expressionlessly. “Is there anything you want to tell me?”

Hoseok's eyes were rounded and looked at Taehyung. Then he saw a different kind of cigar. He looked back at Taehyung's expression.

“You're up to something right?” whispered Hoseok quietly while gulping. He hoped that his voice would not be heard by Namjoon and Yoon-gi on the 1st floor.

Taehyung finally let out a smile, impressed by Hoseok's question. “I know I can count on a human who turns into a vampire like you.”

Hoseok gawked not understanding.

“Looks like you can help me.” Taehyung said with a long smirk.
