Mathelina

Mathelina
the chapter 30

Instantly the atmosphere in the room froze like a touch of ice magic. Both Monika and Goddess were both, even more shocked than earlier.

What happened to that submissive boy? Since childhood has been fed by the moral advice of religious easterners. Everything Matthew absorbed and applied in everyday life. Then why did he break it? Did the Goddess, who as a mother, still lack other advice? Or because of the London splendor that made Matthew change?

The goddess was shocked. He was so sad that his asthma recurred before his tears could come out.

Matthew and Monika panicked when they heard the mother's breath faltering while holding her chest. They approached, including Elina who was just standing nearby. Then, Monika and Matthew take her out of the house to the car. Elina walks after them, but is prevented by Matthew, telling her to wait at home. Monika drives forward her car, taking Dewi to a nearby hospital.

-;-;-;-

Monika walks back and forth in front of her mother's room being treated with a feeling of anxiety. Waiting for the doctor, who checked on her mother, to get out of the room and immediately notify her of her condition.

He glanced at Matthew, who was sitting in this hallway, with fingers held together to support his chin. Distressed pensive, sometimes frustrated sighs and sit with fret.

This incident, I don't know who is to blame. He needs to know what happened, and he's talking about it now. He approached Matthew, then sat down beside him. Matthew also looked.

"How did this happen?" ask her slowly and calmly. "You can't be like that, if it wasn't for Elina's seduction, right?"

Matthew stared furiously. Her sister could have accused Elina like that. "Is it in your eyes, Elina looks like that?" tanyanya.

As long as she knew Elina, all she looked like was a gentle, polite girl, always keeping a low profile. But it's not what looks on the outside, it's not necessarily the same as what's in his heart, is it?

"Then, tell. How did the pregnancy begin?" said Monika diverts.

Matthew recounts the beginning of a holiday tragedy designed by his three friends, then gave him a high-grade alcohol drink and viagra, and then the rape he committed, without saying the truth about Elina who is a call woman.

At first Monika is surprised, but she changes her view of Matthew; her sister never changes, the pregnancy is due to accident. He was a little relieved, although his anxiety had not disappeared because this problem was not over.

"Then why aren't you married?" Monika continued to ask.

Matthew tightly locked his mouth, lowered and pensive. The answer to this question is heartbreaking. This has to do with his heart.

"Why would I marry her, if Elina didn't love me?" reply bitter. "I made a pact with her: I would pay for it during pregnancy, until our baby was born. Elina will give me the child to take care of, after which she will be gone forever."

Monika closed her mouth, surprised, not believing Elina to be that selfish.

With no response, Matthew continued, "That house, I rented for a year for him to live in."

"What about her parents? Do they know?"

Matthew shook his head. "Mother and sister don't know, only Elina's friend knows. They've agreed to keep the pregnancy a secret."

Monika straightened her body. "Why don't you just persuade her to marry him?"

Matthew looked up and looked into his brother's eyes. "How did you feel when Dimas proposed to you?"

Monika was silent.

"I don't want to force Elina. You already know how to finally get married by force, right?" Matthew continued. Then, he leaned back while sighing. "I don't want to hurt her, even though I know she won't be like you. I'd better get hurt."

Monika looked at her younger sister's goal, catching something behind her words. While saying that, Matthew leaned his head against the wall, his eyes scowling. The words he spoke sounded sincere. Could this....

"Matthew,"he called.

Matthew looks. "Hmm?"

"Do you love Elina?"

Before saying so, Matthew was silent for quite a while staring at Monika, like he was weighing something. Then, he answered softly, "Yes, I love Elina very much."

-;-;-;-

Elina at home waited in dismay. The man did not give any news and was difficult to contact. What the hell's been going on? And the night is getting late. He was unceasingly anxious, waiting in the living room while continuing to look towards the door.

He immediately stood up, seeing the door opened from the outside by Matthew. The man was stunned, finding the girl was stepping towards him.

"How is Madam Goddess?" his pedicab.

"Doctors have dealt with it. Don't worry" replied Matthew. "Have you eaten?"

The rice on the dinner table had cooled, as well as the fried chicken and vegetable capcay, placed in the hood, without anyone touching it.

Matthew invites Elina to the dinner table to eat with him, even though he is not appetite. If he breaks down, so does Elina. She did not want Elina to ignore her health and the baby she was carrying.

The food was devoured as usual, but Elina still did not want to eat. The rice was stirred, looking unappetizing. Matthew stopped chewing and reprimanded him.

"Eat. Don't worry about anything."

Elina looked up, silent for a moment. "It's my fault."

"There's nothing wrong," Matthew interrupted, returning to his meal

"If none of this happens...."

"Then fate will not bring us together" decak Matthew, anxious.

Both of them were silent and stared at each other for a moment. There was a feeling between the two of them, whether that was what. After that, awkwardness occurs. Elina diverts him by having to eat his food, as well as Matthew.

But then, Matthew again said, "If it wasn't you, maybe the story would be different. Maybe what I got was a cunning woman who likes blackmail. We won't know each other, share stories, and...."

Feelings. That's what he was going to reveal. But he grabbed a glass and downed the rest of the water until it ran out. After that, there was no more talk, even after the dinner was over.

Matthew helps Elina wash the dishes - she rinses the dishes that Elina has soaped, then she arranges the dishes onto the shelf. No talks that long.

Elina who was sitting at the dining table turned her head, her gaze following the direction of the man, who was now sitting next to her, with a glass of warm milk.

Matthew gave the milk to Elina, saying, "You're okay, if I live alone?"

The milk they received was not drunk immediately. Elina seemed to be thinking, then a nod she gave in response.

"You must remember, don't eat late. Let me know if anything happens. And, take care of our baby."

Our babies. Sometimes Elina felt annoyed to hear Matthew say it. He wanted to protest, also saying that he did not want to consider the baby. But this time, he was happy to hear it. "Our baby", he also wants to say it. He smiled behind a glass.

"But maybe, I won't stay in this house anymore." Matthew's voice seemed lethargic, accompanied by a sigh of heaviness.

Elina stopped drinking her milk, then glanced. To be honest, he felt disappointed in the absence of Matthew. He accompanies each night, even though the room is different. Providing a sense of security, when the terror of foreign men haunts him for the past few weeks. Looking at his face every day, cooking him food. It was a moment when his smile returned without him noticing.

"My brother is against me" Matthew continued. "I've already told you our problem. He also knows why we are not married. But in order to preserve the family's honor and my mother's health, I'm only allowed to see you."

Elina put down her glass listlessly. It's okay, it's the right idea. After all, he had no right to forbid Matthew.

"I see," muttered Elina, after a long silence. Her lips covered a thin smile, wanting to show that she was fine. "Just relax, I'll take care of myself and our baby."

Matthew's eyes were round, his heart was darting. When Elina says "our baby", there is a sense of joy and happiness. If they were a loving couple, he would be the happiest man. However, anxiety remained trapped within his mind. Elina's smile, even made her even more agitated.

-;-;-;-

Matthew called a driver to pick him up somewhere. He would go straight to the office, then order the driver to take his clothes to his mother's house.

He worked as usual, meeting with clients, and meetings, like that almost every day for two months. He also visited Elina almost every afternoon. Even though the girl asked for nothing, she still brought food, milk - if it was finished - which she immediately put in the refrigerator.

The girl hasn't changed at all, only their relationship isn't as close as it was yesterday. Elina asks Matthew about his family, his job, and his health. Matthew was happy to see the change in their relationship, but still he did not expect to marry the woman.

Not only that change, there was another change in Elina. Her stomach. Her age has entered the fourth month. Elina's stomach began to bulge, had begun to get tired easily in doing some work, sometimes difficult to walk. His feet are swollen too. The clothes he was wearing now were loose negligees.

However, seeing the change made it even harder for Matthew to hold back. Elina is getting sexy and exciting, with her distended belly. Her common sense is whipped by roaring lust, until she often imagines being able to make out and make love to Elina.

He shook his head, put that thought away. Instead, he concentrated on driving his car that was driven towards his mother's house. He entered the house, greeting his mother, who was with Monika and Justin in the living room.

"How's Elina doing?" asked the Goddess, to Matthew who was already sitting next to her.

"Good, Ma. He is very healthy" replied Matthew.

"Matthew, tomorrow's month, I'll take Elina USG?" said Monika. "I'm curious to see your daughter's gender."

Matthew glanced at him sharply. How could it be so, he was also curious about the gender of the baby. "No. I'll deliver Elina Ultrasound" he said.

"But it...."

"I am the father of the baby. I'm the one who has the right to know first the gender of my son" Matthew said.

Monika closed her mouth, and smiled. Ah, this sister is so funny. Is this the behavior of a father-to-be?

The goddess turned to Matthew, returning to discuss the topic of Elina. "Did she have any complaints during pregnancy?"

Matthew will answer, but Monika interrupts. "There's Matthew complaining, Ma." Then, he smiled scornfully as he glanced at Matthew.

In his heart Matthew muttered in annoyance. His sister is ashamed. Fortunately, Dewi did not understand the meaning of the Monika joke.

Instead of being bullied again with Monika, he better say goodbye to her room, resting himself from the fatigue of mind, physical, and inner.

He threw himself into the bed, leaning on the head of the bed but not closed. The shadow of Elina swirled continuously on his head. "Ah, scram! why bother me?" he said in his heart. But....

He grabbed his phone that was on the nightstand. Turning on the screen of his phone, a photo of Elina appeared that became the wallpaper of his phone. The girl was smiling while looking at the cup she was holding. Wearing a rather wide beige canal, but unable to hide her protruding belly.

Matthew smiled. The photo he took secretly, as they were chatting in the living room of the house he rented. These past two months, he had always enjoyed the sweet smile that was on Elina's lips. Therefore, he was looking for the right moment, in order to take his picture.

Her index finger was pointed at the phone screen, caressing a photo of Elina, specifically to her stomach. In a few weeks, she will know the sex of her child .. No, the fruit of their love. Male or female? He doesn't care. Seeing her baby born into the world was enough to make her happy.

Is Elina also looking forward to this? She hoped, Elina changed her mind, and opened her heart to this man. He wanted, the little fingers of their son to be led along with him and Elina.

-;-;-;-

Suddenly the schedule changes? Matthew was furious at his secretary. This afternoon he was free, so he could invite Elina to have lunch outside together. But the schedule of meetings with clients suddenly changed. He was forced to turn the steering wheel of his car towards a restaurant in the Grand hotel.

The restaurant is on the 2nd floor of the building. Matthew stepped inside the restaurant alone, without his secretary, because the client only wanted to see him.

The client was a British woman, waiting at table number 15, located in the middle of the room. Without wasting any time, Matthew stepped towards a woman in a white dress whose brown hair was left untouched.

Upon arriving in front of him, the woman turned her head and smiled. He stood up, then extended his right hand as he said in English, "Hi, I'm Karenina Adams."

-;-;-;-

Elina who just got the WhatApp message from Matthew was disappointed. But he was ready to leave.

By the time he was about to head to his room, the sound of the door being knocked sounded. Then he turned around, approached the door, which he opened.

A very familiar middle-aged man, standing with a shiny teak stick before him, with a meaningful-looking smile.

Elina dumbfoundedly looked at him, and asked somewhat doubtfully, "Who is it?"[]
