Mathelina

Mathelina
Chapter 42

"Cielaaahp. Someone has been proposed," exclaimed Raima teasing Elina. "So, when is the wedding planning? Later, I'll be the fence huh?"

Elina laughs. There's-there's Raima. The woman was overjoyed and laughed at Matthew's process of proposing to Elina. With all his heart he congratulated him.

"Later Matthew's family will come home to make a formal application procession, but after Matthew returns from London."

"Gapain to get there?" decak Raima, who is anxious because such an important thing must be delayed.

Elina shook both shoulders. "He just said there was business."

Raima sipped her coffee in favor. It's different, drinking coffee in the same cafe in Warkop. The atmosphere is quieter, with soft jazz songs pampering the ears, rather than dangdut songs from a single organ recording. And again, he did not feel hot because there was AC. But the price of a glass of coffee is very expensive. Fortunately, Elina did.

"Perhaps, he's actually making another surprise for you, or maybe preparing for a wedding in London" Raima said. But his smile disappeared, as he said, "Well, if the marriage is there, I can't come. No money."

Raima was all right, Elina was chuckling at it. "I'll buy you a ticket, to London."

"Really!" raima exclaimed, and Elina nodded.

At Matthew's residence, Dewi and Monika had prepared everything for the proposal. Although not yet know when, for sure the list must first be made.

For the sake of smooth application process, Dewi agreed with Monika to keep it a secret from William.

"But, Ma, you can tell from his man."

Monika shouldn't have spoken like that. A frown appeared on the Goddess' face. However, he does not chimed in and divert the anxiety by focusing on the list he made while hoping Matthew will return soon and finish his marriage with Elina.

-;-;-;-

As night fell, Elina stared out the window. Cloudy, dark clouds covered the night sky, moon, and stars. Usually he looks grim, but now he feels happy, although this longing is torturous.

Two days left for London. Can only look at his face through a video call, can not feel the touch and kiss real.

Elina stared at her phone screen. He didn't contact her. Is he busy? He sighed. To whom was the question asked? No one can answer that.

His head leaned against the window sill, pondering again. He suddenly jolted because his phone was shaking in his hand. His smile grew, seeing the name of a person who was dancing in his mind, appearing on the screen of the phone. But just calling? Not a video call like yesterday?

"Hello?"

"Have you slept?" the owner answered the heavy voice on the other end of the phone.

Unknowingly Elina shook her head. "Not yet."

"What time is it? Isn't it night?"

"Em .. hasn't been sleepy."

There was a crisp sound. "Definitely think of me again?"

Elina smiled. Yes, Matthew, your Elina really misses you.

"What are you doing?"

"Streetings. Find the wind." After Elina said "oh", it was quiet for a while. Then, Matthew said again, "Again outside?"

Elina frowned. "No, again in the room."

"If so, come out for a minute."

"Well?" elina asked, feeling strange.

"Don't ask too many questions. Just get out, get on the porch."

Although Elina felt this was awkward, she still obeyed Matthew. Then, he walked out of the room, past the already deserted living room.

Now, he's on the porch. He was confused as to what Matthew wanted to say, so he told him to come here.

"It."

Just now he said so, the fence of his house suddenly someone knocked. Elina was shocked for a moment and was astonished, who came at this hour? While clicking his tongue, he opened the door.

The surprise! Matthew stood in front of her, smilingly welcoming Elina. The girl returned her smile, turning off the phone along with Matthew.

"Shocked?" ask Matthew.

"Em .. Not really?"

"Lucky. Then I'll be here tomorrow."

Elina hugged Matthew. He was actually surprised, but he lied because he wanted to tease Matthew.

"I'd rather you come now" muttered Elina softly with a smile.

"Masa? But we'll see you here tomorrow."

"Why what?"

"You want to be honest about our relationship with Mom and Frasya" Matthew replied. "You're ready, right?"

Elina bit her lower lip. It had been a few days since he had thought of this plan, but doubts continued to cry out in his heart. The image of disappointment depicted on the faces of his sister and mother haunts him. Not to mention that Mom got sick.

Seeing Elina's response bowed down sadly, Matthew understood that it was very hard to express to Mother and Frasya. Matthew did so at first, but that fact could not be postponed, before they knew it from others.

Matthew put his hand on Elina's shoulder. "Don't hesitate anymore. If you can't tell them, let me tell them."

Elina looked up, her eyes round looking at the man. Caught alone? No, Elina wouldn't let Matthew do that.

"I'll say it too" Elina said. "I have no doubt, Matthew. After work, we talk about our past to Mom and Frasya."

Matthew appreciated Elina's decision. Therefore, it needs a gift for him, which is a hug and kiss on the forehead. Hopefully this can calm the heart of Elina who is in a dilemma.

-;-;-;-

William walked into the restaurant to meet someone. Ever since hearing Karenina's emotional decision, she immediately made an appointment with the girl.

He saw the girl, who calmly poured a glass of wine as William's welcome.

Let alone being touched, the wine glass was not glimpsed at all. He sat observing, and said, "What is this? Why did you decide to give up?"

Karenina's eyes slowly glanced at him. A smile from her red lips glimmered lightly. "Not giving up, but letting go. At first I was always ignored by Matthew, even his harsh words burned my heart. But I'm self-introspecting, that it's not good to force Matthew whose heart belongs to someone else." Pouring wine into the glass, he muttered, "All my efforts have been in vain."

William did not acknowledge, still observed, and concluded: this child spoke drunk. Just deserve.

Feeling free, William moved from his chair, after sipping a glass of wine poured by Karenina again. Then, he walked away without saying anything.

Really bad day! That was the case at that time. But it was not just that day that made his mood even more chaotic. Her man reports that Matthew and Elina have met again. He also panicked. His cell phone which became his glass impingement William's life plan is almost perfect. It was lying on the floor, broken and messy as a result of being slammed. Then, the chair kicked him.

If it's like this, great hope that the love of Matthew and Elina will return to bloom. He could not let his family's honor be tarnished because of that lowly girl. Because it's the one who deserves to be with Matthew, not Elina.

So, he needed to talk about this precarious thing to Matthew, when the boy was in London. But unfortunately, Matthew's arrival is unknown to him. So, he had found Matthew's apartment, which he had occupied for almost two years, empty, because he had gone to Jakarta that morning as well.

William finally arrived in Jakarta. No matter the Goddess's warning that forbade him from entering his house, William would go there and stay at the house. At that time, he had reached home, when Matthew had left for the office.

"Where's Matthew?" ask William who immediately played just enter the house, without being invited by the Goddess.

The woman followed him after closing the door, with an irritated look. "Would you come here? Have you forgotten the etiquette of manners?"

William doesn't care. He looked and snapped. "Where's Matthew?" The voice shriveled until it was heard by Monika, who just went straight downstairs.

"He's going to the office" replied the cold Goddess.

The man was satisfied to hear it. Without saying anything, William walked out of the house. He wanted to go to Matthew's office. But because a new information was obtained, he told the driver to drive his car to another place.

-;-;-;-

Not really impatient apparently. Somehow since when, Matthew has been waiting for him in the parking lot, right next to Elina's bike. As soon as she saw the man, Elina immediately smiled and ran towards Matthew.

"I think you want to do what's in the movie-run towards her lover, then hug and kiss her" Matthew said. "Luckily my hands are not stretched out. Otherwise, shame me for being a kegeeran."

Elina chuckles. "Yes, shame dong, if you do that in public. It's thought there's been filming an Indian movie." Then, they both laughed.

So, let's go pick up our happiness! Matthew stretched out his hand, which was then grasped by Elina. They enter the car, and Matthew drives it, but not directly to Elina's house.

The girl also asked why her car was driven in the other direction? Matthew replied, he would buy something for his future in-laws and sister-in-law. He would buy fruits in the supermarket, and food in restaurants.

"The story is you want to bribe them?" cananda Elina's.

"No," said Matthew immediately denied. "Then to the home of the future in-laws with empty hands?"

Elina nodded. It was unexpected that Matthew's attention was on his family. Supposedly, he did not doubt his sincerity first. Sometimes he dreamed, if he accepted Matthew's proposal when he was pregnant, what is his happy life like now? Could there be love in their midst?

After buying what Matthew had thought, the car was driven to Elina's house.

Elina helps Matthew pick up the item in the trunk of the car, then takes it home.

Just imagining their happiness, even their laughter still lingered on their lips, a surprise that would never have been expected to emerge from behind the door of the house that Elina opened.

Greetings Elina floating on the tip of the tongue, looking at the grim state of the house. Mother bowed sadly, while Frasya was reluctant to look at her. And there, a middle-aged man she knew very well, was sitting before Mom and Frasya.

The man whose appearance was unkempt, disheveled hair, and wrinkled skin that had blackened, turned to him. "Look, the boy you've been proud of has come home."

Elina's face paled. That guy over there....

"Dad?"[]
