21. Story

Alina raised her eyebrows to Rena.

"You're better?" ask Alina.

Rena nodded small.

"Thank you."

"He's your girlfriend?" alfian asked suddenly.

Rena stared at the man in shock at his question, as well as Alina who was no less surprised. Why did he suddenly ask like that, he thought. It was not unusual for his brother to throw questions at an inopportune moment like this.

"Dragon!" yelled Alina with a small voice. He coded his brother not to ask Rena that question.

Alina stared at Rena unwell, but Rena just put on her flat face.

"Sorry" Alfian told Rena. "Em, then brother's saying goodbye first."

"Where are you going?" ask Alina.

"There is a business for a while, you will pick up after Maghrib" he said.

Alina nodded her head and after Alfian came out of her house, she looked back at Rena. She was still unwell because of her brother's question that might offend Rena, let alone Rena now lowered her head.

"Em, sorry my brother. She doesn't know you're Andi's boyfriend."

Rena raised her head to hear Alina's words, but still did not respond to the woman's words. His eyes seemed to be moving around like he was thinking about something. He was confused as to what he should do at the moment.

After thinking for a few seconds, Rena finally decided to tell her problem to Alina. Either because he had no other choice or because Rena felt that at this time only Alina could hear the story, which surely at this time she needed a place to tell stories. Given that the woman had also seen him twice with his male friend and was almost injured for helping him.

"He's an old friend of mine."

Rena nodded, she grabbed the tea glass that was in front of her and after that resumed her story.

"About six months ago, I accidentally met Alvin at one of the restaurants while accompanying my papa to meet his client. Since then Alvin has often communicated with my father. He even invited my mother to dinner at home a few times."

"Andi didn't know about Alvin's closeness to my family. I also asked my parents not to tell Andi about Alvin's presence because they did not want Andi to misunderstand. I really have nothing to do with Alvin until anytime, his place with my parents was just our friendship when we were kids. Even I often keep my distance if Alvin visits my house."

"Alvin used to take me out a lot, but I always refused on the grounds that I was afraid Andi was angry."

"Em, sorry. Does he know you have a girlfriend?" sela Alina with a question.

"Yes, he knows. My parents already said it when he asked about my status."

"OKay?" said Alina with the intention that Rena continue the story that she interrupted.

"I know Alvin was always disappointed when I turned him down, but I had no choice but to turn him down. I really don't want to betray Andi because I love her so much. But even so, Alvin kept sending me messages even though it was rare for me to reply. And when Andi broke up with me a few months ago, Alvin seemed to find space for himself to come into my life by giving support for my grief. Every day Alvin always sends me messages in the form of encouraging sentences, even he also always calls me if I have not replied to his message for more than an hour. And since then me and Alvin have been communicating more than ever."

"I don't mean to forget Andi with Alvin's presence or find another calm with him. There really is no meaning at all. I ... I .. I also don't know why it's like that. Maybe because of the gratitude that Alvin was willing to cheer me up at that time."

Alina raised one of her eyebrows to hear Rena's reasoning, but she was still silent to hear the continuation of Rena's story.

"When I feel better. I intend to meet Andi and apologize to him. I knew I was wrong for being too jealous of you, so I meant to apologize. One week after I made up with Andi, my communication with Alvin diminished. And Alvin, who realized I was back to Andi, didn't seem to like it. He's even starting to look different, unlike the Alvin I know. Although I knew that Alvin liked me and was jealous of my relationship with Andi, but Alvin's nature and treatment of me from then on completely changed. He was very strange because he was often angry and unclear and said if I would never be happy with Andi."

"Since the beginning of her return, I've told her that I love Andi so much and just think of her as a friend. But somehow Alvin did not accept the decision to return with Andi. He even dares to play rough like you saw earlier, Al."

Rena was silent for a moment.
