[Season 2] CHAPTER FORTY TWO

Love and longing are sometimes felt. However, all of that had passed, trying to bury him deeply.

And when he comes back to his life, he starts to falter. Anna could not replace herself in her heart, even though she began to love the child in her womb.

Logan let Nina hug him, feeling the longing slowly fall away. He remained unmoved as Nina's lips tried to touch her, slowly closing her eyes.

In just a second, he realized something. His eyes immediately gidded.

It's wrong!

Nina was surprised because Logan suddenly distanced her body, stunned because it was unusual for the man to reject her like this.

Logan frowned looking at Nina at a glance. I want to be angry, but not. Then, he left Nina, walking into the ladies' room.

"Anna!" he rang, knocking and opening each of the empty bathroom cubicles.

Nina followed. "Logan! Logan, please listen to me!" he shouted, then grabbed the man's hand.

"What?!" logan snapped, sighed Nina, then was stunned to see Nina looking shocked.

No, he hurt her.

Logan sighed, calming himself down from the snare of fear. He looked at Nina softly, then said, "Sorry, next time we talk. Go back inside, I have to find Anna."

However, Nina did not want to. He stopped Logan's departure by grabbing his waist and hugging him from behind. "What now ... am I no more important to you? Logan, I know your marriage to that woman was a mistake. I saw you doing that in an unconscious state. I realize your love is huge for me."

Logan looked up, feeling the pain in his chest throbbing. That regret, no longer matters to him. Everything that has happened cannot be replayed.

"Nina," he said, released Nina's hand that was coiled around her waist. "Forgot me. Find a man who can make you happy."

"But you're the only one who can do it" Nina said in the middle of her jostle.

"I already have Anna."

"But you don't love him, do you?"

Logan's stunned. Even if it was true, he could not love Nina again like before.

"I know," said Nina, sighing in the chest. "You can't leave that woman because of the child she's carrying, but you don't have to be tied up. We can still love each other, forge secret relationships. Or, you can make me the second."

Logan's eyes glared, turning back. "You're crazy!" slowly snapped.

"Yes, I'm crazy! Crazy to miss you! Crazy for loving you! My heart breaks when you prefer him!"

"Enough!" logan said, pointing his index finger at Nina's face. "This is the last time you show your face!"

Logan turned around with a heart. The words that would hurt Nina until her tears fell were forced out of her mouth to keep Nina away from her.

However, Nina still had her despair. She thought Logan stopped stepping back to her. In fact, Logan was just picking up the phone from Aurellie.

"Yes, hello Auntie?"

"Logan, where are you?"

"I was looking for Anna around the bathroom. What's up, Auntie?"

"So I met Anna. His face looks pale. He said he was gonna take a break in the car."

Between anxiety and relief that's what Logan feels. After that, he turned off the phone, half running away from this place without caring for Nina who was downcast sadly.

Logan entered the parking area, rushing towards the parked black luxury car. The driver was standing outside the car, bowing respectfully when Logan got there.

Anna's asleep.

Logan got into the car and sat down next to Anna. The suit she was wearing was released to cover Anna's body. Then, Logan moved Anna's head leaning against her shoulder.

The man in the driver's uniform got into the car. Logan orders him to drive the car to their hotel for the night. He also asked the driver to drive the car carefully.

However, even so, Logan held Anna in his arms, making sure Anna's head remained leaned against his shoulder. In fact, he also held onto Anna's stomach, where the little foetus was resting because of his anxious horn.

Unintentionally, he stared at Anna's face. Then, all the words and events between her and Nina flashed.

"But you don't love him, do you?"

I don't know, Logan doesn't know what kind of feeling he's feeling for Anna. But for sure, he doesn't hate her, he wants to protect her.

Charlotte clasped her wine glass tightly. Every explanation spoken from his confidant made his heart hotter.

The wine he had sucked in tasted bitter like medicine. He no longer desires to soak in hot water filled with flower petals.

Then, he got out of the bathtub, put on his bath pajamas, then walked towards his room. In the corner of this room, there was a long mirror, he was standing there, watching his aging body and face.

"Damn!" objurgation. "My plan failed! The shareholders are useless! If it's like this, how do I get Matthew's fortune?"

His hands clenched tightly, panting from the blast of his crush. He thought of a vase of flowers, then threw it into the mirror until it broke into pieces.

"Only one plan remains. Anyway, the plan has to work!"

As his nephew and his wife came to London, Aurellie invited them to a barbeque party in her yard after returning home from Church.

Anna is very happy, especially Logan does not know where to take her for a walk.

Aurellie has a pair of identical twin girls who are very cute. They are about 7 years old. They are very familiar with Anna, but not with Logan. His attitude is stiff, even though Logan is his cousin.

Logan chooses to help Aurellie's husband who is baking a barbeque. Anna and Aurellie's twins set the table with a variety of other foods.

"Does the Auntie's family have this event every week?" anna asked as she filled the glass with red ice syrup.

"No," Aurellie replied, putting strawberries on the table. "Sometimes, we eat out, go to amusement parks. Anyway, we do family activities every week. I'm preparing this event because you and my niece are going to London."

Anna smiled. Turns out, Jonathan's family were all very well— was more concerned with the family, except for that man who was grilling meat there! His nature is very different with papa and mama. He guessed, maybe Logan was the son of Elina and Matthew.

However, Anna did not know, behind Logan's haughty nature, there was a warm look of attention in her eyes. Anna didn't realize it because she was chatting with the twins.

Only, Logan was too prestigious to point it out, so he hurried to look the other way when Anna turned her face to the man.

After finishing grilling the meat, Logan was about to approach Anna. However, just a few steps away, he stopped because of the arrival of someone who made his mood instantly break down.

"Hello, good morning, Brother Aurellie," Kenan greeted the owner as he approached her.

Anna turned to the man, surprised for a moment, then smiled. "Dine? When are you here?" ask when their views meet.

Logan grunting. Anna greeted him before her eyes? "Yes, what business are you doing here?" he asked as he walked towards Anna, then stood beside her.

Anna frowned in annoyance at the cynical-pitched question, let alone Logan's strange attitude that suddenly embraced his shoulder. What the fuck is that guy?

Kenan's facial expression turned cold when he saw that scene. Shortly after, he laughed. "Of course because I miss someone."

When Kenan said that, his gaze and smile led to Anna. Logan looked at him coldly with a sharp gaze and a clenched hand firmly.[]
