That night Jungkook took Taehyung out, telling him the hell for a night air-breathing walk. But Taehyung did not expect that Jungkook invited him to run for the night in the forest near the residence. Jungkook instead invites Taehyung to a chase, run races, see who is the fastest among them. Shit, it is clear that Jungkook excels in speed but still wants to race.

The anxiety just came, seeing her being left like this. Suddenly Taehyung felt his chest tight, he was so afraid of being left alone. He was so afraid to be alone in this dark forest, dark memories milling about, thinking he was completely abandoned.

Taehyung stumbled upon the thick tree roots making him fall down. Because he was running fast, the vampire bounced far enough. His hands and feet were sprained by the impact.

He realized that he was overreacting. He just wants to prove to Taehyung that he is strong enough to protect. He wants Taehyung to admit that Jungkook is worth it, not what he used to be when Jungkook was just an ordinary human who needed vampire protection.

“Mianhe...” muttered Jungkook with heavy voice.

Taehyung surprised. He thought Jungkook would have mocked him like before but turned out to feel very guilty as if Taehyung had already suffered a catastrophe because of it.

“Kajja.” says Jungkook short. He carried Taehyung on his back and took him away. Taehyung was so surprised because by being carried like this he could feel what speed his soulmate had.

This is totally crazy. Jungkook is very fast. And the vampire ran as if there was no feeling of fatigue at all, as if it did not give off energy when doing so.

Jungkook ran and took him to a hill, somewhere, seemed to be very far from where they lived.

“That means he's been in the syndicate long enough,” said Jisung, “Become experimental material, eoh?”

Jungkook's body had advanced and wanted to stuff the vampire's mouth but Taehyung held it back again. If they quarrel the mission will never be implemented.

“That's why we must unite to destroy the syndicate,” Taehyung said calmly, “Sindikat not only conduct dangerous experiments but also exploit captured vampires. Blood even vampire organs traded to a group of elite to make humans ageless.”

“And you intend to betray the syndicate that made you what you are now?” jisung said again. This vampire is famous for the songong vampire who can not control his own mouth.

Both Yoongi and Seokjin had already squinted their eyes sharply at Jisung. Had Jisung not been a senior vampire and been older than them, Seokjin would have already denounced him. Jungkook also gritted his teeth with a lump.

“Well?” Taehyung tilted his face and looked at Jisung. Next to his eyes turned white, blatantly showing his status which was that of a mutant vampire. “You can ask your group why you chose me as mission leader.”

Jisung gave a mouthful, unable to answer Taehyung's words.

“We need to plan well how to destroy the syndicate in one attack.” said Jackson trying to return the topic of conversation to its supposed.

“I plan to split the attacking vampires in 2 groups,” Taehyung said. His eyes returned to normal to a normal gray color. “The first group to lure the mafia out of base, have a fight outside. While the second group is tasked to break into the headquarters and bring out the captive vampires.”

Suho nodded, agreeing with Taehyung's proposal. “Total us 12 yes?”

“Maybe we just split it into a vampire council group and a Kim clan group.” Lucas said lazily.

“I disagree.” said Seokjin suddenly. “We need to take into account the strength of each vampire.”

“That's right,” says Jackson, “It's a good step we divide the group based on the strengths and targets each group wants to achieve.”

“What is clear is that Jisung is in the group that will enter the headquarters of the syndicate,” said Mark, “His ability to unload keys is needed in that group.”

“Bambam is also in the group that entered the headquarters to be able to find the existence of vampires who were taken captive faster.” added Suho.

“I as the iron controller can help in the group that goes into the headquarters,” said Jakson, “While Lucas who is proficient at using the sword helps in other groups.”

Jisung grunted softly. “Isn't this division the same as the division of the vampire council into the syndicate's headquarters? “Of course, because he's a mutant vampire belonging to the syndicate,” said Mark, “That may also be being sought by the syndicate.”

Taehyung smiled faintly. “I will join the group outside to lure the mafia.”

“Then me and Yoongi will join the group that goes into the syndicate headquarters,” muttered Seokjin. Yoongi gave a nod to his Alpha.

“Thus the group that entered the syndicate headquarters has even 6 vampires. The rest will be outside headquarters.”

“What is enough?” jisung asked again underestimating. “There are two baby vampires outside the base. Don't-don't the two will instantly die before fighting.” Jisung's remarks are meant on Jungkook and Hoseok who are vampire babies.

“Do not underestimate them,” said Yoongi calmly but his tone warned. Dhampir was actually not able to stand the various words of Jisung who always insulted.

“Taehyung have amazing ability,” said Seokjin, “I'm sure they will be fine.”

“It looks like big boss will really deploy all the mafia to catch Taehyung if know his mutant vampire is coming,” says Mark, “Therefore we all have to get ready.”

“That sounds like Taehyung is a big target big boss.” Suho said.

“Of course. That's why he's the designated mission leader.” Lucas murmured.

Jungkook gave a mouthful, annoyed at how the vampires were talking as if they did not appreciate Taehyung at all. Yoongi repeatedly glanced at Jungkook for feeling the emotional upheaval of the vampire.

“It could be that the big boss of the syndicate is already very familiar with his mutant vampire,” said Jisung, “They may have a connection with each other. Or could Taehyung really want to help the syndicate to feed us?”

Taehyung's jaw hardens. All of this is clearly slander.

“With all respect, keep talking.” said Seokjin.

“Wae?” jisung. “That's why the vampire council was careful and only sent a few vampires on this mission. Because the vampire council doesn't trust mutant vampires enough!”

Mark furrowed his brows, thinking about that word. Indeed it could be so, who knows Taehyung did intend to trap the vampires in order to be captured?

Emotions flare up inside Jungkook, meetings like this are useless. They shouldn't have asked for the help of a vampire council that has this kind of character. Look how Taehyung is unappreciated and unceasingly suspected.

Bambam looked at Jungkook, feeling that there was a strengthening energy within Jungkook. He was astonished to feel the Alpha aura inside Jungkook. Or was it just another Alpha-Alpha aura present in this room? Seokjin and Mark are Alpha vampires. But he's not sure if Jungkook could be an Alpha vampire if he was an ordinary human.

“You should know that I am not grateful to the syndicate for turning me into a vampire.” muttered Taehyung staring straight at Jisung. “I even want to destroy those who have made me like this.”

“The syndicate must have put a lot of medicine in you,” said Jisung, “You are given drugs that make you strong and have amazing abilities. Big boss must have given you medicine so you can be controlled by him.”

Taehyung quips bland. “I am not controlled by them. They don't have the drugs to control the vampire mind.”

“What is your handsome face also from the syndicate experiment?” jisung said scornfully. “Big boss it's got taste that–“

Jisung did not continue his words as Jungkook had already darted towards him. He could no longer hold himself back. He pulled Jisung out of his chair and lunged him to the floor. The hand choked the vampire's neck furiously. Her purple eyes flashed dangerously.

Taehyung stood up and glared at Jungkook's actions. Yoon-gi was stunned because of how much anger Jungkook felt now was very big. Yoon-gi fears that Jungkook's anger could kill Jisung. The other vampire council was just as surprised, how any baby vampire could move so quickly and was about to attack a senior vampire.

“Jungkook, keep your hands off him.” says Seokjin. He was quite calm because after all Jisung was indeed worthy of being taught a lesson. That venomous mouth needs to be taught.

Jisung who was strangled by Jungkook could only be wide-eyed, shocked by the strength of Jungkook's hand on his neck. It could be the baby vampire's ability. He didn't think Jungkook could do it.

Jungkook couldn't help himself when Jisung had linked Taehyung to Dongwook, the big boss he hated so much. Jisung's words only reminded Jungkook of the vile deeds that Dongwook had done to his soulmate. And even Jisung dares to point out that Taehyung has a connection with the syndicate's big boss? Words that were so disgusting and that disturbed his heart.

“Jungkook, stop.” Taehyung said a little panicked. “If it's like this we can't do the mission, Kook.” Taehyung telepathically sent his soulmate.

“We don't need a vampire board! They're lowly vampires who don't know manners!” jungkook said inside Taehyung's head while he was still strangling Jisung on the floor.

“No way, Jungkook! We even need him to get inside the syndicate headquarters. He's the key unloader we need.”

This is so frustrating because of how much vampires like Jisung are needed in this mission and if Jungkook does not stop then Jisung will probably resign from the mission.

Jungkook's hand that gripped Jisung's neck loosened but his eyes were still filled with anger.

Jisung still looks shocked after the attack carried out by Jungkook. Hell, he never felt the horror like he saw from Jungkook's eyes, as if the vampire was ready to kill him without hesitation.

“What are you doing?” said Mark. He strongly opposed what Jungkook did at a meeting like this.

Jungkook turned his head on Mark. He is still very aggressive. His purple eyes glittered at Mark. “I? I was just doing what I had to do.”

“Jungkook...” hissed Taehyung trying to remind his soulmate to calm down.

“What's your problem?” ask Lucas, “Jisung doesn't offend you at all.”

Jungkook snorted laughter. “She's gone too far by saying things that aren't her business.”

“And I don't think it's any of your business.” said Mark.

Jungkook was ready to serve the speech when Taehyung suddenly said. “Mr-Master, I'm sorry for what happened.” Taehyung bowed politely apologizing to the vampires. “Jungkook is my soulmate. He did it because he wanted to defend me.”

The vampire council was shocked to hear that. They did not expect that Jungkook and Taehyung were connected as soulmates. Jisung who was still on the floor was dumbfounded. No wonder Jungkook attacked him like that.

Jungkook turned to Taehyung, quite surprised because Taehyung bluntly told the vampire council that both of them were soulmates. Yoon-gi looks at Taehyung tensely while Seokjin has no intention of covering up.

“Soulmate?” ask Mark, “You mean like Nayeon and Vernon?” Mark faced Jackson, trying to correct.

Jackson and Seokjin looked at each other. It's getting weird. I don't know what the vampire council's reaction to this is.

Suho nodded, starting to understand the situation.

Jungkook stood next to Taehyung, staring at the vampire councils one by one with an unfriendly face. He was ready to swing his fists if there was another who tried to say something as good as he could.

Seokjin sighed. He felt this meeting was enough to get here first. “Gentleman, I think we should end this meeting. We'll have a similar meeting at a later time to discuss the attack strategy.”

Jisung shook off the dust on his shirt. His facial expression was hard to guess. “I hope the next meeting is more interesting than this.” His eyes peeked at Jungkook, how he wanted to give Jungkook a lesson for what the baby vampire was doing.

Taehyung bowed back to apologize to Jisung. “Once again I apologize.”

Jungkook looked at Taehyung in disbelief, why Taehyung had to apologize when it was clear Jisung was guilty. Jisung just turned the eyeball and threw away his face.

Finally Seokjin, Taehyung, Jungkook and Yoongi withdrew from the place. If it lingers there, Seokjin is afraid that there will be a fight. Maybe each should cool down first.

Jackson glanced at Jisung. It seems he needs to explain to the vampire in more detail about the situation Taehyung and Jungkook are experiencing. Jisung's words are not properly spoken to fellow vampires, even though Taehyung is a mutant vampire though. Jackson will explain how the suffering Taehyung has been through in the syndicate and how the destiny that unites Taehyung and Jungkook as soulmates is nothing but to destroy the syndicate together.

Seokjin, Yoongi, Taehyung, Jungkook, Namjoon and Hoseok were already in the jeep wrangler car. Yoongi who drove for them returned to the clan residence. And during the trip Jungkook continued to talk how he did not like the vampire council.

“Vampire councils are like that,” said Yoongi calmly, “They consider themselves superior. That's why some of them talk as they please.”

“They accuse Taehyung of being a no-no.” Jungkook said annoyed.

“That's because I'm a mutant vampire, Kook.” Taehyung muttered.

Jungkook raised his eyebrows. “What's the difference?”

“They might think of me as a human-created vampire, that's why they think I could have been an accomplice of the syndicate.” Taehyung continued.

“But you are not..” said Jungkook.

“Vampire mutants are still considered lowly by some vampires,” said Seokjin, “But trust me only a few who think so in the room earlier.”

Taehyung smiled faintly. “I understand. I've been through a lot of things that taught me about it.”

Jungkook looked at Taehyung sadly. How heavy the things Taehyung had been through all this time. He who is an ordinary human being is immediately used as an experimental material and transformed into a mutant vampire. Not in an instant or the magic Taehyung turns into a mutant vampire. Taehyung was subjected to torture and suffering whose scars were even still on his body. And after going through that traumatic period, Taehyung also had to experience rejection for the sake of rejection. Jungkook used to be one of those who refused his existence and considered him a monster.

“I’m fine, Jungkook.” Taehyung said telepathically because he can read Jungkook's mind now. Taehyung does not want Jungkook to feel guilty again for what has passed.

Jungkook promises he will wipe out the dirty and ruthless syndicate. He was already impatient to make Taehyung really feel safe and comfortable living in this world.
