Mathelina
[Season 2] CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT

"Do you remember me, Matthew?"

"My life may be 60 years, but I am not as good as you" Matthew said coldly and without glancing at the woman. "What do you want?"

The woman named Charlotte smiled. "Your response is very quick. But, don't you want to know about your stepmother first?"

Matthew let out a long sigh, staring at the woman lazily. "How's Aurellie doing?"

"Well! Do you love your stepbrother more than I do? How long do you hate me? Your father is dead, and your hate should be reduced, right?"

I don't know what the woman wants, Matthew can't stand to linger with her. "I'm busy. If there's nothing you want to say, please come out!"

Charlotte laughed loudly while keeping her mouth shut. "OKAY. Before, I wanted to ask. Have you written a will on the division of assets." Matthew frowned hearing it. "Then I have a suggestion for you."

"I don't want to die yet, so I don't have to make or hear your advice" Matthew said quickly, cynically.

Charlotte clenched her hands, furious. However, he tried to hold back and returned smiling. "There's no harm if you hear my advice now. So here's. If you love Aurellie, make her the principal owner of the Jonathan Group in London."

Matthew looked at him expressionlessly, then smiled scornfully. "Your age is no longer young, don't you remember God?" He nodded while clicking his tongue. "Your greed has not gone away."

From the past until now, Matthew always throws spicy words that burn his heart. In the past, he held all because he did not want to be considered bad in William's eyes. Now, the old man had rotted with the ground. So, is it time for him to throw all the anger he harbors?

Charlotte was going to do that, but this time it seemed like she had to endure it again and relented. Otherwise, what is the goal will not be achieved.

"Well! Matthew, it's not because of me, but for Aurellie's sake" he said, somewhat softened.

Matthew held his body. "Aurellie's already got her share of the inheritance without demanding more. He's also been placed in a position that suits his abilities."

Matthew furious. That woman could have cornered him. "Who said I don't have an heir?"

"Logan mean?" hatch Carlotte, scorn. "You want to give it to a kid who doesn't have a clear origin? Just be right! Better, you give it to your stepbrother, who is clearly as bad as you—"

Matthew's blood boiled, and he suddenly got up from the chair and hit the table. "Shut your mouth!"

"I don't want to keep my mouth shut, I'm sick of being belittled by you" Carlotte replied.

"Who dare you say that to me?"

"I'm your stepmother!"

"Sister-in-law?" matthew, exclaiming. Her cynical laughter grew. "Even I've never admitted you!"

Charlotte glared her eyes, but was silent a thousand languages.

"Luckily, Aurellie was taken care of by me and Elina. If not, maybe he'll be as tall as his mother" Matthew said. "Go!"

Charlotte was out of words, there was nothing she could do but grab her bag and walk out of this room with a swift step. Outside the room, he meets Logan.

Logan was stunned for a moment, then greeted, "Hello, Omma—" However, Charlotte ignored him and flashed in front of him just like that with a sour face.

Logan stared at his departure, then glanced at Matthew's office door. Did they just talk? What were they talking about, until her grandmother got so upset?[]
