ORIGIN OF SENJUTSU

"It looks pretty interesting."

Izuna curiously looked at the pile of scrolls placed in front of him.

'I have always wondered how this group of frogs gained the wisdom and power to use Senjutsu.

Chakra is the exclusive power for Otsutsukis. Hagoromo was born with Chakra because of Kaguya. Then he divided his chakra with other creatures through the use of Ninshu.

Chakra became a privilege accessible to all living beings in the Shinobi World. But Senjutsu was present long before Chakra, as Gamamaru trained Hagoromo in Senjutsu.

Now, here's the question. Why does this frog know about Senjutsu? Maybe this scroll can answer my doubts.'

Izuna took out a scroll to read it.

"This is…"

The writing of the scroll surprised him.

"The signs! They were similar to the ones in 'Grimoire of Sin'. Is that a coincidence?"

Izuna turned towards Fukasaku and questioned him,

"Fukasaku-san, where did you get these scrolls from? I have never seen this writing anywhere? They look very ancient and I can feel a huge amount of Natural energy within them."

Fukasaku pondered for a moment before he replied,

"Izuna-boy, these scrolls are our legacy Frogs. Thousands of years ago, one of our ancestors saved the life of a certain 'People.

'The 'person' was seriously injured and was on the verge of death. At that time, there was no concept of Chakra or Senjutsu.

The ancestors along with other animals took care of him until he recovered. 'It was 'People' who taught us the concept of Senjutsu and trained our ancestors in Senjutsu along with other animals.

He created Myoboku Mountain, Shikkotsu Forest, and Ryuuchi Cave. These places then turned into 'Sage Areas' in the Shinobi World.

These scrolls were written by him to give to his heir. Although I was still unaware of his possession which he had downgraded. Even the Great Toad Sage did not know much about this.

There is no record of that person's information in the remnants of history. As far as I know, he fought against some otherworldly invaders and died in that battle.

There are still some ruins of their battles scattered throughout the Shinobi world, although the exact location of these ruins is unknown. This is information passed down by our ancestors." Fukasaku explained to Izuna.

'There really is such a background. If I remember correctly, no Otsutsuki showed 'Senjutsu' in any battle. Well, their chakras are quite strong by themselves.

As literally, they can be reincarnated through the use of the 'Kama Seals'. Also, they turned the entire life energy and the Nature energy of the planet into fruit and harvested it. So why do they even need Senjutsu?

This could only mean one thing, Senjutsu was a power not inherited from the Otsutsuki clan but its source was the same as this 'Sin Seal. The person I was fighting was not an Otsutsuki, He used a power similar to this 'Sin Seal' and he did not have any Dojutsu.

Now, if he is like Otsutsukis, then I strongly doubt I killed him during our previous encounter. So who is he? Why was he chasing the 'Sin Seal'? And most importantly, what is the origin of Senjutsu and Fuinjutsu?'

The gears in Izuna's brain churned and various questions popped into his mind.

'Let me see the content of these scrolls first. Maybe they can answer some of my questions.'

Izuna opened the scroll and activated her Sharingan to decipher it. He looked at the contents of the scroll again but could not decipher it.

'I have to use my Mangekyo Sharingan to decipher it.'

He turned towards Fukasaku and told him,

"I'm going to borrow these scrolls for a while. I think I'll be able to decipher it."

"You can do as you please, Izuna-boy. I'm going back. Maa will be waiting for me." Fukasaku jumped away from that place.

Izuna teleported from her place. He reappeared at the top of a giant tree in Shikkotsu Forest.

'The 'Sin Seal' reacted again and formed a strange mark around his right eye.

Thus, I trained them in the Senjutsu Art; the technique of harnessing the energy of our clan. Otsutsuki are born with Chakras and thus they have a natural advantage against us, but their evil ways of gaining power do not match us.

The writing on the scroll ended. Izuna rolled up the scroll and pondered.

'This scroll was nothing more than a diary. But it looks like I will get all my answers in it.

So, my hunch is right. Someone taught these frogs, snails, and other calls. And from the looks of it, he was chased by members of the Otsutsuki clan.

Men! These otsutsuki are everywhere. I always wondered how Kaguya had enough time to make some ruins in the Shinobi world when she was busy with her 'Peaceful World Quest.

It seems like Otsutsuki visited the Shinobi World earlier on an expedition to hunt this person down. They even brought the Karasuki Time Artifacts with them.'

Izuna took out a strange piece of metal in her hand.

'If my guess is correct, then this damaged artifact of the Namikaze clan is Hirasuki, as mentioned in this diary scroll. Perhaps it broke out during their last confrontation and during the following years the Namikaze clan happened to find it.

But come to think of it, there are other races out there that are just as powerful as Otsutsukis. It seems like I was born in an alternate or parallel Naruto World.

I have to make preparations for this new danger as well. There are other powerful beings out there with their views on the 'Shinobi World'. I need as many hands as possible.

I have to talk to Tsunade about her Sage Mode training. He will be a great asset in the future. I had to pay a visit to the village and check out Shisui and Itachi as well.

Izuna kept the scroll and jumped down from the tree. He sensed Katsuyu's chakra and moved towards him.

"Miss Katsuyu, I will fulfill my promise now. In a few more days, I will bring Tsunade to Shikkotsu Forest for the Clerk Mode Training."

"Thank you very much, Izuna-kun. I will be able to keep Kenshiro-sama's legacy alive this way. His clan was exterminated a few years ago, but fortunately I was able to pass on his legacy to Tsunade.
