LOVE IN TASBIH DETAILS

LOVE IN TASBIH DETAILS
CHAPTER 53 LETTER FROM ABAH

Before long Aisyah appeared with a wooden box that was about the size of an adult shoe box, dark brown.

"What's this?" Bram asked as he looked at Aiayah curiously, as Aisyah took a seat in front of Bram.

"A gift I told you the other day, something I really wanted to give you but never gave you." Aisyah placed the box slowly on the wooden table in front of them.

Bram frowned and recalled that on the day that Abah died, he and Aisyah had called because Bram had told him about the information about Aisyah's father. Aisyah said abah was eager to meet her to give her a gift and could not wait to meet Bram.

"Why that day, when I was about to prepare for Friday prayers on the day of his death, he called me..." Aisyah looked fixedly at the box in front of her.

"I remember, that last day, his face was so bright, even a smile could not escape his lips." The corner of Aisyah's lips was drawn into a corner, forming a faint smile review.

"Then you called me and told me, come and sit with you, and you will soon go to God's house." Isah was silent for a moment as if recalling that day.

"I think because that day you will go to Friday prayers, he said that because he only wanted to go to the mosque. I never knew if it turned out to be a signal that you were going to be gone forever." Aisyah continued, her eyes were clear slightly glazed but the small smile remained to decorate her lips.

"That I have no message except to rub my head and kiss the top of my head, the only thing he did when I was a kid. But, differently he hugged me for so long and said, My wife has grown up, I'm so proud of you." Aisyah took a breath, letting Bram look at her with a clingy look almost unnoticed.

"But I seem to remember more about Bram mas.several times I asked Bram mas news, and when I said, that afternoon Bram would come to see him, you look very happy. Then, he gave me this box." Aisyah pushed slowly the box of cocooned wood in front of Bram.

"Give this to Bram, if you're late to come home.Tell him I believe it. That's all he said. I know what that means, but it was my last meeting with my brother before Bram came and brought the news of his passing..." Aisyah did not cry, she looked even tougher now.

A moment of silence, Bram termangu.

"Take this box, mas. Here is a message for Mas Bram. Whatever it is, may Bram sincerely accept it." Said Aisyah breaking silently.

With a slightly trembling hand Bram grabbed it.

"May I. May I open it?" asked Bram in doubt.

"This thing belongs to Bram now because you want it so. Whatever Bram wants to do." Answer Aisha.

"I'll go inside for a little while, maybe Bram wants a cup of coffee. I'll brew it for Bram's mas." Aisyah went away, Bram died with a wooden box that was.

Bram grabs the box closer to the top of his lap, a bit heavy which makes Bram even more curious about what it is.

The box was unlocked, with the bismillah in motion Bram's lips opened it nervously.

The first one he saw was a Qur'an that was not large, did not look new but still good, then underneath a neatly folded prayer mat, in a dashed blue with a tassel on the edge.

Bram felt haru, seeing what my brother really wanted to give him, it turned out to be a set of worship tools. Abah was so eager to see Bram remember God even when he was no longer.

Bram lifted her up carefully, kissing her solemnly.

"Thank you, brother.your gift is so beautiful." Bram whispered in a hoarse voice. Then his eyes focused on the bottom of the box, apparently there was still something left in it.

A prayer beads of light brown wood. And a piece of mail in a neatest white envelope.

Bram stunned, did you leave a letter for him?

Jemari Bram felt numb, he took the letter and held it for some time.

He stared for a moment at the door, Aisyah had not yet seen coming out of the house. Bram decided to open the letter.

Slowly Bram opened his folds and his eyes were fixed on the beautiful writing that seemed to be adept at writing, as beautiful as calligraphy.

To : My son Bram

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatulli wabarakatuh.

When Bram reads this letter, he may be on a long way to the place where his wife and children are waiting.

I'm really sorry if I can't meet Bram and give this gift to Bram.

Today, as you write this letter, it is exactly 421 days since we met in the early hours of that beautiful morning.

Did you know Bram, I dreamt that night of seeing the moon covered in black clouds and strangely I could reach for the moon, get it out of the fog and hug it tightly.

I see you the fragile, the frightened, the desperate. And seeing you cry as if seeing myself in this body of mine.

Son Bram, your determination to repent nasuha made me learn a lot, that in this life I have nothing to fear anymore. God never leaves his people in any situation, only we sometimes run too far.

Son Bram, I have nothing to give you as a memento, except a Sajjadah where I have knelt down to seek the face of the Lord, perform worship, where my bath is calm. I hope this prayer mat will accompany you on your journey to take away the sins of the past.

Son Bram, this Qur'an is a gift from a great teacher in the boarding school, he is my in-laws who have left my beloved daughter for me. Take it for you and one day I hope you can remember how much God loves you by reading each of his verses.

And...

Lastly, there was a prayer beads I made myself with my hands, I shaped them with affection, though I finished them for so long but was finally able to make it on time.

Do not forget your Thought, then God will forgive you all your iniquities, even if our sins are like the foam of the sea.”

Son Bram, my last wish, I'll leave my daughter Isah to you, and my grandson Tito. Find someone who can love and make my wife happy in the world and can guide her to till land. If her father can't get her married, I trust you to be his guardian.

And for you someday, then,

Fall in love because you love God, not because you love his creatures and seek God....

Waalaikumusalam Warahmatullahi.

From : Abah who loves you.

Tears fell on the corner of Bram's eye reading Abah's letter without even saying goodbye.

In his hand was tightly the letter Abah while grabbing the prayer beads in his box.

Meanwhile, Aisyah was stunned by the door, holding the tray with a cup of coffee on it. His eyes were on the prayer beads Bram had in his hand, the same prayer beads he had given him, on his birthday, six months ago!
