WAR'S EFFECT

The war on the Kumo battlefield ended in Konoha's victory. All Konoha forces retreated as they prepared for war.

Inside the Meeting Room,

All the council members along with the Village elders gathered in the conference before the Fire Daimyo.

“I will resign from the position of Hokage. I have long guided the village and want to retire now.” Hiruzen expressed the matter of meeting.

All the elders and the council members were shocked by this sudden announcement and they discussed earnestly among themselves. Fire Daimyo waved his fan in front of his face as he spoke,

“Hokage Third did a good job of leading the village. I don't see any problems with the rules, then why suddenly ask to step down from the Hokage position?”

Before anyone could continue further discussion, Danzo interrupted as she spoke,

"To be honest, the Third Hokage was too soft and he let the village be cornered. This Third Great Ninja War only caused casualties and a lack of manpower and resources for the Land of Fire. We had absolutely no benefit from it. The war as Hiruzen pushed for a peace agenda."

“I disagree with you Danzo-sama. While the Third Hokage-sama may have flaws, his peace decision prevented further casualties in the war. If not for peace with Iwagakure, Konoha would not have survived long against the combined attack of the Three Hidden Villages.” Shikaku interrupts Danzo as he explains Hiruzen's decision.

“But we have not suffered. If we are going to push a little harder, we will secure victory on all three fronts and the Fire Nation will dominate the Shinobi world for years to come Danzo denied Shikaku's claims as he responded with his opinion.

"Today, we are not here to argue about my incompetence, but rather we are here to sever the Fourth Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village." Hiruzen tapped his finger on the table as he attracted everyone's attention.

“Ohoho!…I agree with the words of the Third Hokage. We are here to decide on the Fourth Hokage. I'd like to ask if any of you have a candidate for that position. ” Daimyo Fire waving her fan while laughing.

“I recommend Orochimaru, one of the Legendary Sannins for Hokage position.' Danzo nominated Orochimaru.

“Orochimaru is truly a genius in this age of war. But he was not a suitable candidate to lead the village as Hokage. Evil will and greed lurked deep behind those eyes. That's why I don't support Orochimaru as Hokage.” Hiruzen denied Danzo's candidacy as he stared at Danzo with a pensive expression.

"Do any of you have any other candidates for the Hokage position?" Fire Daimyo waved his fan as he looked towards the other Council members.

"I'd like to nominate Sakumo Hatake for the Hokage position." Shikaku expressed his opinion.

A spirited discussion began among the board members as they discussed Sakumo's prospects as Hokage.

“He will be a great Hokage. His strength was comparable to that of a Kage and his achievements in war far surpassed others. I support the opinion of Shikaku.” One of the council members supported the idea.

“Yes, Sakumo Hatake will be a good Hokage. His achievements, his skills, and his strength, were all Kage class and his character was great.” Other board members agreed with the idea.

“Did you all forget about the events that happened three years ago. Due to his incompetence, the Land of Fire suffered heavy losses, the event was further strengthened by the enemy. Because of that event, Kumo dared to show his fangs in Konoha.” Danzo reminds them of what happened three years ago.

“Hokage Third, you have been serving the village for many years. So, do you have a certain person in your mind, who is suitable for the Hokage position?” Daimyo Fire folded her fan as she looked towards Hiruzen.

“I recommend Minato Namikaze for Hokage position. He had enough strength and contribution during the war to become Hokage.” Hiruzen expressed his opinion.

“A disciple of Jiraiya, one of the Three Legendary Sannins. That's a great choice indeed.” Koharu agrees with Hiruzen.

Danzo stood up from his seat as he faced off against Hiruzen, who was,

“Minato is too young for Hokage position. He is still inexperienced in terms of leading a Village.”

“Danzo-san looks like you are picky against every candidate that someone else has nominated for the position. I wonder if you want the Hokage position for yourself.” Fire Daimyo flicked his fan in front of his face while curiously looking for Danzo's answer.

“It....not like that. What I want to say is we need to consider age and experience in terms of things that are so important.” Danzo answered confusedly.

"If you don't have any other complaints, then let's hear the Third Hokage's reasoning for his choice." The Daimyo fire continues.

“He emerged victorious at the Battle of Kannabi Bridge and distinguished himself by leading the way to the end of the Great Third Shinobi War. He faced a thousand enemy shinobi alone and fended off their invasion. That's enough contribution to give him the position Hokage.” Hiruzen explained his choice.

"I'm against this idea!" Danzo strongly refuted the idea.

“How about you others?” Fire Daimyo opened the fan in front of his face as he stared at everyone.

"We have no problem with the nomination of the Third Hokage." All current board members agree with Hiruzen.

"Deleted later, Minato Namikaze would become the Fourth Hokage Leaf." Fire Daimyo folded his fan when he ended the meeting.

At the Konoha mourning ceremony, 

All the ninjas gathered with their respective clans as they mourned for their loved ones. I stood with my parents and family as we grieved. We stood near Fugaku, closing our eyes to pray in our hearts.

“We managed to make a truce, but the sacrifice was too great. Lord Third intends to take full responsibility and retire. There are voices that support your appointment, Leader as the Fourth Hokage. Please..” One of the members of the Uchiha clan raised this matter.

“What should we do about Kakashi Hatake? He does not belong to our clan but has Sharingan” Other members raised the issue of Kakashi.

I clenched my hand when I heard about this. 

'How could they think of such a thing during such an event?'

“I understand Obito Uchiha fought bravely. Let's respect his wishes.

“We must bring the Sharingan back to Uchiha The clan members continued.

“War has just ended. Do not sow seeds of discord.” Fugaku rebuked the Uchiha members.

"Yes sir."

“We finally have peace. We will be persistent in defending it. It was the duty of the Uchiha clan.” Fugaku ended the conversation.

I saw Itachi moving towards Orochimaru. I followed Itachi because I was curious to see Orochimaru.

“Suffering over the dead is meaningless. If there is meaning in death, it is to make use of it.” Orochimaru muttered while staring at the many graves.

"What is the meaning of life?" Itachi questioned Orochimaru.

"none. There is meaning in life if it is eternal.” Orochimaru replied to Itachi.

“Then it will make life meaningless, if there is nothing left to live but you. If you have eternal life, isn't it like a cursed life where you see your loved ones passing by one by one.” I interrupted Orochimaru as I looked at him.

Orochimaru has pale skin, golden eyes with split pupils, purple markings around his eyes, and fang-like teeth. She also has prominent cheekbones and straight black hair along her waist with some key covers and framing her face to her shoulders.

As I examined Orochimaru, he also examined me with a curious expression. After looking at me for a while, Orochimaru started to retreat when I heard him mutter, Orochimaru,

"Good specimen!"

A vibration ran down my back as I heard those creepy sentences.

Inside the Underground, the,

Orochimaru was conducting some experiments as he poured the transparent liquid from the test tube into a conical flask. The liquid turned blue as Orochimaru recorded something in the notebook.

Danzo walked beside Orochimaru as he spoke,

“Everything in this situation is going as Hiruzen.” wants

"The Third Hokage only intended to use Minato as a puppet and intended to continue ruling the Hidden Leaf Village." Orochimaru continued to experiment as he spoke with Danzo.

"At this rate, the leaves will have no future, anything." Danzo angrily accused Hiruzen.

"It's not over yet. So don't give up. If my research is successful, then I think it will be easy enough to stop the power within the Hidden Leaves. ” Orochimaru console Danzo

“Humm...” Danzo frowned and stared at Orochimaru.

“But in order to capture such power, stronger measures must be prepared.” Orochimaru persuaded Danzo.

Danzo walked out of Orochimaru's hidden lab while muttering to himself,

Danzo walked over to his Root Subordinate as he commanded,

“Let's go, Kinoe, Kinoto, and Hinoe.”

“Master, yes Sir.”

Danzo and his subordinates ran towards Leaf village as Orochimaru stared at Danzo's back and smiled at himself.
