Manda was silent at Vani's words. Talking about Aneisha is something that Manda never discussed with anyone except Yana, the woman who previously helped her keep Neisha. Talking about Neisha seemed to reopen the wounds of Manda's past and it made her look hesitant to tell a story, but saw the serious and unpleasant face that was seen from Vani, Amanda could only nod a sign she was willing to ask.
"Sir, is Neisha's father an outsider?" asked Vani while looking at Neisha and Dara who were in the arena.
"I don't know her parents at all" said Amanda managed to surprise Vani who just stare at her.
"Did Mommy just say something?" Vani confirmed his hearing.
"Yes. I told you, I don't know Neisha's parents!" Manda repeated his words again, which somehow he began to want to be frank with Vani, a figure he thought he could trust other than Bu Yana.
"I mean Ma'am?" Vani is confused by Amanda's words.
"Neisha is not my daughter. My marriage and Mas Alan only lasted one week because he had an accident and was pronounced dead" Amanda said with teary eyes.
"Mr, I'm sorry. I don't mean to make Mbak sad, we just change the subject of our conversation, yeah." Vani feels bad for Amanda.
"It's okay, Van, I want to tell you a story, if you want to hear it, that's all right" Amanda said, wiping away her tears.
"I'm ready to listen, if you don't mind, but if it's just going to make you sad, then just keep it and don't get it out" Vani said, holding Amanda's hand, trying to calm Amanda down.
"I'm fine, I'm sad just because I miss her so much, especially I can't see her on the last day before she leaves" Amanda said, trying not to cry.
"meaning? You didn't show up on his last day?" vani asked increasingly confused.
"Mas Alan had an accident while out of town, I was late to learn about the news of his accident because no one told me, because all members of Alan's family no one liked me. I only found out about his disappearance after he was buried, and that was from someone else," Amanda said, unable to hold back her tears that began to drip.
"After Alan's departure, I kept trying to get close to them, but still they hated me so much, they even said that I was the cause of my husband's accident" Amanda said.
"Why? What don't they like about you?" vani asked, as he himself felt there was nothing less than Amanda.
"Because I'm a man without a father and an orphan" Amanda replied, stopping her crying and smiling at Vani who was filled with heart to hear Amanda's life story.
"I lived alone in my husband's house after he left, a few months after he left, I found Neisha right at my doorstep, when she was a baby. I don't know which parents would throw away a child like her, but I feel grateful because I'm the lucky one who got the trust to take care of Neisha." Amanda smiled as she waved her hand at Neisha who was seen looking for her.
"Yes, Ma'am is very lucky to have a daughter who is so beautiful and smart like her," praised Vani who also smiled looking at Dara who approached Neisha and asked her to play again.
"If I could find out, which one is Alan?" ask Vani to look back at Amanda.
"He is a native of Jakarta" replied Manda who again surprised Vani.
"Before I lived in Jakarta, I was also born in Jakarta, I moved to Semarang when Neisha was two months old, when all the Mas Alan family indirectly got me expelled from Jakarta," he replied.
"Mbak," said Vani who felt sad about the story of Manda.
"I'm doing fine. Thank you, Vani, for hearing my story. Please take care of my secret" Amanda said, smiling at Vani reassuring Vani that she was okay.
"So calm down, you can trust me. I'm happy if Mbak wants to tell me, and I'll always be ready if Mbak wants to tell me. I salute Ma'am. Strong mother, strong mother. Believe that God will always ease the way, God will be with his people who always remember him, so as his servants, we must always remember him, he said, because he will always be there for us when everyone leaves us," said Vani smiled so calm Manda's heart that felt relieved and her burden slightly lifted after telling Vani.
