Poison Eve

Poison Eve
Chapters-10

Xenephon presented documents and certificates from the Fortress Cultural Hall to the first man. Then look at Evelyn. "Master Lotz will take care of your registration" he said as he waved his palm at the man. "You wait here" said Xenephon. "I'll be right back."

"Hmh!" Evelyn nodded excitedly.

Master Lotz frowned after reading the document that Xenephon had brought. "It was unexpected that Lord Vox had finally accepted a disciple," he said.

"What?" The woman beside him was flabbergasted, then snatched the document from Master Lotz's hand.

Master Lotz now read the certificate from the Fortress Cultural Hall and gasped. "You were born with full strength?"

"Huh?" The woman beside him was again flabbergasted then looked at the certificate in Master Lotz's hands - already nearly seizing it again.

But Master Lotz's next words made the woman immediately throb.

"It's a pity that the protective fairy is a wild plant!"

"Although Lord Vox is a little strange, but Lord Vox is very skilled in the field of protective fairies, especially in assessing talent," the man who had been silent since.

"Yes, Lord Vox is indeed an expert!" sergeant the female teacher. "But only in theory."

"I think it's time for Lord Vox to come up with his theories" the man said as he developed a palm on his side, pointing towards Evelyn. "I remember, there were ten core powers of the protective fairy..."

"There is!" the female guardian rebutted the man's words, then turned back to everyone and rushed towards the other door across the room. But then it suddenly stopped while whispering, bringing its face closer to the man's ear, "But this is really ridiculous!" he added.

"After all he is the owner of the academy," Master Lotz rebuked. "Don't talk carelessly. Although no one can prove his theory true, but also no one can prove his theory wrong."

"Right," the female guardian said. "He got his Spiritual Master's degree because of that brilliant academic achievement!"

"Don't forget in the field of protective fairies, Lord Vox is a famous person!" Master Lotz reminded.

"You mean Famous Clown?" grunts the female guardian. "Anyone just thinks of it as a joke! This academy is a joke!" The female Guardian was babbling as it passed. Then stopped again at the doorway, turning to Master Lotz with a slanted smile. "You know what everyone's nickname out there is for the Dream God Academy? School of dreamers!" repelled. Then it completely disappeared behind the door.

Joke said? think Evelyn's cynical. Already know the joke he's teaching here. So what has he been teaching all along?

A joke?

Master Lotz shakes. Then take a deep breath and exhale slowly. He turned to Evelyn and forced a smile.

Evelyn smiled back, then bowed with a grim look. Don't know who the real joke is, he thought sourly.

"Wait a minute!" master Lotz. He turned around and disappeared for a moment into a room, then again brought two packs-a pair of shoes and a new uniform that was still packed with a transparent gold rigid cloth and tied with a colored ribbon. "It's being distributed free by the Academy" he said as he extended the uniform to Evelyn.

Evelyn received it with both hands while bowing, "Thank you!"

"You'll stay in the dormitory to—"

"Wait!" Xenephon suddenly appeared at the door and interrupted Master Lotz.

Evelyn and Master Lotz turned to the door.

"Lord Vox has already set Evelyn up to stay at her estate" Xenephon told reporters.

"What?" The female Guardian who had disappeared had suddenly appeared again at the other door. "Even a place to stay?" pekik surprised.

Master Lotz turned to him with his eyebrows intertwined.

Xenephon did not touch the woman's guardian. "Come, Eve!" he said quickly, then bowed at Master Lotz and pleaded with himself.

Evelyn followed behind him.

"Protectors of wild plants!"

"Estat Lord Vox is indeed exactly like its natural habitat!"

Evelyn and Xenephon had already walked out of the hall and rushed down the long hallway past the school's side grounds.

After walking far enough, they finally reached the foot of the hill and took the stone steps towards a minimalist wooden hut that was touted as the Real Lord Vox, far away secluded on the other side of the institute building.

The minimalist wooden hut on the top of the hill looks like an oriental painting with peach blossoms.

The breeze spread a cool scent when Evelyn had reached the cottage grounds. His steps were light and nimble on the cold and soft grass like silk.

The sky was orange-gray above his head. A burst of afternoon sunlight shimmered at the foot of the sky.

The gurgling of the fountain in the middle of the pond grew increasingly audible as he approached. On the edge of the pool overgrown with wild vines, looks a small gondola graceful.

Evelyn ran towards the hut, pulling the sleeves of her dress to pass through the grass.

When he reached the building, he stopped suddenly, his heart was pounding, then stood before the building, slowly his eyes and mouth rounded, displaying the curious and happy expression of a small child.

"It's so beautiful" he murmured filled with admiration. "But isn't it too remote to be the academy's owner's estate?"

"Lord Vox loves calmness," Xenephon replied as he lowered his steps behind Evelyn.

Evelyn placed her hands on the stairs and climbed three low steps, full of excitement.

Inside, he circled the wooden floor, turning his head to and fro. The skirt of her gentle dress swung around her. He turned on the stairs and found a view of an artificial lake.

There's no one.

"Where is Lord Vox?" Evelyn turned to Xenephon with her eyebrows intertwined.

"I don't think he's back from the meeting. Come here!" take Xenephon along while walking around to the other side of the cottage. "Let me show you where your room is."

Evelyn followed him enthusiastically, and arrived at a small, sloping-roofed room with a sliding door at the side of the cottage with a single bed and a low writing table near a round window.

"Alright," said Xenephon, "While waiting for Lord Vox to return, you can tidy up your own room!"

"Well," Evelyn said as she bowed towards Xenephon. "Thank you, Master!"

Xenephon smiled in a knot and passed from Lord Vox's estate.

Moments later, a man appears in Evelyn's bedroom doorway. "Are you Evelyn?" the man asked.

Evelyn turned to the door and froze.

The man was about twenty-five years old. He was wearing the same uniform as the teachers in the hall, white trousers lined with high-collared armor vests with stiff metallic shoulders, and carrying a new roll of blankets that were still packed. Her hair is golden yellow.

Looks the same age as Master Claus, Evelyn thought.

Could she…

"Master!" Evelyn bowed to the man.

The man frowned. "Ah—no, no!" quickly attack. "I'm not a guardian! Awake up!"

Evelyn looked up and glared at his face. "Not a guardian?"

"Ah—" the man stuttered.
