Vampire In The City
The Jungkook House

That afternoon after returning home from college, Jungkook immediately invited Taehyung to his home. Coincidentally also on that day Jimin had dance practice until night, so did not have time to meet them. Taehyung is excited, he is happy that he finally got to stay at a friend's house. Seokjin has allowed it because he believes the quality of friendship that Taehyung and Jungkook have, must be the same as the quality that Jimin has.

Taehyung also secretly notices that Jungkook is not using his silver ring. Taehyung was a little relieved, at least he didn't need to be frightened anymore as Jungkook held his hand. The final wound on Taehyung's palm had not disappeared completely. He still had to put a plaster to cover the blister wound on his skin.

They spent some time in the room before dinner. Jungkook invites Taehyung to complete some of the coursework. Jungkook room is quite large, not much different from Jimin room, equipped with sophisticated and complete furniture. Even in Jungkook's room there is a TV and PS.

The two sat next to each other at Jungkook's study table, trying to complete Chemistry tasks. Taehyung noticed at Jungkook's study table there was a picture of his friend when he was in Junior High, funny because he smiled while showing his barking teeth. And there is also a photo of Jungkook when he was a toddler carried by his parents. Taehyung was once told that Jungkook's parents were dead. Now Taehyung realizes that it must be very painful for Jungkook, left behind by his parents as a child.

“You are very similar to your father, Kookie.” Taehyung said with a smile.

Jungkook turned his head and realized what Taehyung was staring at. It was true, even his uncle always said so. Unfortunately Jungkook can not even remember the moment of his friendship with his father or mother. It's sad because the cause of her parents' death was a vampire. And Taehyung is a vampire. Jungkook clenched his hands firmly under the table.

“You also have no parents?” ask Jungkook bitterly.

“Ne... it's been a long time, Kookie, until I can't remember it.”

Jungkook smiled thinly. Of course Taehyung doesn't remember it, because Taehyung is a vampire not a human!

Jungkook closed the book. “It's dinner time. We better get downstairs. My uncle must be waiting for us.”

“Eoh?”

“I told him that there was a friend of mine staying over and he cooked a special dinner for you, Tae.”

“Hwoa, jinjja?” Taehyung's face immediately sumringah. He was very happy because the Jungkook family members welcomed him like this. He feels very appreciated.

The two went down the stairs to the dining room. Taehyung has already inhaled the scent of his favorite steak. Taehyung really likes steaks.

They passed through the middle room, previously Taehyung did not see this room because earlier when he came directly brought Jungkook to the room on the 2nd floor. The living room is very cozy, the walls are filled with antique ornaments and old-fashioned photographs.

Taehyung was too cool to look at the room until he didn't see the way. He almost hit the wall but Jungkook spontaneously pulled Taehyung's shoulders first, preventing a collision from happening.

Taehyung was surprised and saw Jungkook whose face was even more shocked than he was. Jungkook looked at the wall Taehyung was about to hit and glanced at the vampire. “You almost hit my Uncle's favorite silver figura.”

Taehyung's eyes instantly grew. He turned his back and looked at the wall. Taehyung was immediately flabbergasted backwards when he saw on the wall that hung a bell-shaped figura that turned out to be made of silver. If Jungkook had not pulled it, Taehyung might have been in a lot of pain from touching the silver material. Not only that, it would also make him embarrassed because his identity was revealed.

Jungkook hardens jaw. He doesn't understand why he saved Taehyung if he hates vampires. “Be careful..” he said flat then pulled Taehyung immediately into the dining room.

In the dining room there is Donghyuk, Uncle Jungkook who is serving food. Just as Taehyung predicted, the dinner served was steak. Taehyung muttered cheerfully as he looked at the dining table.

Donghyuk looked over and smiled. “Aahhh... This is your friend who will stay it?”

Jungkook nodded slowly while taking a seat.

“What's your name?” donghyuk asked kindly.

Jungkook actually had no intention of introducing Taehyung to his uncle who was a hunter. But he had not been able to prevent when Taehyung answered his uncle's question.

“My name is Kim Taehyung.”

“Ahh... Kim Taehyung,” Donghyuk said with a smile, “Jungkook rarely takes his friend home. Last time Jimin stayed here. I'm glad that Jungkook's friend is playing in this house.”

Taehyung gave his best smile. He bowed in gratitude. “Sorry if I trouble.”

“Anni, anni.. I happen to be off work and when I find out Jungkook's friend is staying over, I prepare the steak for dinner. You like steak, Taehyung-ssi?”

Jungkook stopped the conversation by telling Taehyung to sit down. There was a bit of panic inside him, now that his uncle knew Taehyung's real name, would it endanger Taehyung's life?

Jungkook tried to shake off the thought all the way. He shouldn't have to worry about all that. However Taehyung is a vampire and it is appropriate that Jungkook takes revenge on vampires. Vampires are monsters.

“Actually there is an older brother Jungkook,” said Donghyuk, “But it looks like he will not join dinner because he said there is a date.”

Taehyung just whimped. Eventually they started eating. Jungkook doesn't know what got into him, he says this to Taehyung, “Tae, my uncle works as a hunter, an exterminator of vampires.”

The fork detached from Taehyung's hand gave off a clanking sound that clashed at the plate. Taehyung was too shocked until he could not control the fork he was holding. The information Jungkook gave him made him very shocked.

Donghyuk turned to Jungkook, wondering why his nephew should tell him his work. Jungkook didn't tell Jimin about the job. Donghyuk glanced at Taehyung who reacted quite dramatically.

Jungkook turned his head calmly to Taehyung. He noticed how scared his friend was.

“Hunter?” Taehyung whispers. The feet under the table were already trembling.

“Eum.” say Jungkook relax. “My uncle is looking for a vampire to exterminate.” Jungkook looked at Taehyung's eyes fixedly, as if he was challenging him.

Taehyung did not understand why Jungkook said such a thing as if Jungkook knew his secret. Taehyung is very scared right now. If Uncle Jungkook is a hunter, Taehyung's safety is further threatened if he is around Jungkook, isn't it?

“Why?” donghyuk asked looking at his nephew, astonished by this atmosphere.

Jungkook still looked at Taehyung a while ago finally turned his face away. “It's okay, Uncle.”

Donghyuk would not ask further. He continued eating while Taehyung was still sitting tensely there.

Taehyung looked down, staring blankly at his plate. He had no appetite after this conversation. So many preconceived notions ran through his mind. He wondered if Jungkook knew his identity? But as far as it is, Jungkook has never seen his real eyes?

After dinner, Jungkook and Taehyung together wash the dishes in the kitchen. Jungkook said nothing. Taehyung was very nervous, he felt anxious as well as scared. He does not expect his friendship with Jungkook to break down. And if the hyungs know that Uncle Jungkook is a hunter, maybe Taehyung is asked not to be friends with Jungkook anymore. Taehyung really didn't want that to happen. He does not want to part with his friends.

Jungkook who washes the dishes, looks at Taehyung's palms which are still plastered. Jungkook knew it must have been a silver ring wound a few days ago.

After washing the dishes, the two returned to the room. As he was going to the room and passing through the living room, Uncle Jungkook was cleaning his rifles made of silver. Taehyung instantly turned deathly pale, scared to death. Fortunately Jungkook did not try to keep him there, the two went straight to the room.

“My uncle collected items made of silver..” Jungkook said as if he was telling Taehyung to be careful. “Do you like silver objects, Taehyung?”

Taehyung's eyes grew bigger and he immediately shook his head. Vampires, of course, hate silver because it can hurt them.

“I got a lot of silver.” stuff Jungkook said. His current expression was hard to guess by Taehyung. “Every time I have a birthday, my Uncle rewards me with silver items to protect myself from vampires.”

Taehyung was shocked and devastated. Each of his fingers was currently trembling. He would not forget the pain he experienced when silver objects touched his skin. But he also does not want to separate from Jungkook.

Jungkook smiled faintly, he did not want to press Taehyung any more than this. Taehyung's expression was already completely like a frightened person.

“We should sleep, Tae?”

Taehyung raised his face. He tries to think positively that the purpose of his stay at Jungkook place is to make Jungkook relax and be able to sleep well. But still Taehyung can not eliminate the fear in him about the possibility of Jungkook knowing his identity.
