Uhuk…
Hiruzen coughed to get our attention.
"Jiraiya, Tsunade, what are your plans after this mission?"
"I will spend my days traveling the world visiting many places. Oho! Minato, I have written a new novel 'The Tale of the Utterly Gutsy Shinobi'. You should check it out when you have free time. I'll leave a copy with you. I'll be holding a book signing event soon for that." Jiraiya exclaimed in excitement as she thought about her new book.
"What about you Tsunade? What are you gonna do?" Hiruzen asked Tsunade.
"Initially, I planned to leave Konoha and roam around the world. But I've changed my mind now. Izuna asked me to teach him medical ninjutsu and I will stay in Konoha until he learns enough. I will still roam around the world and will probably visit the Land of Medicine." Tsunade explained her plan to Hiruzen.
"Alright, it's good that you extend your stay in Konoha. Although we have achieved peace after the war, there are still riots on the border. We may need your medical expertise to care for our shinobi" Hiruzen commented.
"Tomorrow, early in the morning, meet me at Konoha Hospital if you want to study Medical Ninjutsu. I want you to be there at the right time. My training will be difficult, remember this. Once you start, I'll 'not allow you to live halfway." Tsunade warned me about medical ninjutsu training.
"I'll be there, just in time. There is no pleasure in training if it is not difficult." I replied to him when I left the office.
------------
The next day, early in the day, early in the morning,
I was preparing to leave for the hospital because the prospect of learning medical ninjutsu bothered me. I was a medical student in my previous life; I wanted to see the difference between the knowledge of the two worlds.
There is not much difference between the human anatomy of this world and my previous world, except the additional Chakra Network in humans. I hope my previous knowledge will help here.
After a few minutes, I stood at the entrance of Konoha Hospital waiting for Tsunade to appear. After waiting another fifteen minutes, Tsunade appeared with Shizune.
I looked at her with a questioning look as I asked her,
"You're late Tsunade-san. I'm on time, you're the one who's late."
Tsunade ignored my question as she pointed at Shizune and spoke,
"You two must know each other, right? Still, let me introduce, he is Shizune." Tsunade pointed at me and continued,
"And Shizune, he's Izuna. You two will practice medical ninjutsu under my guidance."
"Talci-san! I have a mission too. So, I'll only practice if there's no mission." I reminded Tsunade of my other identity.
"It's okay. When you go out on a mission, I'll focus on Shizune. I want to train him as my successor in medical Ninjutsu. But that doesn't mean I'll underestimate you. Now let's hurry up and start your training. " Tunade convinced me.
Tsunade took us to the library of Konoha Hospital. He took out many heavy books from various bookshelves and slammed them into the table in front of us. The table creaks because of the weight of the book.
Shizune and I gulped at the thickness of the book. Tsunade noticed our expressions as she asked,
"What are you thinking? You think we're going to start by taking care of the patients and healing the people around us.
We need to learn to walk before we can run. These books will help you gain a basic understanding of Medical Ninjutsu."
Tsunade picked up a thick book as she slammed it in front of us.
"You will start with this book, 'History of Medical Ninjutsu'. This book will help you understand the history of medical ninjutsu, its origins, needs, and importance in the shinobi world."
Tsunade picked up another book and slammed it onto the table. The table creaked and bent under the weight of the book.
"This is the 'Encyclopedia of Herbs and Medicines'. Memorize the details of every potion and medicine written in this book."
Tsunade took another thick book and placed it on the table. The table leg stretched out as it almost collapsed under its weight.
This was the Summary of Potions and Deadly Poisons. They are categorized as separate from other plants because toxins are biological weapons that can take lives. Just by utilizing poison, the mastermind Chiyo of Sand became formidable during the 'Second Shinobi War'. This book contains information about some common poisons and their antidotes."
"This is the 'Essentials of Shinobi Anatomy and Physiology'. It contains detailed information about shinobi anatomy. Various organs, meridians, and pathways of the human body. Hammer all the information in your brain."
Tsunade took another book. At this moment, Shizune and I's expressions had turned from ugly to pale as we looked in horror at all the books Tsunade had in hand.
"This is the 'Summary of Diseases and Deformities'. This book records all the diseases found in the Shinobi to date. Be sure to read this carefully. You can't take care of your patients if you don't know their illness."
The table collapsed and broke due to the weight of the heavy books.
"You should finish this book in a week. After a week, I will test your knowledge and will assess your abilities accordingly. Once this collection is complete, you will have to memorize another set of books to further improve your abilities.knowledge."
Tsunade pointed at the pile of other books that were beside her. Desperation appeared in our eyes as we looked at the high pile of books in horror. Shizune and I swallowed a mouthful of saliva as Shizune asked,
"Tsunade-sama, after reading these books, can we practice Medical Ninjutsu?"
Tsunade looked at Shizune and hesitated for a moment before she replied,
"For now, just focus on memorizing these books. I'll tell you about your next move once you finish these books."
I could feel that there was more to his words. In the original series as well, Tsunade wanted to train Shizune as his successor but ended up choosing Sakura over Shizune. Shizune has an above average talent for medical Ninjutsu. He's not a top-tier talent, but he's pretty close to it.
'So, he did not want to lower Shizune's spirit on the first step. I can understand his feelings as I recall my previous Surgical training hours on corpses. It was a frustrating task to say, but that hard work ultimately led me to earn my degree.'
"Yes, Tsunade-san! Tsunade-games!" We both replied to Tsunade as we started reading books.
I took the 'Essentials of Shinobi Anatomy and Physiology' to read first. I want to know about the difference between Shinobi bodies and Normal Humans.
After reading for a while, I could not find much difference between the two except the Chakra system. The body of a Shinobi is more durable than that of a Normal Human.
Due to the Chakra System, all the internal organs of a Shinobi are coated in a thin layer of Chakra that prevents them from moving from their position due to the shocks caused by the various supernatural abilities of the Shinobi.
I always wondered how the Shinobi prevented their mouths from burning fire when they used fire jutsu. Today, I got my answer.
I read a book on anatomy for four hours straight as I used my Sharingan to record information as I turned the page. Every time I see something new and different, I will stop and analyze that information for a while. Tsunade will check on us from time to time.
After another hour, I finished the entire book as I stood up and stretched my body. Tsunade and Shizune were surprised to see me finish a book so quickly.
"Son, have you read and memorized an entire book," Tsunade asked me.
I nodded at him as I pointed at my Sharingan.
"It's easy to memorize the details through the use of my Sharingan. You are free to ask me any question from this book."
Tsunade asked me a few times and I answered her perfectly.
"Damn! These Uchiha and their Sharingan." Tsunade cursed the Uchiha about how unfair it was.
"Hey! That's not polite. You can't curse us for our ability." I angrily looked at Tsunade.
“Ok! Ok! Memorizing it is okay, but you also have to know the meaning of the knowledge you learn.
Before you start your next book, be sure to digest all of the information from this book. Go and relax for a while. You can read the next book from tomorrow onwards."
Infuriated…
Izuna's stomach growled hungry.
"I can't wait to eat Ramen."
Izuna walked out of the hospital, jumped onto a nearby roof, and disappeared.
