Poison Eve

Poison Eve
Chapters-38

"I'm sorry, Master. I lost!" Hell Catie bowed with a battered look. His pride was trampled. Feeling humiliated and crisis confident.

The arrogant-faced girl now stood grimly leaning against the mini bar in the corner of the royal-class room above first-class in the inn that was specially rented by the emperor's family.

Both of his shoulders hung limply on his sides, while around him a number of servants-men and women stood bowed with a tense look on their faces.

How not?

Hell Catie was the youngest daughter of the emperor Neraida. No wonder he was so spoiled and arrogant.

Of course all the servants became tense.

Catlyn Thunder was the type of person who could not accept defeat.

He had just gone on a rampage and threw all the goods before Dimitri Aris came and saved the poor servants.

Dimitri Aris is the third person Catlyn Thunder respects in addition to her father and mother. Dimitri is his guardian.

"There is no need to be discouraged" said his guardian. "Loose is not the end of the world."

"But—" Catlyn's words were cut off when the VVIP door suddenly opened and a man in an angelic manner stepped in to be greeted with a bow of respect by the servants, even Dimitri.

"Earth!" catlyn exclaimed as she slammed into the man's arms. "Why are you here?"

Migi Vox suddenly appeared from behind the angel-looking man's back and smirked.

Catlyn flinched and jumped off her embrace. "He's…"

"You've mastered the science of shadow centering?" Dimitri.

The man-Nazareth, remained unmoved with a flat face.

"What is the science of shadow centering?" catlyn asked Nazareth. Then glanced at Migi Vox with fear.

"We're talking somewhere else" Nazareth said as he turned around and walked slowly out of the room.

Catlyn followed him with a twig of joy.

"It looks like you've made a lot of progress over the years" Nazareth said after they reached the balcony at the end of the corridor. He stood his back to Catlyn and looked loosely into the side yard of the multipurpose building under his feet.

Migi Vox tilted his head from behind Nazareth's shoulder and grinned at Catlyn.

The girl gulped and frowned.

"It's level twenty-five!" Nazareth finally turned to Catlyn and smiled. "You're finally growing up."

Catlyn was still frozen in place, staring at Migi Vox restlessly. "What is he really?" he asked half hissing.

"Just marionette," Nazareth answered while lowering Migi Vox to the floor using a thread of light from the tip of his fingers. Then move his fingers and Migi Vox moves according to the movements of his fingers.

"How can he also smile and blink?" Catlyn asked again. Brow wrinkled. Next to her slender eyebrows raised high.

"That's what is meant by the science of shadow-centering" Nazareth explained. "I forcibly split myself, then sealed a part of myself in Vox's body."

"The fox?" Catlyn frowned deeply.

"The name is Migi Vox" Nazareth said. "You can call him Vox."

"You're linking his name to every one of your books?" ask Catlyn.

Nazareth responded with a faint smile.

"Do you know?" Catlyn asked again. His face turned grim. "Not once did I see Dad daydreaming while looking at your books."

Nazareth bowed and pulled Migi Vox back into his lap.

"Dad must have wished you well to go home" Catlyn said sadly. "Come home with me, Earth!" her door. "Actually, I always miss you."

"Dad too!" Catlyn added.

Migi Vox looked over Nazareth's shoulder with the innocent look of a child.

Catlyn blinked and looked at him in wonder. How interesting! he said in his heart.

"Are they okay?" asked Nazareth in a flat voice. His gaze shifted again to stare at the empty air outside the balcony railing.

"They're very good. Dad's old, "catlyn's story is pitying. "Most of the imperial matters were taken care of by Uncle Kush. Go home, Earth!"

Nazareth let out a heavy sigh and turned to Catlyn. "Now we may meet again" he said expressionlessly. "Don't be discouraged by your defeat today!"

"You saw my fight today?" Catlyn knitted her brows.

Nazareth smiled faintly.

"I humiliate our family and the empire" Catlyn said bitterly. Then he fell down with a sad face.

"Losing isn't scary at all, Catlyn!" Nazareth advises. "What's scary is that you can't draw lessons from defeat."

Catlyn blinked and gulped, then raised her face, looking at Nazareth with a glare.

"From the beginning, your journey was too smooth" Nazareth said. "This mistake came on time. Makes you absorb lessons. Growing up in defeat is something you've never experienced. You need to experience it to grow."

"Growing in defeat?" Catlyn was again bowed with a frown.

"Do you know where your mistake is?" ask Nazareth. "You don't actually lose to your opponent. But you lost to yourself."

Catlyn looked at Nazareth again. His forehead is still wrinkled.

"You look too high on yourself!" Nazareth. "The reason you can lose today, is because in your heart there is pride that comes from the empire."

"A Vanity?" Catlyn lowered her head again with an injured face.

Nazareth let out a short sigh and patted Catlyn on the shoulder.

"If there's a next chance, I won't lose to him" Catlyn said.

"There will certainly be a chance, of course" Nazareth responded with a faint smile. "Because I'm his guardian."

Catlyn was stunned and wide.

Nazareth patted Catlyn on the shoulder once more. Then walk through it.

"Wait!" Catlyn suddenly turned around and slammed into Nazareth's back and hugged him. "Earths! Will you teach me?" the door was half whining.

Simultaneously, Evelyn appeared at the end of the corridor with Xenephon about to cross into the other hallway towards their room.

Realizing Nazareth was there, Evelyn stopped and turned to approach him. But then it froze to see a pair of hands coiling around the man's waist.

His smile instantly vanished and his knees seemed to waver. His heart beat that was originally pounding with excitement suddenly rumbled from being hit.

Nazareth blinked and looked straight at Evelyn while whispering to Catlyn. "If you really want to become a great Spiritual Master, make him a target!" It tells. "If one day you can pass through it, then you can stand at the top of the world's Spiritual Master."

Catlyn pulled her face from Nazareth's back, but did not let go of her embrace on the man's waist. "Why?" ask her with a sulking tone. "He's very strong, but I think there's something wrong with the data. His spiritual power shouldn't be much different from mine, right? Moreover, her protective fairy was only a plant. If I had used the light technique in the first place, in a light fight, I would have won against it."

"He was right" Nazareth said without looking.

"Imust be!" screeched Catlyn as she let go of her embrace quickly, then turned in front of Nazareth.

Evelyn held her breath and smothered her mouth with her fingers. Catie Hell! the pekikin' in heart. She's Nazareth's girlfriend? Is that why Nazareth didn't smile even though I won the final fight?

"He is indeed level thirteen" Nazareth assured Catlyn. "But.." he hung up his sentence and smiled faintly. "Ah, stop!" he said then rushed towards Evelyn who suddenly turned away and scattered away from the corridor. "Later you'll know for yourself." he added as he ran.

Catlyn froze with her eyebrows intertwined, looking at her brother with squinted eyes. He is not usually in a hurry! thought surprised.
