41. Simple But Effective

They head to the photo studio in their own cars. Arriving at the location, they still had to wait their turn to take pictures of the others.

Alfian had only contacted the studio while on the way, so their queue position was not too far away when they arrived there. While waiting for the photo session to arrive, Rico again apologized to Alina for her delay. He also explained the reason why he was more than two hours late.

Her feelings became uncertain seeing Alina who was like this. Between being afraid and also happy to be one, she had no idea what the sweet treatment Alina was doing this afternoon.

"Honey," exclaimed Rico and Alina just answered her call with a deheman.

"Darling, why are you so weird today?" ask Rico then.

"How weird?" alina asked without changing her comfortable position.

"Just weird. You don't usually hug me."

Two seconds into silence, after which Alina took off her embrace and looked towards Rico.

"You don't like it? Sorry," said Alina with her head lowered. Makes Rico feel guilty and guilty.

"It's not so, dear." Rico pulled Alina's chin to stare at her with his left hand. "Like. I love it, but we've never had such intense physical contact. I'm just wondering."

Alina sighed, she bit her lower lip before saying a word.

Rico raised one of his eyebrows while occasionally staring at Alina. Then Alina took her breath back.

"I spoke to my family last night about your decision to propose to me."

Alina paused her sentence for a moment to see Rico's reaction.

Rico looked back at Alina by raising one of his eyebrows.

"No why-why. I just don't want to be plastered. Simple yet effective. And also...," Alina bit her lower lip hesitantly, "i don't want to take too long."

Rico smiled amusedly at Alina's bashful behavior.

"How long ago?" asked Rico trying to flirt.

"You don't want me to propose too long or don't want to take too long from the application time until the wedding day?" ask Rico again without waiting for Alina to answer his previous question.

Alina who heard that immediately looked at Rico in surprise. How can Rico…? Now Alina's face flushed with embarrassment. He may be consumed by his own words that are not finished.

"You just calm down. Once your parents are here, I will immediately ask their permission to marry you. And after getting permission, I'll take care of our marriage immediately" Rico said in a voice that sounded very confident.

"So fast?" ask Alian not to believe it.

"Is it too soon?" ask Rico back.

"Em, are you sure you want to marry me, Co?"

By then they had arrived at a restaurant that would be their lunch spot. Rico stopped his car after parking at the right place. Before exiting his car, Rico looked at Alina with a serious look and clasped his hands.

"I've never been this sure in a relationship, Al. Maybe I'm not the perfect guy for you, but I promise. .. I promise to make your days feel perfect with my presence."

Without acknowledging Rico's words, Alina immediately scattered in the man's arms. He knew Rico was serious about his words and he was also convinced that Rico would not let him down.

If Alfian and his other family could trust Rico whom they hadn't even met, then why would he still hesitate? Maybe he should completely forget the past that made his life empty. He has to trust his feelings that say if he has to trust Rico.
