Soojung is making coffee in the kitchen. He stirred it slowly, a TV sound from the living room sounded. The woman glanced towards the middle room which was not far from the kitchen, she saw her Uncle was sitting watching TV.
These few days there are a lot of things that bother Soojung's mind. His close proximity to Seokjin makes him question whether all vampires need to be exterminated or not. Of course Soojung does not want if her lover is captured by a hunter, let alone killed. Soojung does hate vampires but she begins to control her hatred. Had he known who was behind the death of his parents, Soojung would not have responded.
Yesterday Soojung asked Seokjin about the reason for the hunter attack a few weeks ago. How the hunter leader who directs the vampire not to be shot in the heart but only shot to be drugged which will later be arrested and locked up. Soojung asks Seokjin's opinion, although she knows such topics are very sensitive because Seokjin is a vampire and almost a victim.
Seokjin didn't say much. He only said that Soojung should know the explanation because her uncle is a hunter.
Soojung took her finished coffee and took it to the living room. He sat down on the other sofa and looked at his uncle who was watching. Donghyuk glanced at his nephew, feeling Soojung's unusual look.
“Wae? You seem to be thinking of something.” said the middle-aged man.
Soojung gasped and turned to his uncle. “Hmm, well little.”
“What's bothering you, Soojung? Can Uncle help?”
“Anni...” Soojung lowered his head slightly with frowning eyebrows, “I just suddenly remembered the big hunt we did a few weeks ago.”
Donghyuk was shocked and turned his body towards his nephew. “That's enough to traumatize you huh?” Donghyuk couldn't possibly forget how he lost his niece there, thinking there was a vampire who had killed Soojung.
“Slightly shocks me.” said Soojung with a low face.
Donghyuk looked at his nephew solemnly. He was actually quite sorry why he had to involve Soojung back then when the woman was not a hunter, despite having the ability to shoot with precision. Donghyuk could hardly forgive himself if at that time Soojung did not return alive.
“I'm just wondering what a hunter does to a captured vampire if a vampire isn't killed. Because as far as I know the job of hunter is to eradicate vampires?”
Donghyuk sighed. “Many changes, Soojung-ah. A modern world like this requires us to make changes, right?”
Soojung frowned in surprise at her uncle's statement. “What kind of changes?”
“Well... Captured vampires will be locked up forever.”
Soojung almost choked on hearing her uncle's answer. He really did not expect that he would hear such a speech. “Covered forever?”
Donghyuk nodded lightly. “Isn't that the best, Soojung-ah? First, vampires do not need to be killed and die in vain. They stay alive, just locked up in a special place so as not to harm humans anymore.”
“Ta-but shouldn't vampires live by drinking human blood?”
Donghyuk shrugged his shoulders. “That too must have been thought of.”
Soojung spit deeply, still not understanding with her uncle's explanation. “But it would cost a lot to lock up vampires like that?”
Donghyuk smiled softly. “It is not a problem if using the utilization basis.”
“Mwo?”
“You know, Soojung-ah, why are cattle farmers tired of caring for cows from small to large? Caring for it, feeding it, keeping it from wild animals.. You know why?”.
Soojung's eyes are breaking. Not likely…
“Of course the cow farmer uses his cow's milk, right?” Donghyuk gave a big smile, “And when the time comes when the cow is ready to be processed and then sent to traders in the market.”
The analogy makes Soojung very uncomfortable. He did not expect his uncle would make such a parable, inexplicably making Soojung heartburn.
“Ma-means..?”
“This is actually a secret, but I'm sure you can keep this secret well because you are my adult nephew,” said Donghyuk, “The captured Vampire will be used for the benefit of mankind. In short like that, Soojung-ah.”
Soojung's hands clenched. His mind went to a dead end and he simply could not imagine what his uncle was saying. What does vampire exploitation mean?
Even when Donghyuk went outside to answer the phone, Soojung was still in shock. The woman immediately rushed into the bathroom, her face in the mirror so deathly pale as if she had just seen a ghost.
His uncle's words were absurd. Are vampires just some kind of farm animal? Arrested, locked up and exploited? So what is being exploited? Donghyuk said vampires can be used for the benefit of mankind. In which part? Thinking about it again makes Soojung's stomach more heartburn. He wanted to vomit, unable to imagine what those people were doing to the captured vampire. Soojung does not want to feel biased, but it is undeniable that she also imagined Seokjin to be one of the victims.
With trembling hands, Soojung took the phone out of her pocket. He called his girlfriend right now.
“Halo, Soojung?” ask Seokjin across the street.
“O-Oppa...” said Soojung in a choked voice, “Where are you? I want to meet you right now.”
.
.
“What happened?” ask Seokjin worriedly. Last time Soojung called her she could hear a trembling tone accompanied by fear. His girlfriend asked to be found in the park near the location of Soojung's house.
Soojung immediately hugged her lover and cried slowly.
“Soojung-ah, why?” ask Seokjin and return the hug.
“I'm so scared, Oppa..”
“Fear why? I'm here, I'll protect you from anything, I promise.”
Soojung is still crying. “I'm afraid I lost you, Oppa.”
Seokjin was surprised to hear that. He took off his hug and looked at the woman well. “Soojung?”
“Hunter who attacked in villa bamboo..” isak Soojung sad, “They caught a vampire to exploit it.”
“Mwo? Y-you know where it is?”
“I just heard it from my uncle.” said Soojung trying to stop crying. “I can't imagine if you were caught at the time, Oppa. I'll never forgive myself if you get caught.”
Honestly speaking, Seokjin was also quite shocked. It turns out that the presumption is true that there is a syndicate of vampire exploits behind the work of a hunter.
“Have not cried again..” said Seokjin gently while caressing the head of her lover. “I’m here. I'm safe, Soojung.”
The woman nodded, wiped away the tears and tried to strengthen her heart. He may be too naive to think that the world is not as bad and evil as it seems. But in fact, even captured vampires are exploited like livestock, as if they do not have the right to live on earth.
Seokjin looked at Soojung sadly. Actually, he was moved because Soojung worried about the fate of vampires who were captured by hunters. Seokjin himself who is a vampire trying to avoid, does not want to interfere in the business. But look at this lover…
“I don't know..” says Seokjin is weak, “It's too risky. Not much information is obtained.”
“I will help you, Oppa..” said Soojung sincerely.
“Soojung-ah, this is very dangerous.”
“I've chosen it since the beginning..” said the woman, “When I choose to love a vampire, I'm ready with all the consequences.”
“So-Soojung. Not that simple. I also do not want to harm my clan members.”
“I will be your informant, Oppa..” said Soojung, “If this is indeed a vampire exploitation syndicate, I want to stop it. What those people are doing is so untrue.”
O God…
Both of Seokjin's hands held her lover's cheeks. Who was he until he was blessed with a woman like Soojung? She has no objection at all if Soojung is antipathy towards the life of a vampire let alone the woman has a bitter experience about vampires. But now it was Soojung who strengthened him and supported him. It's like a miracle.
“I love you so much..” whispered Seokjin who replied with a big smile by Soojung. Seokjin seems to have gained new strength. All because of this lover.
“We can take it slow, Oppa...” said Soojung with a smile, “What is clear I want you to know that I am against this exploitation.”
“Gomawo.” Seokjin gave a sweet smile to her lover. “We can do it slow. And the first thing I can do is I want to take you to dinner at my house. I'd like to officially introduce you to my clan.”
Soojung nodded, her eyes sparkling back at Seokjin's gaze. “I'll bring Jungkook.”
“Sure.. My house is wide open for you.”

Hunter Headquarters, Seoul. 7.15 PM.
Oh Myunggyu, who is a senior hunter and chairman in the South Korean hunter headquarters union, is checking the company's email. He used to do things like this when there wasn't much work. Myunggyu always felt he needed to also check incoming emails from the community, checking what happened to his men.
His eyebrows frowned as he looked at the email two weeks ago. What makes him interested is the title of the subject there :
To : hunter.centre@mail.com
From: jjk_jeon@mail.com
Subject: vampire detected
Message :
I suspect there's a vampire at Seoul University disguised as a student. If interested, please do a scanning of the campus. Suspicion for personal reasons.
Years of being a hunter, Myunggyu had never received this kind of message. Even if there are reports from the public about vampires, there is nothing more interesting than this message.
The word ‘ disguised’ that he never heard from the community. Although it is 100% accurate that vampires today are very good at disguising and mingling with humans.
Myunggyu smiled slightly. Posing to be a student is even more interesting. Myunggyu questions who this whistleblower is until he can suspect a student is a vampire. Myunggyu read the whistleblower and admin who replied to an email with a final message about a place to meet the vampire, a kind of trap so that the hunter can ascertain whether the vampire really meant or not.
Myunggyu immediately grabbed the phone and called his secretary. “Please check who the hunter is going on the 8th to XX.” Building
Myunggyu waited for a while until he was finally given the name of one of the hunters. Unpatiently, Myunggyu directly called the hunter in question to come to his room.
Chanyeol, the hunter in question, sat down before him. Chanyeol is not the best hunter but he is quite competent and dedicates himself to the job. You could say the candidate to be the leader of the hunter in the future. So Myunggyu admits Chanyeol would not take the wrong step in dealing with a case like this.
“You called me?” ask Chanyeol.
“Say...” Myunggyu said with a smile, “What happens when you come to XX Building to catch student vampires.”
Chanyeol. His face looked so confused and tried to remember what happened. He can't remember going to XX Building to catch or trap a student vampire (Seokjin erased his memory of the incident, see episode: Save Taehyung!)
“I have never been to XX.” Building Chanyeol said at last.
“Mwo?” Myunggyu back wonder. He immediately turned his laptop and showed the email message to Chanyeol. “You remember reading this?”
Chanyeol nodded. “Yes, I've read that message. But to go there I do not remember it.”
Myunggyu was silent for a moment. “So you didn't catch him?”
Chanyeol's voice is getting confused. He could not remember the incident at all as if someone had stolen his memory, as if he was amnesiac.
Myunggyu looked closely at Chanyeol. Finally he gave a smile. “Okay then, Chanyeol. I just wanted to ask him. You can go.”
Chanyeol bowed politely and then excused himself from the room. Meanwhile Myunggyu was still sitting with a serious face. I don't know why he's still curious. Even Chanyeol could not remember the incident as if it were amnesia.
Myunggyu is not stupid. His years of experience as a hunter let him know that there are vampires who have the power to erase memories. Isn't it in that way that vampires can hide from hunters?
He felt he had to check it out. Seoul University, as it says in the email.
Myunggyu called back his secretary, telling him to check the user's email jjk_jeon@mail.com to find out if there are any students with such email lectures at Seoul University.
Myunggyu gave a smile, still staring at the email message. If it's true that there's a vampire in disguise, it'll be more fun. He could increase the number of prisoners.
“Should I send people there..” muttered Myunggyu with a sly smile, “Seoul University yes.”.

What else is going to happen, huh?
Don't forget to give a trace yes 🐾🐾
don't mean to ruin the novel's feel, but it's hilarious 😂
