Neighbor's Blanket

Neighbor's Blanket
Chapter 4

The first thing I do when I open my eyes in the morning is stretch the muscles that feel tense and stiff due to our battle last night.

After the cape of the house, I was battered by Mas Dirga on the bed. My body felt crumpled, even hurt to move.

I lyrics Mas Dirga who is still asleep in a bare chest. Since taking supplements that he did not know where, the duration of the game is getting longer and makes me overwhelmed. Actually annoyed, but not infrequently I really enjoy it and impressed with the game Mas Dirga.

I got out of bed and went to the bathroom to clean myself up. After this I have to wait for the greengrocer in front of the house. Mas Dirga said, every morning there is a vegetable maker who passes in front of the house. Although this cluster is only inhabited by a handful of people, but still passed the car like a vegetable seller.

At least in this housing complex is not much different from our previous home. There are still mobile vegetable sellers even though this housing is somewhat better.

Opening the door of the house wide, the morning air in the city of Bandung is much fresher than the city of Jakarta. It was cold and won once.

If the residents of the house here like the mothers in the housing complex before, it would be much more comfortable living here.

While waiting for the vegetable seller to pass, I took a broom to clean the terrace and carport. Houses lined up here none of them are fitted with a security fence. There is not even a wall that borders between the terrace of one house with another terrace.

So we can interact with neighbors if both are on the terrace.

Just thinking about the neighbor, uh suddenly the next-door neighbor came out with a cup in his hand and a cigarette.

I smiled awkwardly to say hello to my soldiers.

"For Mas," Sapaku who acted pretentiously friendly. I was most shy and shy to greet a man first. But since he's my neighbor and I'm a new resident here, so be friendly.

Because after all, it's the neighbors who will help us first if we need help. Moreover, my family and Mas Dirga are very far away.

"Hemm," The man I knew named Agam just cleared his throat with a cold expression. He landed his butt on the patio chair while putting the cup that had no idea what it was. But it likely contains coffee.

"Where's dirga.? Not awake yet.?" Ask what now looks more friendly and relaxed. It was clear from the facial expression and the tone of the biaca because it was not as cold as before.

"Eh, yes Dirga is still sleeping." I became clumsy myself responding to Mas Agam's question.

"Bak Karina what are you doing.?" I asked for pleasantries, rather than looking stiff and confused what to say again. While I still have to be on the terrace to clean the yard and wait for the vegetable car to pass.

"Udah left 1 hour ago, there's work out of town." The answer is relaxed and impressed.

What might be because of the quarrel yesterday, so Mas Agam seemed indifferent when asked about his wife.

The arrival of the vegetable car saved me who had run out of chat materials. I ended our conversation by saying goodbye to Mas Agam to buy vegetables.

"Just moved, huh Neng.? Yesterday I saw that the house was still empty." Ask the greengrocer when I approach his car.

"Yes Bang," I answered briefly at the end with a thin smile.

"There's shrimp just like squid, right.?" I asked while looking for the location of the box that is usually used by vegetable sellers to store fish and the like.

"Still morning Beh, don't flirt with anyone's wife." The joke came from the house next door. Who else if not Mas Agam.

I immediately turned to her. Mas Agam seemed to be casually smoking a cigarette in his hand while staring at us.

The middle-aged vegetable seller chuckled casually, as if they were used to joking.

"Oh there's A Agam turns out."

"I don't see A, get out of the car," he said, chuckling.

"Miss Karina where is A.? Not shopping.?" After handing the shrimp and squid to me, the vegetable seller shifted to be able to see Mas Agam which is not visible if seen from the position of the vegetable seller earlier.

"Regular.!" Sahut Mas Agam is full of emphasis. There was regret from the look on his face and tone of speech. It made my curiosity even more so. It was clear that there was a big problem going on in their household.

But given the advice of Mas Dirga who forbade me from being too pampered with the life of the next door neighbor, I had to close my eyes and ears.

"The fate of having a career woman's wife, so often in a stay-at-last ya A." The vegetable man responded.

"Yes so," Mas Agam replied in a complaining tone.

Although I have tried to cover my ears, in fact the conversation of the vegetable and Mas Agam was clearly heard in my ears.

But I pretended to be busy with choosing vegetables and other cooking ingredients. When I finished choosing groceries, I immediately called the vegetable maker to calculate my total groceries.

"So 83 thousand Neng," he said as he handed over the bag of crackles containing the groceries that had just been counted.

I put a red note on him.

"This is my WA number Neng." While handing over the change, the greengrocer's brother slipped a small paper containing his WA number.

"Usually mothers here like WA if you want to buy something, so tomorrow morning I have everything prepared." Clearly friendly. I just take the paper because it's not good to reject it. Anyway one day I'll definitely need that number if I want to order something.

"Yes Bang, thank you." I hurried to go because I had to cook for Mas Dirga breakfast.

I accidentally stare into the house next door. I saw Mas Agam staring at me. His gaze made me awkward, but as much as possible still reviewed the thin and sharp smile into the house.

"Istighfar A, that's a man's wife." The greengrocer's voice sounded when I had just stepped inside the house. My steps stopped at the doorway.

I was stunned and thought hard. What did Mas Agam do until the Vegetable Brother told him to stay.

"That said who my wife is." Mas Agam's flat answer sounded inviting laughter Brother vegetable maker.

I frowned and hurried to close the door.
